I went to my Best Buy store #55 in N. Richland Hills, Tx after calling them asking if they have any iPhones an the lady I spoke with said they had one more so she pit it on hold for me. I tried updating my iphone 4 to 7.1.1 and it went straight into recovery mode.... I finally got my iphone out of recovery mode, but now it won't accept my Icloud info and states "An error occrured while trying to save the Icloud account?" What do I do????
Same situation. I installed iOS 8 beta 4 on my iPhone 5 and a few days later my iCloud account disappeared. My contacts and calendar entries are gone.
My Mac Mini and MacBook do sync as they should with iCloud.
When I try to log in to iCloud on the iPhone (the username shows "[email protected]" and password shows "required"), I put in my username and password and tap "Sign In", It says "Verifying" at the top and after a while checkmarks appear next to my username and password. Then I get an error message saying "An error occurred while trying to save the iCloud account". If I tap OK the message goes away, leaving my username and password intact (checkmarks are now gone). If I tap "Sign In" again I get a message saying " '[email protected]' is Already Added. This iCloud account has already been added to your iPhone". If I go back to Settings and then go into iCloud again it's not set up and appears as I stated at the beginning of this paragraph.
Nothing works and the sync does not occur. Contacts are empty and Calendar has no entries. -

Today I Finally Got My iPhone..
So It's awesome. but i can't figure out how to get it to connect to wifi. i know i have it. it says im connected but it still shows the edge network at the top. anybody know how to turn wifi on and turn edge off? please Thanks!

Congratulations on your new iPhone. I managed to get one a few days ago, too.
As far as I can tell, once you have enabled Wi-Fi and have connected to an access point, the phone will then access all web/e-mail etc through that, rather than the 3G. It doesn't switch off the 3G as you may still want to receive phone calls.
If you do indeed wish to disable the phone facility, go to Settings and select 'Airplane mode'
If you go to Settings/General/Usage, you can keep an eye on how much data you have used over 3G.

Got an iPhone 3G 16GB that I've had since about October. Intermittently over the last few months it'd been draining the battery within the space of a day.. I took it into the Apple store having booked an appointment at the genius bar. The iPhone was 'diagnosed' and was apparently fine - the guy recommended a restore which I forgot about as the problem was so infrequent and not reproducable.
For some reason in the last 2 weeks or so, the phone has become a real pain in the backside, draining the battery within a day and has now started to get very warm to the touch. I only use the phone lightly - a tiny bit of WiFi each day (approx 3 mins) and about 5 texts.. I only enable WiFi when I want to use it (and disable it when not using it) and never even have Bluetooth enabled.
Frustrated with the situation I finally relented and did a full restore last night to a clean 2.1 image.. I've subsequently only re-installed 2 applications of the 20 or so I did have installed - Twitteriffic and an application to authenticate me to the Bluesocket WiFi system we use at work. Lo and behold, it behaved even WORSE today taking me down from fully charged at 8am to warning about only 10% battery life remaining by 5pm...
I'm starting to wonder if the Bluesocket application is somehow involved - perhaps crashing and somehow running in the background? I can't think what else would be to blame? I'm going to restore it again tonight and install NOTHING and see how it behaves... but in the mean time should I be booking another Genius bar appointment?

Yeah - I always found the same thing. The usage counter would creep up even though I'd barely used the phone...
Since my original post I stripped back on applications and simply installed Twitteriffic. I've found that the BlueSocket application I was referring to seems to be to blame... I think it was, somehow, crashing out or something or somehow holding the WiFi connection open even after I'd disabled it. Without the Bluesocket application installed, and with me manually having to log on to my work WiFi system, I'm now getting about 3 days out of the phone...
Need to speak to the developer of the app I think! -
IPhone 6 16gb replacement for 64gb?
Hi, I've got my iPhone 6 16gb since the release date and now I run out of space very often. I also paid for apple care warranty. I realize I should have bought the 64gb and I'm wondering if it's possible to exchange my 16gb for a 64gb by paying the 100$ difference. If not, what could I do? I mostly run out of space because of games and apps like spotify that fill up my storage as I use it a lot.
Hope you guys can help me. (Sorry for my bad english by the way, it's not my first language)

IPhone 6 16gb, IOS 8.1.2No. Apple will only replace it with a like item under the warranty. They will not replace a working iPhone under warranty at all.
You will need to sell it on your own and then buy the correct one. -
I have an IPhone 4, and I wanted to reset it, but couldn't do it via computer because the "find my IPhone" was turned on. So I went to ICloud > Find My IPhone and just erased my phone from there. The was acting weird but I finally got to a black screen with the spinning circle. And it won't advance. I can't just hold the sleep button and home button down because my sleep button is broken! Any help? I have reset my phone before.

i have an iphone 3G 16GB 4.2.1 - i moved back to canada and got telus mobile service. they cant get phone working because cellular data network tab/button is not on my phone. How do i get it on there
OK. T-Mobile is NOT owned by AT&T... yet... The deal hasn't gone through yet. T-Mobie's US network is not compatible with the iPhone. Lots of things don't work right. There is not, and never has been an unlocked 3G sold in the US. Don't know where the phone originated, but more than likely it was in the US. If that's the case, the phone has been hacked/jailbroken to get it to work.
Have you tried doing a restore or restoring the phone as new? I have to warn you, if you do so and the phone is hacked/jailbroken, it will re-lock to AT&T and will become unusalbe. I think your best bet right now might be to save yourself a lot of grief and just upgrade to new phone from a legitimate source.
I would never even consider buying an iPhone on ebay. 99% or more are hacked, jailbroken and/or stolen. -

Finally got round to buying an iPhone 4, really excellent to start with. The sharing of music from my Mac Mini was excellent. ios6 update has ruined all that! The artist view miss's out most of my music and the sharing sometimes doesn't work at all!
How do I get this feature working again? I am reluctant to move to iTunes 10.7 because I don't trust Apple at the moment.My suggestion:
1) Always using MAC AIR with the power plug in.
2)Don' let the power level of battory fall under 30% percentage.
3)If the MAC can't be recharged now, just let it be with power plugged, WAIT... -
My Wife got an iPhone at work. IT set it up the first time on another machine, they finally install iTunes on her machine but I don't know if she can sync without loosing Photos, SMS, and other things. She had six months of stuff on that phone?
The problem is she can't update to new software until she connect to iTunes, but she don't want to loose all that info.
My question is:
If she register her apple ID on that new computer, and sync the phone, will she loose everything? or iTunes will back up first (because apple id match) and then sync.
Otherwise, how can I do it? The closest apple store is 3 hours away. thanks!Before you connect to a new PC, make sure that autosync is disabled in Edit/Preferences/Devices, otherwise her phone will be wiped during the following sync.
If she has data on the phone she wants to save, back up manually:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to her new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing. Transfer the purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.

i just got an ihome system and had trouble with it connecting to my iPhone. I finally got it to work and now my itunes doesn't recognize my phone. My software is up to date on both my Mac and my iPhone and I have shut everything down and restarted. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?

hi, I finally got lucky and past the "other" memory status issues when syncing. Now I'm "waiting for changes to be applied" sync stuck all night (itunes yesomite iPhone 6 plus). is this a bug? I have not had a single successful sync with yesomite.
please help. this issue prevents music from syncing. I have set the sync setting to convert songs to 192kbps AAC to save space, I figure that could slow the sync
down, but it's hanging indefinitely (I've left it for 24 hours with out it completing.)
the the only music that appears on the phone are songs purchased from the iTunes Store. 95% of my collection are rips from my CDs.
thank you for any help!Yeah it's pretty sad that $1000 phone they put out you such cheap memory It causes issues, I have iPhone 6+128 GB actually this is the second brand-new one they gave me because they keep affording it trying to act like that's not the issue because they're too stupid to know how to check what memory is in each one before they give it to me when I have told them multiple times my back up runs perfectly fine on two 5s phones and a 6 64GB of course running MLC memory.
I told them it's because just like the write ups say I have 809 apps but I have not even put all my music on the phone so I'm still running 50 to 60 gigs free and it crashes and reboots itself sometimes in multitasking and more often than it does that in between multitasking I get a black screen for 1 to 2 seconds in between apps and upon start up the Apple logo screen will flicker and do weird things, One of the genius idiots asked me if I could just delete some of my apps, really that's the answer to fix the phone the customer needs to limit the amount to apps they put on their phone, why the **** get a 128 gig if you can't put on anything you want to it guess they need to start selling them saying you can only put a limited number of apps on them, it's really is a **** joke, I have over $20,000 of Apple merchandise easily and always get the new phone every year but I'm starting to reconsider my decisions in the future because this company is starting to go downhill, The reason water not recalling the phones is because they're dealing with their top-of-the-line thousand dollar phones in this case and most people don't have over two or 300 apps so they're not having as many issues, so basically they have messed up phones they just don't know it in their hands and Apple is just too **** greedy to recall the phones, they'd rather sell customer spends that only work half ***.
Stuff like this will be the downfall of their company, all the people that stay with them because as long as you don't jailbreak their stuff it normally just works without issue will be soon jumping ship if stuff like this keeps up, because I can guarantee they got me thinking now.
not that I wanted to know or should I be expected to but I even offered for them to open up my brand-new phone and just replace the memory to MLC memory which is something I shouldn't have to do with a brand-new **** phone, they should just make one with the right memory and give me a new phone, actually just don't sell customers that buy the top-of-the-line phone from you trash ones in the first place that would be a great option.
what burns me up the most is when you talk to AppleCare and Genius Bar they try to act like the issue isn't there and they're unaware of it, they say that Apple hasn't come out with any information about it, yeah that's because they don't want to recall the trash.
Apple has became nothing better than your run-of-the-mill company, android is becoming just as good as they are sad to say this since I have been an Apple fan for so long but there is no excuse for BS like this they have been looking for options to fix my phone for a month now this is not the way you should treat loyal customers, I would've been better off keeping my 5S and in the future just switching to android.

Dear apple, I am really dissapointed with you. Around January 2013, my iPhone 4s 16GB White has hardware issues, which was the Wi-Fi grey out. The wifi grey out means that I can't access the wifi on/off button, and also it has no connection. I have put up with it for months, until june 7 when I decided it has been long enough, and I got a replacement. I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy. Obviously you don't all know how to do your jobs, because if you did, we wouldn't have this problem. I would like a replacement phone, ONCE AGAIN.
