Yes, you will still get the prompt.
I meant reset then try the recovery mode restore again.
You can also try DFU Mode.
DFU (Device Firmware Update) Mode is different than Recovery Mode.
DFU Mode is a special mode where the device can still interface with iTunes, yet it does not load the iBoot bootloader.
DFU Mode:
Plug your device into your computer.
Turn off the device.
Hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Hold the Home button without releasing the Power button for 10 seconds
Release the Power Button but keep holding the Home button
Keep holding the Home button until you are alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode
NOTE: Make sure the device screen is blank and no logos are present. Be patient, it make take several trys.

Hi I'm Zeina Halim. I have an iPad 4 and I forgot its password. So I kept trying over and over again till it said iPad is disabled connect to iTunes. One problem I've never synced my iPad and apple is telling me the only way to reset the password is to erase all data from the iPad. So I'm asking is there another solution or can I atleast import the photos on some device before I erase it. Pls answer fast because I REALLY need to use it. Thank you

Mail forgets the password quite a lot and usally the same people.

Does any else get this and know the answer? On occasions a user sometimes gets the message: The IMAP server “address of server.co.uk” rejected the password for user (name of user).
However once I re-apply the password in workgroup manager using the same password it works? Why is this and how do I stop it? as its getting a little annoying now. Thanks

Most likely causes (especially since you mention it happens to the same users):
-The account got locked because of mistyped passwords (can happen easily if a mail client has the wrong password stored.
-The account is still being locked by a POP or IMAP client. Can also happen if a user checks mail in very short intervals (see mailaccess.log)
Under these circumstances, even if the password is still correct a mail client may think it isn't.
Next time it happens: Instead of re-applying the same password in WGM, try to stop and start mail services. If the problem goes away it is a mailbox locking issue, if it doesn't we'll take it from there.

You'll need to connect your iPad to the computer you sync with and restore your iPad as a new device.
Here are some links from Demo which provides all you need to know to do this:
Connect the iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. You probably need to restore the device. If it was disabled because you forgot the pass code, you will have to restore using recovery mode. As long as you restore with the computer that you always sync with, you will be able to restore from your backup at the very end and you will not lose any data.

If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone and use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
You can also wipe the iOS device by installing the FindMyiPhone app on another iOS device and using that app to wipe the device.

HT1766 If i have forgotten the password to my 4th gen. iPod can i restore it without erasing it?!?

I have forgotten the password to my iPod 4th gen. I have gone through the process of trying and trying to enter it until i get to the "connect to iTunes" screen. I do this and i follow specific directions until i get to the "Restore iPod" option. This also tells me that by restoring my iPod i will erase all media and data. I really don't want to do that... Can someone help me to figure out if i can "enable"/get back onto my iPod without erasing everything?!?!?!
P.S. - I am especially worried about losing my photos

Unfortunately, the only way to get past a forgotten passcode, it to restore it in iTunes on your computer. There is no way to retrieve a forgotten pass lock code. Restoring it, does erase the data on it, however if you ever synced this data over to the computer, then you can always sync it back.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Then I send it to the suppler where purchased this phone they told me there is no way to fix this unless I give them the Id and password .know I don’t know where I can go because in my Location nobody know how to fix this problem.

If you can't remember your apple id or password then sadly that phone has been bricked, without that infomation te activation lock cannot be removed by apple or anyone else.

Apps and Music are not from iCloud. Are from iTunes and App Store.
You can change this from: Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Sign out and sign in with new ID, but you will have to pay again to download apps that you already have in your old account. Or leave it as it is to share purchases with your son.
