You need to restore your iPod to factory settings/new iPod unless yo have a backup made before you added the Volume Limit. In that case you can restore from that backup

  • How do i reset pass code to unlock volume limit on ipod model mc525ll

I forget my passcode for my ipod 6th gen. model MC525LL.  i want to adjust the volume and can't without the passcode.  How do I reset it?  Thanks.

    Hi blondop,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you can restore the iPod nano and then set it up again. The articles below provide more details about the maximum volume limit and restoring the iPod.

    How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
    Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.

  • Volume setup and volume limit password setup

Here is my problem, My Ipod has very low volume. I tried using the various EQ styles but its still low in very volume.
I tried the volume limit adjustment but I have no password and it never gave me a chance to make changes. When I entered a four digit of a new password, it just blinked green and no chnage happened.
    Thanks in advance.

If you forget the combination, you need to restore the iPod.

  • Volume limit password

can't remember password for volume limit on iPod nano - any suggestions on how to retrieve it?

You can't. The only way to bypass it is to connect the Nano to your iTunes library and restore to factory settings. There is no other way unforunately.

If you no longer known the passcode for the volume limit, your only option is to connect the iPod to your iTunes library and restore it factory settings.

Do you have an iPod touch? This is the iPod touch forum. If so:
    Forgotten RESTRICTIONS Passcode
    - Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - If you are up to file manipulation see the following but it may not work for iOS 6.1.3:

  • How to work volume limit

How to work the volume limit

    Hey SugarSnap,
I found helpful information about the Volume Limit settings for iPod nano (7th generation) in the User Guide:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/ipod_nano_user_guide.pdf
    Remove the volume limit:
1 - On the Home screen, tap Settings > Music > Volume Limit.
2 - Drag the slider all the way to the right.
If you set a passcode, tap Unlock Volume Limit first, enter your passcode, then drag the slider.
If you forget the passcode, you can restore iPod nano. See Updating and restoring iPod
    software on page 60.
If you have an earlier iPod nano you may want to refer to that specific user guide. The following resource links to all user guides:

  • HT203681 Volume limit comes on with Bluetooth earphones on iPod generation 7 and won't go off

WWhen I connect Bluetooth earphones to iPod generation 7 the volume limit comes on automatically and won't go off

    Hi craig9798,
If you would like to change or turn off the Volume Limit on your iPod nano 7th Gen, you may find the following section from the User Guide helpful (pg. 25, PDF):
Set the maximum volume limit for iPod nano:
1  On the Home screen, tap Settings > Music > Volume Limit. The volume control shows the maximum volume limit.
2  Drag the slider left to lower the maximum volume limit, or right to raise the limit.
Note: In some countries, you can limit the maximum headset volume to the EU recommended
level. Tap Settings > Music, then tap the switch in the EU Volume Limit section to turn it on.
Require a passcode to change the volume limit:
1  After setting the maximum volume, tap Lock Volume Limit.
2  In the screen that appears, tap a four-digit passcode.
If you tap a number by mistake, tap , then tap the number you intended.
You can keep tapping to erase all numbers and return to the Volume Limit screen without setting a passcode.
3  When you’re prompted to reenter the passcode, tap the numbers again.
    Remove the volume limit:
1  On the Home screen, tap Settings > Music > Volume Limit.
2  Drag the slider all the way to the right.
If you set a passcode, tap Unlock Volume Limit first, enter your passcode, then drag the slider. If you forget the passcode, you can restore iPod nano. See Updating and restoring iPod
    software on page 59.

  • Any possibility of bypassing the EU volume limit?

I am (now) well aware of the countless posts on the EU volume limit, but what individuals may lack in power make up for it in number through the continuous probing on this matter.
Just to lay out the story, I have lived in Asia for the past 20 years, and during that time I have owned 2 iPods; a 40GB iPod Photo and a 30GB iPod Video. I recently moved to Italy to partake in a year's study abroad as part of my degree program in Australia, and sadly, shortly after arriving here, my iPod video died. So I naturally decided in replacing the iPod Video with a new iPod. I made my order through Amazon Italy, as it was cheaper buying a new one online than buying it from the Apple shop in Rome. The iPod had arrived last Friday (11th) and I finally synced it Sunday night.
To my surprise, after syncing my iPod, I was presented with what I now know as the EU volume limit, which I must say is the most annoying introduction to the iPod. I fail to believe why people should be subject to this ruling by the various policy makers in Europe when it should be a person's own prerogative to the volume they want to use for their audio enjoyment, regardless of whether it is deafening or not.
I hope a solution can be found, because I don'tt properly enjoy most of my music any more without having the bother of background noise being so noticeable. I use my iPod at a higher volume with headphones because I want a sense of isolation; not necessarily to go deaf, but so I can at least enjoy my music without having to hear background noise as well as filtering out disturbances so I can focus on my thoughts better. With the volume limit, it's just not enjoyable any more.

Asking the question again is not going to get a different answer. Sorry.
True, I wasn't expecting a new answer, as I pretty much guessed that the chances of that were nil by seeing how other posts of a similar topic had developed.
But I was actually wondering if there might have been any news on this gopod program I've read about? Apparently they've stopped support after gen 3/4? Anyone have any information on this? There website seems to be just a single page with no news or anything.
And you also mentioned amps, are there any that you could possibly recommend?
I was considering on possibly requesting for a reimbursement from Amazon, as this information on the EU volume limit was not disclosed in the product description. For someone like me who wasn't aware of this before purchasing, it certainly was an unwelcoming surprise to find it. That way, I'll see if I can acquire an iPod from a region which doesn't have the limiter implemented.
And thank you for your quick response, I appreciate it.

  • I have a apple 5s but i forget my apple id and password and i unlock my phone and now its unlock what can i do

i have a apple 5s but i forget my apple id and password and i unlock my phone and now its unlock what can i do

No.  Without the Apple ID and password, the phone is forever useless. There is no way around that.  This is an anti-theft security feature - Acivation Lock.  If it could be circumvented, it would be useless.
The article i previously posted explains how to find your Apple ID and password.  The fact that you found it useless suggests that this iPhone is not yours.

There is no default combination.  If you need to unlock the volume limit, you'll need to connect the device to your iTunes library and restore it factory settings.

  • I forget my ipad password what shld I do

I forget my ipad 2 password what should I do now, is there any possibility to get my password through my registered email

If you are talking about the passcode to unlock the iPad, nobody knows what the password is but you - and you apparently don't remember it either. The passcode can't be retrieved for you by Apple. You have to restore the iPad in order to unlock it now.
Read this carefully and read the very end of the article about if you have never synced with a computer before. That talks about recovery mode. You may need to use that.

  • I forget my backups password what can i do?

I forget my backups itunes password what can i do?

    Hello Nono1979,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you have forgotten the password for your encrypted backup the data is unrecoverable.
Warning: Make sure it's a password you will remember or write it down for safekeeping. If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and forget your password, you can't restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable.
If you can't remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and choose set up as a new device when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore.
