I finaly succeded installing Macromedia Flash Player

This morning I tried to see something in youtube. As my
computer is new, I was asked to download Macromedia Flash Player. I
tried, it seemed to be installed, but nothing. Everytime I wanted
to see a video it kept asking to download MFP again. I have spent
my whole morning trying to solve the problem. I even tried phoning
customer service, but they only advise for products you have
bought, As MFP is free, the only solution they offer is to check
this forum. I found my solution here thanks to a person call
Rhemora. Thanks Rhemora, I hope you donìt mind I quote you! I
did it and it worked.

I have the same problem but your solution doesn't work for
me. My PC isn't new at all, this problem has come suddenly... I
don't know why and I can't resolve it. Does Flash player 9 works on
windows 2000 ?

  • Help installing macromedia flash player

Hi, I am having trouble installing macromedis flash player. I
am on the adobe web site download page, click on the download and
then a few seconds later it says installation successful. I do not
get any dialog box, gold security bar. But, when I visit websites I
get a message that says I need the newest version of the flash 6
plug in, and links me back to the download page. I did a search of
my computer for macromedia flash and could not find anything,
although it could be under a different name.
I am confused, how do I fix this? Thanks in advence!

    Hi
Flash 8 has a problem with limited users. check your level in
    'User Accounts' in Contol panel.
Also in 'Add or Remove Programs' you will see if Flash is on
    your system.
If you are a limited user get an administrative user to set
your account type to administrator temporarily ( XP Home ) or Power
user ( XP PRO ). Log onto your account, Uninstall Flash, then
    reinstall from website.
If this doesn't work then please supply more info i.e
Operating system, Single or multiple accounts on computer, SP2 ?
    Firewall/antivirus etc.

  • How to I install macromedia flash player

I need to view videos from my college website and neither my iPhone or iPad will view these.  I get a message that tells me to download macromedia, but it will not do that either.

iOS devices cannot and will not run flash player. See why.
You need to use a computer or other device that does support Flash.

  • System requirements for Macromedia Flash Player

Hi i was wondering if any one could help me i had a new
computer that's a Pentium 4. I was unable to install Macromedia
Flash Player so i looked at the system requirements and found that
only Pentium lll and below can support it. Is there any thing i can
    do?????

Perhaps you misread the requirements. I believe for flash
player 9 and 8 the requirments says Pentium II 450 or
    better.

  • Flash Player 9 is installed but I get a message "Macromedia Flash player required"?

I have installed the last 9th version of Adobe Flash Player.
Few weeks ago I had no problems with my browser when visiting
websites with Flash content and it was the same 9th version of
    Flash.
But now, when visiting some websites I get a message
"Macromedia Flash Player required" (but not Adobe Flash Player).
I've reset all settings in "Internet Options" dialog. I've updated
the last version of Flash Player. I have no problems when visiting
websites with Flash content with Opera, Mozilla Firefox and
Netscape Navigator. The only problem is with Internet explorer. And
what's strange? When I visit, for instance, www.lamborghini.it or
www.flash-game.net, there are no problems, but when I visit
www.dodge.be or I want to read some Course material in
    http://cisco.netacad.net I get
    that message.
I don't think that the problem is that Dodge or Cisco use
files of old version of Flash. Because, as I've already said, I had
the same version before, installed on my PC, and I had no problems.

Probably you get that message because the flash plugin
checker they implemented is checking for a specific version and not
    higher then x.

  • "Macromedia Flash Player"; vs. "Flash Player?"

    My new camera says
I need to download "Macromedia Flash Player": is that the same as "Flash Player?
I tried to download the new Flash Player just in case and kept getting an error.  During the download attempts it said I already had it (flash player) and asked if I wanted to rerun it.  That's what failed repeatedly.  It keep telling me I had to close "conflicting" Yahoo Messenger and Internet Explorer before it could continue.  How do I close something that isn't running?  I am "multiply" confused.  Can you advise?

Hopefully everything will work now, but I'm still confused.  I didn't get a chance to follow your instructions because in the process of trying to figure out how to close internet explorer and yahoo messenger without shutting down the install page; I succeded and then Incredimail popped up on the screen to "complete" the install it had been trying to do since yesterday.  As soon as  I managed to close those programs, it was all automatic.  I restarted AGAIN, just to make sure.  I went to the link you sent and it says I have:
    You have version 10,1,53,64 installed
However, when I open program "add/delete" on my computer; as before, it lists the Flash Player but there aren't any MB listed like all the other programs have.  I know it's working because Incredimail came back on.  Of course,  initially I tried loading the new player because my photo program claimed it couldn't run without it.  Why would they say that if I already had it because it appears that I did until I started messing with things.  Somehow it then went away.  I'll try my photo  program again tomorrow if I can find time.  I have 2 doctor appointments.
Thanks so much for all your help.  I hope you don't mind if I "keep you", at least until I make sure the photo program is happy with the Flash Player.  Thanks and good night

  • Can't update or uninstall Macromedia Flash player!

    Hi folks!
I've got a problem concerning the automatically installed Flash player. I am using a Qosmio G20.
While installing a new program (Lexware Financial Office) this program tried to update the Macromedia Flash player to the newest version. But the deinstallation of the old player was interrupted and the following message was displayed:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'install_flash_player_7.msi' in the box below.
    Use source:
    C:\Sysprep\
Closing this window does end the whole installation process of this new program.
After that I opened the list of installed programs to uninstall Flash manually, but with the same result.
Then I searched the internet for this install_flash_player_7.msi. I found the file but I still can't remove or update the Flash Player.
As a last chance I backed up all my data and used the recovery DVD to reinstall the whole system. Without installing any additional application, I had a look at the list of installed programs and guess what? The Flash Player has already been installed, so it is part of the recovery DVD.
But why can't it be uninstalled? I really need to get rid of the old player to be able to install Lexware Financial Office...
Thank you for your help in advance!
    Yvonne

    Thanks Eldorado,
but I think I explained it not exactly enough: I know that the old Flash installation is looking for a file that seems to be on antoher pc / server / disc or what ever, but the problem is, that I did not install the Flash Player that I would like to remove, respectively upadte to the newest version.
It is part of the Toshiba Recovery DVD. That means, after killing the HD and setting up the system completely new with the Toshiba Recovery DVD, this little tricky Flash Player is already installed.
It seems to be that there is a wrong link or setup on this DVD. But if that is the case, I can not be the only one with this problem, or?
And is there any way to remove this thing manually?
    Again, thanks in advance.

  • "Install Adobe Flash Player" is damaged and can't be opened

The subject line of this discussion is what is displayed when I go to try to install Adobe Flash. I have a Mac OS X 10.9.3. I had Flash downloaded for a while, but the last update wouldn't update. It would download, but then when I went to open it it would say "Retrieving Install" and the meter would remain at 0%. It never went a step beyond that. After trying many times, per the instructions of the website, I deleted Flash from my computer using the Adobe uninstaller downloaded from this site. Now that I am trying to reinstall Flash I keep getting the message "'Install Adobe Flash Player' is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image". What should I do from here? I would appreciate any help!

You should make sure you do a complete uninstall of the flash player first and then install the latest FP14 version from this link - Use http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_osx.dm g

  • How can I install Adobe flash player on my Mac using Safari OR Chrome? I have gone through every step on all of the help pages. The installation process always stops with the black box that briefly says, "Retrieving Install . . . ", then nothing.

I have followed every step in the various help pages I was directed to when troubleshooting the inability to install Adobe Flash Player on my Mac using either Safari or Chrome. Everything has failed. I always get the black box that says briefly, "Retrieving instal. . . " and then goes blank. When I close that window, I get the message, "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." Then it gives some links to follow for troubleshooting. I have followed ALL of the links there and on other help pages, to no avail. I've run into problems installing Adobe before, but it's never been this bad. Would someone please develop another format besides Adobe? Trying to get help from Adobe feels a little like trying to find a building in New York City with no map or GPS. The time required is voluminous, the emotional energy a/k/a frustration is overwhelming, and long before I get anything resolved, I wish the earth would open up and swallow all things Adobe@. Absence that miraculous intervention, I have to figure out what to do next. Does anyone know? Anyone?

  • Cannot Install Adobe Flash Player 11

I am trying to install Adobe Flash Player 11 onto a my computer but it just goes to 95% and locks up.
I am using Windows XP Pro- version 5.1, service pack 3
    Enternet Explorer 8- version 8.0.6001.187.02
The computer had a working copy of Adobe Flash 10X and Adobe Air on it.  When I could not get the Player 11 to install (went to 95% then locked).  I tried to un-install both the Flash 10X and Air, but they would not un-install (sent auto. error reports to microsoft).  So I used a pro un-installer program to uninstall them both, but the un-installer could not delete the "windows/system32/atmfd.dll" file.  Tried to un-install the atmfd.dll file manually but only get the "cannot delete atmfd: Access denied" error.
I have tried clearing all my browser cookies, history, ect., stop my anti-viruse program, ran a register repair program, and re-booting my computer, then running the Adobe Flash Un-install Program (which always shows that the fash program is completly un-installed) and re-running the Adobe Flash 11 install program again.
Same thing, the installer goes to 95% and locks up to the point that the only way to stop the installer program is to reboot my computer.
What can I do to get this Adobe Flash 11 installed, as since I removed the old Flash 10X program I no longer have any Adobe Flash?  Which I do need.

Ok, here is what I had to do to get the Adobe Flash 11 to install.
    (1. Run the Adobe un-install program from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
    (2. Go in c:/windows/system32 and delete the Macromedia folder
    (3. Run a register repair program to fix any register errors.
(4 Go in c:/Documents and Settings/Application Data and delete the Macromedia folder
(5 Go in c:/Documents and Settings/Application Data/Adobe and delete the Flash Player folder
(6 Go to Adobe.com and run the standard Adobe Flash 11 install program (the offline installer's at the Adobe site listed above would not run after I deleted the Documents and Settings/Application Data folders, for some reason)
(7 When it got to Finish, allow it to auto. open a CMD screen and then answered Y to both questions.
This is how I got it to complete the install and not lock up at 95%.  For some reason the Adobe un-install program was not removing the Documents and Settings Adobe Flash Player programs and these are what were locking up the install program.

My system is unable to uninstall and upgrade from Macromedia Flash Player 6.0 r21. I have tried the Flash Player uninstall and the Flash Player 6 uninstall. I have manually deleted the Flash.ocx files wherever they occur.
The Adobe Website acknowledges the latest Flash Player installed on my system, but when right click on a flash file I still only get the oprion of open with: Macromedia Flash Player 6.0 r21.
Ther are files which prompt me to upgrade to the latest Flash Player, which I have done on many occasions. Remove programs does not even list the Macromedia Flash Player 6.
I have even tried to upgrade to the later versions of versions Macromedia Flash Player 6, without success. I simply cannot get rid of Macromedia Flash Player 6.0 r21
I have Windows XP home SP2
    Can anybody help?

"The Adobe Website acknowledges the latest Flash Player installed on my system, but when right click on a flash file I still only get the oprion of open with: Macromedia Flash Player 6.0 r21."
Flash is designed to play SWF content inside a browser. It's a browser plugin.  It's not designed to open local SWF on your system as an installed application.  So when you update to Flash player 10, you're updating your Flash Player ActiveX control (for IE windows) or the Flash Player plugin (for Firefox and all other OS/browsers).
So, when you point your browser to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome and it says you have Flash Player 10 then you have the most recent version.  If you need to open a local SWF launch your browser and use file:open
Now, if you really want to try to get the older player off your machine I'd use the command line uninstall in http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402435.html
(but keep in mind that should uninstall ALL Flash Player files from your machine, so you'd have to resinstall FP10 afterwards).
