I forgot my ipod touch 5 passcode, itunes wont let me restore
Okay so heres the problem: i have forgotten my password to my 5th gen. Ipod touch. I have tried restoring it, didn't work because of the find my ipod thing. So i put it in DFU mode and itunes told me that it could take up to 60 hours to update and restore. My mother kinda flipped at the idea, but said okay go with it. Half an hour later the whole thing was interrupted and little box came up and said it timed out. I really need help here please! I'm using my old ipod
Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall.
- Next try the manual install method of:
iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.
- Then try on another computer

Please help me!! I needed to reset my iPod touch because my pass code was changed and I didn't know what it was, but now iTunes wont let me restore it what do I do?
You'll need to connect it to the iTunes library you normally sync it with and restore it. If iTunes asks you for this passcode before it will let you proceed, connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode instead using the instructions in this Apple support document.

My ipod was disabled too many times, and itunes wont let me restore it
my ipod password was changed, and now it was disables to many times itunes wont let me restore it, what do i do?
Without knowing why it will not restore:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Please answer my question, I really need my iPod Touch back.
First try a reset:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.
If that doesn't work, try a restore again. If necessary, place the iPod in Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 -

I just installed my new iPod on the computer and everything is working smoothly except for one thing: On my itunes screen my entire ipod section is locked (theres a lock icon on the screen) and i can't select any songs or make playlists etc etc
I've tried everything and I can't figure out how to unlock it. The ipod is unlocked and it works properly but its the ipod part of my itunes that is locked. Please help.Change your edit > preferences > ipod

I forgot my iPod touch's passcode.
I have tried restoring my iPod, but as soon as it finishes trying (I think it says it's 'updating') it says the network connection has timed out. What should I do?
Cool1682 what does this have to do with the poster's problem: " Alternatively, you can use find my iPhone and remotely wipe it. You can send the command via www.icloud.com"?

I forgot my ipod touch's passcode and it died. After a couple months i pulled it back up and it was locked out for 21 million minutes and i looked it up on the internet and couldnt fix it with anything. I then took it to geek squad and they couldnt even fix it. Dfu mode wont work, cant connect it to itunes, cant restore or recover it. Please help me.
Use Device Firmware Mode...
1. Turn off your ipod To do this, hold the home and sleep buttons for 10 seconds, ignore slide to power off message.
2. Release the power button when you see the apple logo (keep holding the home button)
3. Keep holding until you see a message.
Now restore from a backup!
Alternatively you can wait! -

i don't have access to a computer and so,without physically attaching my iPod touch to PC devices, can you manually restore an apple iPod touch, restrictions passcode online to iTunes and restore it to store purchased factory settings?
Sorry but no. The only way to restore an iPod to factory settings is through iTunes on a computer. You will need to get access to a computer somehow. If you can get to an Apple Store, they can probably help you.
Regards.
