I forgot my ipod passcode and cant sync to itunes
Im also locked out of my ipod. *** SHOILD I DO!!!!!
If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone and use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
You can also wipe the iOS device by installing the FindMyiPhone app on another iOS device and using that app to wipe the device.
or
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs and then restore via iTunes:

I have lost my passcode and cant sync my iphone either
PlEaSe HeLp I have lost my passcode and cant sync my my phone either so i cant access anything to change it.
Hi,
I'm not sure if that would work, but just give it a shot.
Don't only hold the home button and the wake/sleep button down till it resets,
try holding it down for about 30-40 seconds.
This time it should not just reset. You just have to make sure it's long enough. You will see ;-)
But then, you will have to put everything back on it again.
Better than having no access, I guess ;-) -
I had my ipod touch and iphone synced to itunes on my PC and basically managed my photos and music, etc. from there. However recently my computer died and I am considering replacing it with an ipad eventually. Can I still add stuff onto my two devices? And if so, am I limited to apple store purchases only? Can I retain all the photos and non-apple store downloaded music that is presently on these two devices? Any guidance in this area will be very welcome!
Morning @mb,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at this article:
iTunes: Transferring media from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1209
Music imported from a CD or another source
iTunes cannot transfer this media back to a computer. Make sure to back up your iTunes Library, or you can use iTunes Match2.
Best of luck,

Last night i forgot my passcode for my ipod and i dont want to restart my ipod because nothing is saved onto my computer. I was wondering if there were any other ways to get my ipod unlocked?
Nope.
You will have to restore your ipod or put it into recovery mode. Either way you will lose everything that you have failed to store on your computer. -
Can anybody help me enable my ipod its seems to be blocked and it says ipotuuch disabled howcan Ifix that
If it's showing the disabled screen due to too mane incorrect passcode attempts then you will need to connect the iPod to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPod and restore/re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPod into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If you do it via a different computer then :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. -
HT201210 i forgot my passcode and cant connect to itune,, how to recover my passcode
Forgot my passcode on iphone 4, phone is disabled and it says i should connect to itune after try different passcode. I have tried to connect to itune but my phone does not appear to be connected to itune.
How to recover the passcode, since there is no even a screen to enter passcode apart from disabled and emergence calls? If it's a passcode lock and you can't remember the passcode, the only option is to restore the iPhone.
See this Apple doc for more info -> iOS: Device disabled after entering wrong passcode -
Can anyone help with the problem above?
With your phone connected, under the Apps tab, remove the check in the box labeled "Automatically Sync New Apps".

I forgot my iPod passcode and it's snyced to my computer but it is saying I have to put the passcode in before I do anything. I don't know what to do.
You are out of luck. You have to restore and thus erase the iPod.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -

Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
Cheers, Tom -

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
iPad,iPod,iPod Touch Recovery Mode
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
Also, see iTunes- Restoring iOS software. -

i have forgot my phone passsword and cant get on my phone ,what do i do?
From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212
"If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software."
