I need my iMac username and password to add an app on my iPhone but do not remember them. Are they stored on my mac somewhere?

To download apps to your iPhone, that requires your Apple ID and password not your iMac's admin password.

That's because you scanned them as B/W photos and iPhoto 08 doesn't support the grayscale color profile. You can either rescan them as color photos or export them as originals out of iPhoto to a folder on the desktop and applhy this Automator application, Convert to JPG and Embed sRGB Profile, on them and then remimport into iPhoto. You can download it from Toad's Cellar . Be sure to read the warning on the website about not applying it on your only copies.

If you have the original movie files, you'd be much better converting those, otherwise try MPEGstreamclip.

No I don't have another computer. I was thinking initially I would put them on my ipad but since I don't have enough gb maybe I can store them in some cloud thing? More than likely it is on an altenate home screen (swipe to the left to navigate), or in a folder. When you did the spotlight search, did it indicate as folder?

It depends upon what country that you are in (it's not possible to re-download films in all countries), the film studio (some don't allow re-downloading), and whether they remain in the store (studios occasionally remove them from the store) - what you can currently re-download will show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your iPad.
But you are better off first copying them to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take you own backup copy of them before deleting them, rather than relying on being able to redownload them in the future (and the same applies to other downloaded content)

My mac mini and imac are choking on stored content.....

Between movies, videos we shoot, pictures we take and store, music, tv shows, etc., I have less than 10 GB left and my machines seem to be running poorly. Do I have to keep buying larger and larger computers or is there some external or cloud solution to a problem that I would imagine many folks have? TIA for your ideas and assistance. Each has 500GB of capacity.

As far as I am aware and I have lots of movies and videos on my Mac stored on an external FW800 drive, doesn't appear to be any degradation of the data.
Digital data is digital data.
A 720p and 1080p movies will stream a little slower from an external drive but this is still a non-issue if you use FW 800 drives. And the streaming may still not be an issue streaming from a FW 400 style drive.
I stream movies from my Mac from an external drive, do not see any degradation in the quality.
If you,re streaming your movies through a Mac to an iPad then through a HDMI connection to an HDTV using Home sharing feature on Mac via iTunes and WiFi, there maybe quality issues, maybe, related to the streaming of the data, but not the visual quality/resolution being streamed.
And this has more to do with streaming the data and not the resolution quality of said video or movie.
If the videos or movies in question are compressed videos, that's another issue entirely.
Storing music, movies, videos and photos on an external FW HD should present no issues.

Without your username you can't even request a password change, not to mention that without the SyncKey your data can't be decrypted even if you could logon to your Sync account.
