I figured out how to go back to 2.0 on 3G iPhone
After Mobile Me and 2.0.1 rendered my 3G iphone unusable and having no way to restore to 2.0...
I finally gave up.
Restored as new iPhone about 15 times
Restored from backup about 15 times
Hard resets daily
Turn on then off daily
Reset Network settings
Pull and put back SIM card
Brand new SIM card
On and on and on.
None of my 3 POP accounts would get or even receive email. The phone would "ding" and there would be no message count beside the account. Just "load more messages..3 total 3 unread" the messages were there, but they were invisible.
So I went to the nice folks at the Genius Bar with my list of attempted fixes, showing them in person the missing message issue and they were kind enough to replace my phone which comes out of the box as 2.0.
All day today no resets POP mail works fine (manual only), no crashing apps.
I'm not upgrading until I here enough from you guys that it's safe.
Thanks to all on these forums for your help. My phone was beyond help and needed to be replaced.

No, all purchases made with an Apple ID remain with that Apple ID and cannot be accessed using the other Apple ID.
I know this is a pain but that's the way it is. As far as anyone knows individual accounts will always be "active", but they cannot be merged.

I rented a movie and accidentally hit the menu button and now I can figure out how to go back and watch it . When I try to press rent again it says you have already downloaded this movie go to settings and check for downloads but I can find it download in settings.
I had the same issue with my apple tv 3rd generation. I rented Sinister and selected the "rent and watch now" option. Half way through the movie I accidentally pressed the menu button. When I looked for the rented movie on my apple tv I could not find it. Not even above the movie pannel where "purchased" and "top movies" comes up on the main menu. the apple tv suggests to go to settings>downloads but I don't have that option. I did go to settings> itunes store> check rentals but that didnt work either. It took too long to even check. Thank you because this SOLUTION worked great.
SOLUTION: How to reset apple tv 3 3rd generation to view rented movies:on the apple tv remote: press and hold "menu" to go to the main menu. Select SETTINGS> GENERAL >RESET >RESET ALL SETTINGS. After the apple tv resets, input all your information again and your rented movies should be visible when you cruise above the "movies" section. THANK YOU!!
Apple needs to solve this issue because honestly it took me 3 hours and a half to watch a movie that only lasted 2 BECAUSE I wast trying to solve the issue, reseting and all. blahh. -
I recently upgraded to iOS 8. Looks like the pics I had in my messages are no longer appearing as pictures, rather they are appearing as JPEG files (not broken jpegs). I need to get these pics. Can't figure out how to do it. I'm on an iPhone 5C.
I've tried resetting my phone, looking for the pics in the new 'deleted' folder. I tried forwarding the jpegs to sees if they'll appear in a new message (but turnout the phone won't let me forward these pics). Apple is trying to say it's the 30 day reason, but I know that is not the problem. ALl of my pics older than 30 days were viewable. It is the upgrade that screwed this up. Help! You can also use your PC mouse.
As for iPhoto, it sounds like you were trying to move files around in the library. That is a bib no-no in Aperture or iPhoto. -
I can't figure out how to get the music on my iPhone5s to shuffle. If I use the arrows to skip a song, it shuffles through a handful of the same songs then goes back to the song menu. Help please!
Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

I have home share turned on and have a desktop for the main acct and a laptop and an I-phone. I purchased music on my Iphone and can't figure out how to get it onto move the desktop or laptop. It's very frustrating because I don't understand some of the I-tunes terminology and I have read through it all and did what sounds right but still no success!! Grrrrr.....I feel like I need someone to walk me through it!

You will find that if you use the "Refine the List" option just above the most recent thread title you can select the Mail Tag and it will show you a list of Topics that have been tagged with Mail.
When you post you can also choose to add these tags as it then helps people to find them (Some of the regualr posters concentrate on specific things and there are Mail Experts out there - I know I had to ask myself the other day but in Leopard and about a different matter).

My laptop running ms and outlook had to be re-loaded and as a result I lost all of my Internet explorer favourites. As I run iTunes on my laptop I do have all of th favourites synced through iTunes to my ipad2. How can I reverse synch my ipad2 so that the bookmarks are transferred back to my outlook pc

I am certain I accidentally hit a button that said something about restricting access. It happened fast. I now cannot send email from sites or use AddThis to send things to others. I am not a sophisticated user but have gone through the Privacy and Security settings on Mozilla and can't find where I can restrict or unrestrict my access to this feature. When I try, I get a message that I am "unauthorized to access this service". Many thanks - I know is is simple, I just don't know where to find it.

Photo Stream is not a respository for archiving photos. It is a cloud storage device that will store the last month or last 1000 photos taken by any device on the same Apple ID, and then will "share" those photos with all other devices that have Photo Stream turned on,and that are logged onto the same Apple ID.
iCloud backups will contain all of the photos that were on your camera roll the last time you backed up your device.
If you have photos outside of the Photo Stream parameters, and they are not all on your current camera roll, then you have no way to retrieve them unless you have imported them to the computer you sync with or have uploaded them to some other cloud service like DropBox.

Hi, My power went out a couple of days ago and my printer wasn't on when I came to use it. I unplugged and replugged in and now it is on but won't print. It says it is offline. I have re-configured the network and it show on my computer but won't print still says offline. Please help. I have things I need to print asap;!!

Anyone figure out how to roll=back to previous version iPhone OS?
3.0 just doesn't get it for me. This past week I've completely reset my iPhone 7 times. This is just nuts. Wifes phone is doing exactly the same thing.
Apps crash immediately, reboot the iPhone takes about 15 minutes to come back, apps still crash, rebuild fixes it but it comes right back.Do you mean a 'reset' or 'restore as new'? The two are vastly different, although either may work.
A reset is pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
A restore is done through iTunes on your computer.
Also, you wouldn't happen to be Jim North from DeSoto and TAMU would you?

Figured out how to SMS back to an email address
So I frequently receive SMS messages to my iPhone via the @txt.att.net route from an email account. I was disappointed that I could not respond. Well if you add the strange number that comes across [ 1 (010) 100-125 ] as a new contact, you can. Just text message back to that number added as a phone number to a contact. Unfortunately any new responses from that email do not stay within the conversation and are sent as a new thread.
Still waiting to SMS to a group.Still...that's good to know.

How do I get my 300 playlists back on my IPhone after installing new IPhone software? The playlists still show in my ITunes on my computer but not in my IPhone. When I switch to synch by playlists and begin checking off the lists, the memory bar fills up. These lists are suppose to be in the ICloud and not go against my memory . I had access with my playlists to more than 18,000 somgs on my IPhone until this new Apple IPhone software update came alg. What do I do?
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Can't figure out how to keep two different sites...
How can I keep two sites and be able to get to both of them. When I create an iMovie and go to the share tab to share it wants to put it in the last site I created. What if that's not the site I want it on? I can't figure out how to go back and forth to the sites and update them without them writing over each other...

Regarding Varkgirls suggestion about iWebSites:
I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.
