I forgot my iphone passcode, it's disabled now, and I can't restore??

Hey guys, I've had an iphone for about 3 weeks. All of a sudden today I couldn't remember the lock code. Stupid I know! Anyhow I panicked and entered what I thought was the password way too many times. In short, it's now disabled now. I read on how to restore it, and I can almost do it. I click on restore, hit ok and update, and then it says it can't update because of unknown error code (306).
I tried calling apple support line, but they are closed.
My question is this; can I bring it to my service provider's (Bell) store, and have them fix it there? I got my phone from their store, so they know that I bought it (& didn't steal it), and I have my apple ID and all that info. Can they do anything?
FWIW I don't have an apple store anywhere near me, and I still can't remember the passcode : (

Also, it has not been jailbroken (if this helps)

    I have forgot my Iphone passcode. Itunes will not let me restore it, i do not have icloude,or find my iphone,and the closest itunes store is 4 hours away how can i unlock, or reset my phone?

    Try this:
    Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
    Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
       1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
           other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
       2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
           until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
                  * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
                    Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
                    release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
      3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
           device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
           let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
           charge, and then start with step 2 again.
      4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
           When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
      5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
      6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
    If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
    If you have a problem getting into recovery mode then try: RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode.
    Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

    i forgot my iphone4 passcode its not disabled what can i do without lose my data?

    Do as the manual states and restore the phone on the computer to which it most recently synched.  If you never synched to a computer or the computer is not available, you WILL lose data as you'll need to restore your phone as NEW.
    Next time, don't forget your password.

  • Forgot My iPhone Passcode

    Dears,
    I Forgot My iPhone Passcode. What Can I Do?
    unfortunately , I never connected to iTunes once we bought it and did not open icloud also.
    please provide us the best and quick solution because it has all my import info and photo .
    Details :
    Apple : iPhone 4s
    my user on this phone : [email protected] (I have 3 iPhone and 1 iPad on this user )
    I appreciate your quick reply
    Regards,

    Turn your phone off, then force it into recovery mode & restore it:
    Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
    That's the only way to remove the passcode if you can't remember it.

    You may have to do this several times.
    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
    Click All Devices, then select the device that’s in Lost Mode.
    Click Lost Mode, then change the information or click Stop Lost Mode.
