I find dirivers hp4142B for labVIEW applications

i would like to make an application with labVIEW and i need download a driver for hp4142B (it is a polarizzatore)

Hello "i find drivers hp4142B for labVIEW applications",
Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a driver for your hp4142B. I was able to find a driver for the hp4140 which may either work directly or work with minimal modification.
If you would like to try developing your own instrument driver (or modify the existing one), we have documentation, model instrument drivers, and driver templates to help at :
http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/development.htm
We also have a syndicate of third party vendors that specialize in National Instruments' products and services. Some of the vendors specialize in driver development. I would suggest contacting one of the Alliance members at:
http://www.ni.com/alliance
An instrument driver is a collection of funct
ions that implement the commands necessary to perform the instruments operations. In short, someone read the instrument user manual and implemented some of the functionality in a program for the end user. Instrument drivers are not necessary to use your instrument. They are merely time savers to help you develop your project so you do not need to study the manual before writing a program.
There are example VI's in LV on Instrument Connectivity. If you go to the Help menu >> Examples.. >> I/O, you will see a couple and Examples.. >> Fundamentals for File and String manipulation. I would suggest tweaking them to suit your application. Also the specific command that your instrument responds to can be found from it's manual.
Some useful resources for your application are
ni.com > NI Developer Zone > Development Library > Instrument Connectivity
http://search.ni.com/?col=alldocs&layout=TechResources&ql=a , to search examples and knowledge bases
Hope this helps!

  • Where to find the drivers for Labview 6.1 or 6.x

I use LabView 6.1 in our labs and due to that we have many old LV programs written on 6.x I can not use newer versions of LV.
But when I try to find the instrument drivers (Agilent 33250A arbitrary waveform generator) the only available drivers are for LV 8.x or 7.x.
So my question is where do I find the instrument old drivers for LabView 6.x?
    Thanks a lot,
    Al.

For existing drivers (not recently developed), you can send an e-mail to [email protected] and request LV6.x drivers.

    Hi,
How could we create Activation code for LabVIEW Application Exe to restrict use to Single PC using LabVIEW settings/add-ons.
I think NI should provide in-built feature in Application Builder to generate activation code as required.

  • Looking for HP 5371A driver for Labview 6.1?

want to communicate with HP5371A by PC over GPIB port

I think that device is too old for finding a driver for labview. If you have all the GPIB command, it's easy to program. I made it for another type of instrument.

  • Need a HP3421A native driver for labview 5.1

    Hi,
I'm looking for a native HP3421A driver for labview 5.1. Of course I searched in the "Instrument Driver Network" but I foundd only drivers for labview 6.0 and 7.0 or greater.
According to this document: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/321691a.pdf#search=%22labview%204.x%20hp3421a%22 there is a such driver for labview 4.x.
Any idea where I could find this driver for labview 5.1 ? A haven't any "Instrument Driver Library CD-ROM".

    hi there
the driver he is searching for can be found here (LV 7.0): https://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E969E659CE034080020E74...
the driver uses the old school GBIP functions, so it should be possible to downgrade it down to LV 5.1. do downgrade open the "HP 3421A Example.vi" and choose
    File->Save with options->Save for previous.
since you only can downgrade to the next prior version of LV you need a ladder of LV versions, but i'm sure that if you ask here you'll find someone who can do this for you.

  • SPC Toolkit for LabVIEW - where is it in the labview (8.5) developer suite?

I started using SPC toolkit for a project in Labview 8.2.1, had no problem until I upgraded my system to labview 8.5.  It said something like:
Some subvis are too old to be converted to 8.5.
I went to the Labview Developer suite CD album (labview 8.5), and couldn't find the SPC for LabVIEW, only for LabWindows / CVI.  Then I went to NI's website and tried to find more about the toolkit, it seems this one had disappeared into thin air, along with the Enterprise connectivity toolkit (or Enterprice toolkit).
Does anybody know if NI stopped developing / supporting the SPC toolkit? Or if NI included it into other toolkit or product?
    Thanks,
    -Joe

    Hi
sorry for a silly question, but I tried to locate the LabVIEW DSC Module 8.5 in my Professional development environment and I cannot find it.
Would you please tell me which disk is it on?

  • After Replace queue.llb and notifier.llb for LabVIEW 6.1, I can't use find examples.vi any more.

After Replace queue.llb and notifier.llb for LabVIEW 6.1, I can't use find examples.vi any more.Error list shows that SubVI 'EF-remove queue element with exit or error stop vi': subVI is not executable.

I believe that by your action, you removed the compatability VIs and it would appear that the Find Examples used the older queue functions that require the compatability VIs. I would suggest you revert back to the LLBs that were distributed with 6.1. The new queue functions are there for you to use in new development and older VIs won't be broken. You could also make a request to NI support to see about an updated Find Example that uses just the new VIs.

  • Where can I find FPGA replication tool (Set RIO Device Settings.vi) for LabVIEW 2013?

I just upgraded to LV2013SP1 and came across a VI that now is broken in my project: Set RIO Device Settings.vi (which is a part of RIOSystemReplication2009.zip). Apparently this happened in 2009 as well for a different VI in the same collection of tools (see Where-can-I-find-FPGA-replication-tool-for-labview-2009. I tried the mentioned VIs in this article but both of them are broken). Note that the Replication and Deployment (RAD) Utility does not seem to support the functionality that Set RIO Device Settings does, so I still need to use the old one.
Since the VI is password protected I cannot attempt to fix it. Might be something as simple as a type that changed...
    Any help appreciated!

    Hey Rob,
This problem has already been brought to NI R&D's attention, and they are working on a fix under Corrective Action Request (CAR) 454468. Unfortunately, until they fix the problem there may not be a way to correct the problem in the near future. The CAR is set for higher priority, so a fix could come shortly.

  • Where can i find the classID list for Labview 7.0

    Hello,
I'm looking for a list of classID for Labview 7.0
I found a list for Labview 6.0, but this list does not include the Subpanel control (for example).
Where can i find an updated list ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rainer

    Ben
    >Wow, what an entrance!
    >Welcome to the list PJM_Labview!
Thank you. I usually post on info-labview.
    >Where did you get that from?
I did not get it from anywhere or anybody, I built it.
One way to do that is to put on a Front Panel all the objects you want to get info about then with VI server you can get access to all of them(Open VI Ref->VI:Front Panel->Panel:AllObjects->Forloop->GObject:ClassID and ClassName) and get their CID and Class Name.
The problem with this is that it only work with object you know about; for the others I used another method.
There is a locked VI in LV7.0 that allows dynamic instanciation of controls. The name of the VI is "Get Contorl From Type Descriptor.vi" and it is located in LVRoot\proje
ct\_NewProbeWizard.llb\Get Contorl From Type Descriptor.vi. If you look at the type descriptor (of unnamed controls) you will see that the third number in the array is the CID. So it is possible to create a VI that generate all the objects refnums (to get their name, manually change them to a constant). I will caution anyone who wants to play with that VI, you WILL (<-no may, but will) crash labview by generating these refnums (so better save your stuff before hand).

  • Where can I find GPIB drive for Stanford SR830 lockin amplifier for labview 6?

Hi I am trying to work with the lockin amplifier (Model: Stanford Research SR830). Unfortunately, my computer only has labview 6 installed. Could you please let me know where I can download a SR830 driver of GPIB version for labview 6? I have checked the NI website. Only drivers for LabVIEW 8.0 and up are available here. http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=240C113D3165071BE0440003BA7CCD...
Please let me know. If any one could upload one, that would be so great. Thank you.

    Hi Wayne,
I am assuming you obtained the drivers from ni.com/drivers webpage? You can ask someone to convert it for you on the version conversion board and you should be good to go. If you create a new thread there please post the link to it over here so we can continue assisting you. Thank you and good luck!

  • Code written for LabView 6 cannot find SubVIs when run in LabView 2013

I am reworking some code that was originally written for LabView 6.1
There are quite a few SubVIs that the program was not able to locate when I launched the main VI:
    AI Config
    AI Start
    AI Clear
    DIO Clear
    Continuous Pulse
    Counter Start
    Counter Stop
    quite a bit more.
In searching the NI site for these, I come across articles referring to these SubVIs so I am wondering if this is something I am missing OR something that was renamed in later versions of labView.
    Any guidance?

Those vi's are from the traditional DAQ(Legacy)  palettes.  DAQmx has surplanted traditional DAQ.  (Years ago!)
You should strongly consider migrating the legacy program to modern methodologies using DAQmx- it is well worth the small investment.

  • I need the drivers of EDR Enhanced for LabVIEW 8.6 or more, please.

Hello, I want to acquire a signal with the microDAQ-Lite of EAGLE Technology and I need the EDR Enhanced LabView Driver. The one I have is for labview 6.x or 7. Currently I am working in Labview 2010 so I am needing the drivers for this version. I have found in a webpage (http://edr-enhanced-for-labview.software.informer.com/8.5/ ) that a version developed by National Instruments for version 8.5 exists, it says it is free, but i cant find it. Does anyone knows if a newer version exist? or where can I find the latest one?? Please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Alejandra

NI does not develop drivers for third-party DAQ devices. Contact the vendor or use the driver you have. You can load version 6 and 7 into LabVIEW 2010.

  • LabVIEW Application throws Error in Run VI Invoke node

    Hi All,
We are facing an issue with an application developed from LabVIEW 2010SP1.
    Application Description:
In our application, there is a top level VI which tries to run VIs dynamically[using Run VI invoke node] from a particular folder. This folder is like a plugin - not part of Exe. This implies when the top level VI is launched, the plugin VIs under particular folder will not be in memory. When we try to run a VI dynamically from the  top level VI, the VI execution works perfectly in LabVIEW development mode.
    Problem Faced:
When we created an EXE, it worked well in my PC [LabVIEW is installed]. We created an installer and tested in few other PCs.
[Non LabVIEW PCs – Win XP and 7]. In few PCs it throws the following error, when the plugin VI is run dynamically.
Error 1003 occurred at Invoke Node
    Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW:  The VI is not executable. Most likely the VI is broken or one of its subVIs cannot be located. Select File>>Open to open the VI and then verify that you are able to run it.
    Method Name: Run VI
We tried the following possible ways to find the reason for the issue:
    1. Installed LabVIEW - Issue got fixed.
    2. Installed .net 2.0 without installing LabVIEW - Issue got fixed.
    3. But in one of the Windows 7 [Non - LabVIEW PC] in which .net was already installed, we faced the same error.
Only after installing LabVIEW the error got fixed.
    4. When .net 2.0 is uninstalled the EXE itself is broken.
We are not sure what is the Exact reason fo the issue. Anyone faced these kind of issues? Please share the solution. Thanks in advance.
    Note:
    1. The VIs which are dynamically called is a plugin and not a part of EXE.
    2. These plugin VIs have no dependencies from vi library and is completely isolated.
    3. We are not using any .net related objects in any of the VIs.
    4. The plugin VIs use Call library function node in which a C DLL developed from Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 is used.
    Thanks,
    Meena
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Error 1003: This clearly indicates that the 'Dynamic VI' is broken and now you should check for the various reasons, why the 'Dynamic VI' is broken.
Also path of 'Dynamic VI' is not a problem.
One thing that you may try is:
-> First open just the 'Dynamic VI' in a new LabVIEW project and check for the 'Dependencies'.
-> Now if any of the item in 'Dependencies', other than what is listed in vi.lib (lets call it 'Dependency.VI'), is also a part of your 'Main Exe', then its a problem. Because when you will execute the 'Main Exe', say in a new computer other than your development computer, it will load all its dependencies including 'Dependency.VI' (and the path will be within the 'Main Exe', but when it will try to (dynamically) load the 'Dynamic VI', this VI will also try to load the same 'Dependency.VI' but from different path and that will cause a conflict. I had experienced this.
-> If thats the issue, you may want to rename (add suffix/prefix) to all dependencies of your 'Dynamic VI' which is common to the 'Main Exe'.
    Hope this solves your issue.
I am not allergic to Kudos, in fact I love Kudos.
