I forgot my iCloud password and I am not able to change it. It just allows me to change my Apple ID and its password but not the one of iCloud. I tried to delete my iCloud account but then they ask me about the password. What can I do?

If your Apple ID is disabled for security reasons, try resetting your password via the web using the steps in this article:

You may not be able to change your iCloud email address, but once your password is reset you can remove your iPhone from Find My iPhone using the steps in this article:

I am trying to delete a user account but attempt locks up system prefs
I have been trying to delete a user account in 10.9.1 (Mavericks) on a 2009 Mac Pro. The problem is that System Prefs never completes the "archive account" and when check which processes are using up CPU time I find that writeprefs is pegged at 100% and has stayed at that level for seven hours plus. Of course the account is never removed and the only way of restarting the machine is to force quit system prefs after which the reboot works. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Had a main system drive go out. Replaced and reloaded and now trying to get firefox sync to work and when I put in login info and my key it says wrong key but I do not have any other key and have used this key for years.
Can someone help me fix this without having to recreate a whole new account?For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

I just bought an iPhone 4 a few weeks back. I tried to delete their icloud account, and add mine but it's asking for a password to delete it. I have no way to get in contact with them. Is there any way around it?
There's no way around it. The former owner needs to erase the phone and remove it from their account as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515. No one else can help with this, including Apple.

I can't access iCloud, i keep getting a message to try again later. This is the first time i have tried to log into icloud. I know my account is working, i want to access it from my macbook. Gosh, this is full of great information and I need something a little bit deeper - and because I'm not a techy - can I explain...Apple ID changed a year ago from a work email to a personal email. No longer have access to original email..... New email and Apple ID worked flawlessly until today - every 3 seconds Sign in to iCloud pops up.. with the old work email. I enter the password - which is the same... and it says invalid.
I tried to delete the icloud, but you need the password and it says "find my phone" is on... i turn it off, and it's the old email... and the password again doesn't work, of course.
I am left stratching my head... I sync my phone and my correct, up to date email is in the Apple ID sections...

How do I go about either stopping a delteing user account that is in action, or How do I reboot my computer? I am stuck not sure what to do! I am in the process of deleting two user accounts but I am stuck and can't turn my computer off reboot, or reverse it. Anyone have any ideas for me?

I have an airport extreme and express setup. My extreme is in my 2nd floor office with windows facing the water. My dock is about 250 ft away down a very steep hill. I have the express about 100 ft down the hill in an electrical waterproof box attached to a tree as high as I could install. The signal is weak and I'm thinking I might have to buy another express. Any thoughts on the best setup for me. I ultimately want to control speakers(hard wired in) down at the dock with my iphone. I have a receiver coming with airplay built in.
Thank you all for the responses. By process of elimination, I think the problem is the connection to the express in between the extreme and dock. I bought another express and tried it at dock, no luck, I then replaced new express where the one is between extreme and dock, no better. I unplugged the express between extreme and dock and there was no difference. So I believe I am connecting to the airport express or extreme that is inside the house. Again because when i approach express that is halfway I reconnect. so if you can understand my chaos, I believe the express in between is not really connecting to the extreme inside my house. Yes, No? So I need to know how to know if the express half way down the hill is getting the connection from the the extreme in the house. This is wearing me out!!!!!You are asking several different questions. If you need to store your photos, music, and movies on an external volume, you certainly can. Any externally connected hard disk drive will work, connected either directly to your Mac or to your Time Capsule as a shared volume.
You should not rely upon using that as a backup device though. Although you certainly may use it for both purposes, it is a better idea to have dedicated backup devices for a variety of reasons not limited to redundancy. You would not want to simultaneously lose all your pictures as well as your backup. If they are all on the same device, that could happen. Furthermore, a backup cannot back up the volume on which it is running.
As for adding an Extreme or Express, using its LAN port for your iMac, and then enable Internet sharing so you can effectively use the iMac as a "hotspot", you can do that too, but I am unclear on what benefit you believe this arrangement would convey for you.
An Extreme's Guest network is separate from its Main network; that is the reason for having it. -

to contact iTunes store support, follow these steps:
1. Go to expresslane.apple.com
2. select 'itunes' and then 'itunes store'
3. select a topic and a subject
4. click 'continue' and then 'email'
5. fill out the form and explain your situation
6. they will respond within 24 hours usually
