I find it confusing when using Runkeeper

I can start Runkeeper from the watch but it is not clear how I can see how I am doing using the watch and how to pause, stop, or resume a run with the watch. has anyone been using Runkeeper?

Then why are the guides unlocked when I reopen a document that I saved with the guides locked ?

You are on the wrong forum, there is a differetn forum for elements.
In Photoshop the warp option is available regardless of whether you have used the lasso tool or not.

Cannot find security providers when using a security manager.

Hi all,
I've done stuff with JAAS and JSSE before, but this is the first time I've combined the two :o)
I have some code for an application server and I'm using SSL sockets in order to communicate with the outside world. These all work fine, no problems at all.
However, I want to control what code is executed on the server using the security framework. When I load my server using a security manager and custom security policy it seems that my app can no longer find the security providers.

Finder Locks Up When Using AEBS Attached Drives & Network Backup

This might be more of a general discussion as well as specific to my situation:
I have a new Airport Extreme Base Station with two drives attached via USB powered hub. #1 is an OWC 1TB drive and #2 is a Seagate Momentus 500GB drive. Both are HFS+, and I have never had any issues when attached locally.
I am attempting to back up using CCC and/or SuperDuper to the Seagate with a sparse bundle. Both programs hang up when trying to locate the drive. I am able to Force Quit once, but if I run the programs again the Finder locks up and I can't recover it even using Terminal.
I'm not sure what the problem might be. The network mounted drives are always visible; these lock ups seem to only occur when trying to backup. I've read Finder can be tempermental with networking.
I suppose, for troubleshooting, I should attach one drive directly and go from there?

Couldn't find delivery channel when using Mail-Package

Hi,
I use the mail receiver adapter. If I configure the mail header data (sender, receiver, subject) in the adapter configuration everything works fine. But now I need a dynamic subject, so I thought of using "mail package". But now I get an error "Couldn't find receiver channel for message..."
The mail package looks like this:

Crop Tool Confusion When Used to Change the Dimensions (but not the resolution) of an Image

Picture this. You have a real photograph in front of you. Its dimensions are 7x5 inches, and you want to cut out of that photograph, a 4x4” square. You’re not bothered by the rest of the photograph, you’ll discard that, so you mark your 4” square on the photo at the place you want to keep, and with a pair of scissors, cut (crop) the photo accordingly.
Using the analogy above, I’m having difficulty achieving what should be an extremely simple operation in Photoshop CC 2014. I have an image which is 5000px wide x 3800px high at a resolution of 240px/inch.
Using the “W x H x Resolution” option of the crop tool, I want to crop the image to 2100px x 2100px, maintaining the original image resolution of 240px/inch. No matter what settings I use in the crop tool toolbar, the crop tool insists on sizing the crop by assuming the full length of the shortest axis on my image. In this instance the vertical distance. If I initiate the crop, I do end up with a 2100px square image at 240px/inch, but the shortest original dimension (and hence pro-rate the image) has been rescaled and resized.
What I was expecting to see is the crop tool outline simply showing a square which represents 2100px a side at 240px/inch relative to the image I’m viewing. I would then drag the outline to the position where I wanted it, and then crop the image. This isn’t happening. I can manually resize the crop area with my mouse, and rely on the floating information pop-up to check the actual crop dimensions, but this seems counter-intuitive (not to mention difficult when attempting a pixel accurate crop).
Strangely enough, if I change the size of the crop window by using the mouse, and right click inside the crop area, the context menu has the option “Use Crop Box Size & Resolution”. Selecting this option updates the toolbar with the chosen crop size and everything is as expected. Surely, this is what the crop toolbar should do in the first place?
Am I missing something here? I may not perform this particular operation very often in Photoshop, but I’m sure it worked the way I thought is should before!

You'd better use the Marquee tool for this. Set the desired number of pixels in the options bar. Click and drag and finally Image > Crop.

Cannot find/see folders when using batch

Hi,
I am using CS3 on a VistaPremium machine.
When I try to convert a number of JPGs to TIFs using the batch function I cannot select any folder (nor as source nor destination), when I click the button it only lists Desktop, nothing else. I have tried switching from OS to Adobe dialog (has no effect, but worth the try).
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Sounds like a permission/ and or folder view issue. Under what kind of account do you run? Do the folders you are trying to pick show up correctly in normal Explorer?

Find affected rows when using OCIBindArrayOfStruct for UPDATE statement

If I run a bulk UPDATE query using OCIBindArrayOfStruct, is there a way I can tell which+ rows successfully updated?
I have a file of records of which 75% of PKs are already in the table and will be updated, the other 25% aren't and should be inserted later. I want to attempt an UPDATE statement on each entry in the file, using OCIBindArrayOfStruct to execute in bulk, and then check which entries in my bulk array successfully updated. If an array entry isn't successfully updated then I will assume it should be inserted and will store it for a Direct Path load later.
Many thanks for any advice you can give as I've been trawling through the docs trying to find a solution for ages now.

To get count from DB using dynamic SQL, you might need form to call a DB function that can run a query and return a number.
ie

My blind Mom can't find her Audiobooks when using the simplest of commands with SIRI?

I am experiencing problems with SIRI playing an audiobook for my blind Mom. What are the best routes to use this feature? Put all audiobooks in Music or can SIRI find audiobooks anywhere on my IPAD with the right voice commands and formatting. This is an experimental quest I am on the enable her to enjoy books without having to press a lot of buttons! For example, I have an audiobook of Jack London's White Fang but whenever I ask SIRI to play it, it comes back with White Thing!! pronounced Thang ?? Do I need to load a different dictionary of English and I enunciate the word FANG very clearly in English. HELP and Mom thanks you in advance.

Premier elements 10 can't find a burner when using Windows 8.1 Would using a USB disc burner solve the problem?

Using Premier Elements10 with Windows8.1, the program cannot detect a burner. I understand that Windows8 designates the burner as a DVD in order to facilitate drag and drop. I don't want to get too technical and want to know if purchasing an external USB disc burner will solve the problem. Will premier elements be able to detect this burner OK. I don't want to spend the money unless I am fairly certain that it will work.

There is no guarantee that you will not get a blank field for Premiere Elements Burner Location using any internal or external Blu-ray DVD CD burner or DVD CD burner.
If you go with an USB external burner, just make sure you have the back up of return/money back from the seller.
If you are dealing with just a DVD CD burner, you might try the following if you have not already

You might also want to consider an uninstall/reinstall of Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 8.1 64 bit following the scheme of
a. uninstall the usual Control Panel route

I accidentaly clicked "remove" when using find my iphone...how do I log in when my iphone is not with me to find it?

i was using "find my iphone" and when given the location it was an old location. A post read that the iphone was either turned off or the wifi was not being used. A remove or cancel button appears with this message. I accidentally clicked cancel and now when trying to retrive information about the location of my device it says that I must refresh page or set up instructions. There must be a way to reinstate my account without my device physically present but I do not know how...can someone help me?

What ever device you still have on had. Go to settings - general - about - name - then the name.
I have 4 devices 2 iphone and ipad - which I've name differently so I don't get confused when using find my iphone.

Confuse in use EL

Sometimes I feel confused when using EL in my jsf pages for this example:

The contents of ${ } just represents the whole expression. Everything outside ${ } is plain vanilla template text. Think about it once again, how would the EL parser know what exactly outside the ${ } to take in the evaluation of the expression? Everything up to the double quotes? No, that wouldn't make any sense ;)

Browser settings of safari when using college proxy

Background:I'm using macbook pro (mid 2012) and have recently updated it to OSX 10.9.
I'm using college proxy to run internet and i'm unable to connect my safari to net while others like firefox and chrome are running well.
I find this problem when using the college net only. When I use USB Data card to connect to net my safari is running well.
Before the software update I could atleast connect my app store but now I'm unable to do it.
Please help me out.

Why can't I see my media in the left sidebar when using finder?

I recently made the switch to Mac and I have some confusion. When using finder, I am not getting an option to browse through my media such as photos, videos and music. How do I get these folders to appear on my sidebar?

What you did doesn't show the Media Browser. It just shows the folders where your media is stored. You may be correct that was all that cobacc wanted.
The Media Browser shows the actual media in thumbnails so that you can preview the media.
However, neither requires any Sharing services to be enabled.
