I feel like a pain in the rump but,

I am a true beginner and as such get very lost. I am self teaching myself how to design and create websites. The main reason is to build my own. The other reason is that I might be able to pull in an extra income if and when I become skilled. With that in mind, can you help me with the directions on duplicating my background fill from my Home page to the others. It is a bit difficult as I am using a gradient background. Thanks for all the other help and I want to thank you, in advance, for your help here.

I don't know if I am allowed to publish the same website to 2 different hosts but, I will be publishing to my new domain at GoDaddy.com. I would also like to put it up at Business Catalyst just for show. I already have an account with the first place and it comes with $200 worth of advertising on Google, Bing, and Facebook. I have some experience with AdSense so I hope it won't be difficult to get things going. I also have 500, available, email addresses. I only need 5 to 10 at most!

You didnt buy a "clearance" item, you just got an Air that was there at the shop before Mavericks was released.

WMA files are 'window media audio' files, which is a Microsoft format. If you want to add them to your iTunes library on your Mac then you will need to convert them into a compatible format first. If you still have your windows machine then iTunes for Windows can convert them from WMA to MP3 format : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24158701#24158701

Error while opening iTunes CD driver. This could be caused by a corrupted iTunes file or a conflict with other older CD burning applications, either currently installed or previously installed and uninstalled incorrectly.
With that one, I'd start with solution 3 from the following document:

This is hardware fault of LCD Display or Logic Board Display controllers. Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. See if better. If still problem and you have Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, the next step would be replacement of entire front assembly. If still problem there is no resonable fix. If you want this handled by Apple, they do not replace iPhone 4S front screens, they replace the entire iPhone 4S exactly like yours for $199.

OK, so I cut my cable tv and lost my good deal on cable internet, and went with my phone company (Aliant) for new internet service. It's ADSL, which I was able to get working on an older ubuntu computer, but no go so far here. In fact I can't even get a windows partition to recognize and set it up with the install CD...but that is another kettle of worms.
I followed the wiki below:

but although it says it is connected, no traffic can pass either way. pppoe-status , says it can't find some pppoe or pppd PID file in /var/run

I would like to convert all three of my boxes to arch, but until I settle this problem my ubuntu box is the only one which can access the internet.

Hi! What about configure your modem to connect directly? Usually there is a web interface in modem (gateway) for that.

I've followed instructions but cannot save a PDF as a JPEG file. It appears like I'm saving the file but no file gets saved. Help!

My Acrobat Professional 7 will not save a PDF file as a JPEG. I have followed the instructions to the letter and it appears like all is fine, but when I go back to retrieve the file, nothing got saved. How do I fix this?

Does this issue occur with other pdf's as well?
Is Acrobat 7 updated to the latest patch? Did you try repairing Acrobat from the 'Help' menu and check?

Trying import files to imovie project like it shows in the tutorial, but the program hung. what to do?

I tried pick the file with formats like .avi .mkv or smth like that - does not see it

Not possible. You can't put a folder of Firefox bookmarks on the desktop, and you can't access Firefox bookmarks without Firefox running.

I had broken out of using the default quiz slides and had recreated as my own slides mainly so the user only had to click once and regardless of what was clicked, they received feedback and went on to the next slide.
I'm thinking about rewriting the script to include a few scenario based interactions that should meet the requirement of knowledge checking and, hopefully, not feel like a quiz.

Just wondering if anyone shares how I feel. I bought a G5 Imac 2.1 Ghz a little over a month ago, I am doing some video editing etc.....
Now with this new one out so soon, I feel like an idiot buying the other one (20' inch at $1700).... I could really use the extra speed (if it's true that it's twice as fast.)
I wish they would have offered some type of an upgrade offer for people who bought their Imacs just recently..

I was planing to wait until the intel macs came out to buy a new computer (My first Mac btw).... but when the G5 iMacs with iSight came out, i couldn't resist... and convinced myself that i would be waiting a long while till the intel macs were released... so i got one...

sure, the new ones might have a few problems, but i can handle that, i would rather that, than this G5 that is going to age FAR quicker than the new Intel ones... and my iMac is only ONE MONTH old... and it is out of date already!!

I feel like I'm asking the newbiest question in this forum, but I'm a little lost. I found google-chrome in the AUR, but when I try to install it with pacman, it tells me it can't find it. I thought that pacman just pulled from the AUR. I guess I don't really understand what the AUR is or how it works.

I'd like to echo this. Building packages from AUR is really not difficult, and using a helper really obscures several of the steps. If you build "by hand" you will learn more about tar, and about pacman. The AUR page in the wiki makes all this very clear. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR
