Doesn't sound like what was written, but perhaps the mods thought there was some reference to getting in through SU Mode? The usual password reset from the DVD instructions don't bring this on. (And very rarely even the SU Mode one.)
If not that, then very strange. Maybe a pet cat or hamster ran across someone's keyboard at Apple.

  • In iPhoto, when i try to email a photo using "share", I keep getting"username/password" not recognized. It used to work automatically before.

    I cannot email  a photo using iPhoto "share. I keep getting "username/password not recognized". I used to use this function all the time but all of a sudden, I keep getting this message.

    In iPhoto, open Preferences (under iPhoto in the menu bar) and click the "Accounts" tab on top.  Make sure your email account(s) is/are set up there correctly, just as they are in Apple's Mail.  Make sure the password in included.

    i forgot my backup password of my iPhone. i use windows in my computer

    Sorry, did not pay attention and missed the "backup password" part
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946
    Basically, you can continue to sync and backup, but you will not be able to restore any data from the encrypted backup without the password.  All you can do is restore the device as new and start fresh.

  • Im able to log in with 2 different passwords. I am currently using a xfinity modem and TC 2TB. Please help!!

    Im able to log in with 2 different passwords. I am currently using a xfinity modem and TC 2TB. Please help!!

    I am not sure of the problem..
    Is the TC the main router of the network or is it in bridge??
    Is the Xfinitiy a router.. I thought they generally are.. so have you turned off the wireless?
    Please do clear out all the old names from your phone and mac.. so it is completely empty.. power off the device.. restart and go through the discovery again. Make sure you save the password so you are automatically logged in. But when you leave and come back you still have to select the correct wireless unless you have the order correct.. !!
    The reset the TC to factory and start over.
    Give it new names.. use names that are short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
    For total control use different names for each band.
    Use only WPA2 Personal security with 10-20 character pure alphanumeric password. Can be mixed case and numbers.

  • I cannot log into oracle using the user scott

    I installed oracle, but I did not go through the underlined step. I am not sure if I skipped or it was not there during the installation
    The Database Configuration Assistant will provide installation summary
    and list the accounts that are unlocked. It will ask you for password management. Sys
    and System accounts would be already unlocked.  Unlock HR and Scott accounts,
    and for these two accounts also specify the same password that you had given before.
    When I test logging into Oracle using the user Scott, it shuts down.
    I am using windows 7, and I installed Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1.0)
    Enterprise/Standard Edition for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
    How can I log into oracle using the user Scott?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum,
    After installing Oracle 10g SCOTT user will be in locked, you should unlock it.
    Login as sysdba using the below command
    sqlplus sys as sysdba
    password:<ur password>
    after connecting as sysdba use the below command to unlock the SCOTT user
    ALTER USER SCOTT ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
    Now connect as scott you will bw able to connect.

  • OMBPlus: masking usernames / passwords in log files with ********?

    Hi all,
    Subjects says it: how to hide username and password in OMBPlus logs.
    Any ideas...?
    Br: Ykspisto

    I don't use default OMB+ logging for this reason, plus I often want more robust logging. I also built a wrapper for executing OMB+ statements to simplify my exception handling in my main scripts. By catching both the return string from a statement as well as the exception strings, I keep full control over what gets logged.
    HEre is the meat of my main library file:

Most of the referenced variables are held in a config script that we use to define our current working environment, which I am not attaching as the names are pretty descriptive I think.

  • How to retrieve the username/password of logged user so to use web services

    Hi Experts,
    we are using web services from a web dynpro application, the web services we use are CAF web services; actually we are "hardcoding" username and password so to be able to execute these web services, using this code before calling the web service:
    wdContext.currentRequest_ReporteDeRendicionDetallada_RElement().modelObject().setInvokerProperty(javax.xml.rpc.Stub.USERNAME_PROPERTY,"testuser");
      wdContext.currentRequest_ReporteDeRendicionDetallada_RElement().modelObject().setInvokerProperty(javax.xml.rpc.Stub.PASSWORD_PROPERTY,"testpassword");
    but as this is not a very good practice, we want to replace the "testuser" with the logged user and, of course, retrieve the password and use it instead of "testpassword".
    How can we achieve this? I couldn´t find any tips on this.
    Best regards,
    Marco.

    Hello,
    thanks for your anwsers, although I´ve followed both links I couldn´t find the answer to my problem.
    I need to know how to retreive user and password from the UME of the portal so to be able to execute web services in the java stack, the UME is connected to a LDAP in our corporation.. so may be the passwords are not stored in the UME?
    If it is not possible to retrieve the passwords of the users , which is the best practice to deal with username/passwords to execute CAF webservices from web dynpro java? Hardcoding is not a very good practice..
    Best regards,
    Marco.

    I forgot my emergency password because I entered it the day I got my phone but have been using thumb swipe since. I tried what I thought was the password and a few variations on it and now have 4 attempts to complete it successfully before it resorts to factory settings. I tried calling it with Android Device Tracker but it never rang. I don't have my location on on the phone. Does anyone know how to help me?

    The migration assistant (PC Windows Vista Premium edition to MAC) has created a new user on the MAC. Unfortunately it is impossible to log the system in using that user: no password accepted. I tried to change the user password but the login result still impossible.
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi user,
    Welcome to OTN world.Always share your Jdev version.
    Why are you not storing the login user name into a session variable and store it into your table.

  • How can I let firefox save usernames/passwords for multiple subdomains that use the same username but different passwords?

    on a particular website that has sub domains I have multiple accounts with the same name but different password. Firefox seems only able to save one of them, because they are on the same site.

  • Db link - invalid username/password error

    hi
    i created a connected user public db link, when i try to use it i get error message invalid username/password
    here is my set up:
    tnsnames.ora
    --remote db
    DWHTEST=
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = dwhtest.be)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = bise1db)
    ---local db
    BISE1DBLOCAL =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = mydb.local)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = bise1db)
    i used the following query to create a link:
    logged on in local db as sys as sysdba
    CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK dwhtest
    CONNECT TO CURRENT_USER
    USING 'DWHTEST';
    link gets created;
    the remote db has been cloned, so locally i have the identical db; all users /passwords are the same (was not even changing that, but they got updated with the remote users/passwords)
    i connect to a user in local db, which also exist in remote db:
    when i try to do select from remote db
    select * from all_views@dwhtest
    i receive error message: invalid username/password
    i can create connections to this user both locally and remotely via sql developer using the same username/password, just a different tns name;
    what am i missing that this is not working?
    thanks in advance for any tips
    rgds

    hi
    thank you for your answer;
    what you suggest is fixing the password for the current user; however via this public link i want to connect to 2 different users in a remote db; passwords for these 2 users are different (and i cannot change that, as this is in remote db like that)
    so i dont think i can follow your tip (which password would i be entering)
    as temporary fix i created fixed links for 2 users that i need to connect to in remote db and it works fine;
    however id like to make the global link for a 'current user' work; so that i could use 2 links, not 4 links (in fact i have 2 remote db, qas and prod, and each time 2 users i need to connect to remotely, all from my local dev db);
    thanks
    rgds
