I forgot my wi-fi network password
How do i find my wi-fi network password.
For a wifi router from your Internet provider, it's usually on a sticker on the bottom of the router.
If you yourself purchased and set it up, you'll probably have to reset the router if you don't have a note of it.
If a Mac has previously connected to its wifi, check Keychain Access (in the Utilities folder). Do a search for your network name there. You'll have to unlock the key with your Mac admin password.

It should be in your Keychain. Find it in Keychain Access.

Anyone know where I can find how to lookup my wifi network password in the user guide? I set it up so long ago I forgot it.
I assume that you mean in your WiFi router user manual, because you won't find that information in the iPad manual user guide.
See if this is of some help.

Other people want to join my wireless network that I set up for my Airport Express, I cannot remember the password to join the network for the life of me. Any Ideas on how to recover the password?
The simplest way would be to perform a "soft" reset on the AirPort base station. This type of reset will temporarily disable all of the base station's passwords up to five minutes. This should give you ample time to access the base station with the AirPort Utility to change it.
If you don't want to actually change the password, then you can possibly retrieve the password from the OS X Keychain, as follows:
Run the Keychain Access utility found in \Applications\Utilities
In the category column (on the left side of the utilities' window), select "All Items."
For the Wireless Security password:
In the right column look for your Network Name. It will have a "Kind" of "AirPort network password."
Double-click on your network name listing.
Click on "Show password."
Enter your Mac's administrator's password
Your wireless network's security password should now be displayed.
For the Base Station password:
In the right column look for your base station's name. It will have a "Kind" of "AirPort base station password."
Double-click on your base station name listing.
Click on "Show password."
Enter your Mac's administrator's password.
Your base station password should now be displayed. -
My Time Capsule keeps saying "backup failed" due to the network password not being correct. I have not changed my password and every day I have to type the same one in and then it works. But then the same thing happens the next day. Can anyone help? This only started doing this about 2 weeks ago.

Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1544
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. -
Hi all , I 've installed password for my HP LaserJet 100 colorMFP M175nw for web access. But unfortunately i forgot it and now i can't access to my printer throw web access. Can I reset my forgotten password? Thanks in advance. Best regards.
Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that you are looking for your network password for your HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175n printer. I am happy to look into this issue for you! Please see this guide, Find Your Wireless WEP, WPA, WPA2 Password (Windows). Under the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) it mentions this: If you created your own network login password and cannot remember what it is, refer to the wireless router documentation or manufacturer for instructions on how to reset or change your password. You can change the network password from the router configuration page.
Additionally, some wireless routers provide a 'reset' button that restores all wireless router settings to the default state, including the username and password to access the router configuration page, as well as the network name and password. Hope this is the information you are looking for, and have a great day! “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.” -
How do I reset the e-printer's web embedded server network password?
I have an HP Photosmart 7520 e-all in one. I use Windows 7. I could tried to set a password in the EWS network tab. I could not change the user name so it remains "admin". I set the passwork and it seemed ok. But when I tried to log on again, it would not let me in. How do I reset the network password?
I recommend that you run "Restore Network Defaults" from the front panel and then run the wireless setup wizard again. This will wipe out all your network settings.
SandyBob

Time Capsule - Can't change network password after 10.6.3 update
Has anyone else experience an issue changing the Time Capsule network password after updating to Snow Leopard 10.6.3? If so did you find a work around? After the update I'm no longer able to change the Time Capsule network password when accessing it from Airport Utility. The utility will say that Time Capsule has updated the network password to the new one but when I check keychain it shows the old password. I tried resolving this by deleting the original keychain then changing it again in Airport Utility but it still shows the old password in the keychain and Airport Utility when I reopen the app.
HI,
Checkthe vendor site for Snow Leopard compatibility. The developer may need to update their software.

First, please bare with me. First time on here. Second, though I have many Apple products and I manage my way around them, I am not familiar with computer terms and there is a lot I don't understand. However, if something is explained clearly, step by step, I am capable of comprehending pretty fast. If any of you could find the time and LOTS of patience to help me, I would be very happy. FYI I need things explained as if I was 2.
I want to change my Network Password. The reason I want to change it is because when I launch my AirPort Utility and select my Airport Express; unfamiliar devices are present under Wireless Clients, besides my 7 Apples. My internet slowed down, things started freezing in the past few months. (been using Apple since 2009, always keep up with maintenance/upgrades, I only use my Apples for browsing, and mostly uploading pictures, my TimeCapsule does her little backup as she should... this is the first time any of my Apples have slowed down/frozen). Talked to provider, everything is good on their end. I don't download big files, the heaviest thing that I do is stream movies through AppleTV. Always worked. No problems. But in the past few months, all it ever seems to do is "Connecting to iTunes" or "Loading" or "Ready to play in 72 hours and 35 minutes". I read most of the questions/answers already on here, however, my computer (iMac, Mavericks) does NOT behave according to the examples posted. So as much as I would like to follow those suggestions, I am not able to.
...so, I select my AirPort Express, and the box that pops up give me the following info: network, IP address, LAN IP address, serial number, version and wireless clients (no idea what some of these mean and honestly if I don't need to know I don't care). Now, at this point the only option I am given is to click on "Edit".
When I do, I get a different info box. At the very top I have these: Base Station, Internet, Wireless, Network, AirPlay. Each of these contain tons of information which I don't understand. ...I just want to change my Network Password. Do I have the option to do JUST that? Without changing the AirPort Express ...something ...base um, password... I don't kn...
Please help. Thanks. Now, at this point the only option I am given is to click on "Edit".

Click the Wireless tab at the top of the window
Edit out / backspace out the current password (which is displayed as dots)
Type in a new password of at least 8 characters that you want to use
Do the same thing to Verify the password
Click Update in the lower right corner of the window and wait a full minute for the AirPort Express to restart
When you log on to your wireless network, you will be asked for the "new" password that you typed in. It might be a good idea to write down that password and place it in a safe place in case you do not remember it in a few months. -
I have a network of 10 computers configured as peer-to-peer work group. I have upgraded one of the ten from Windows XP PRO to Windows 7 PRO. The other nine computers are all running XP PRO. AS near as I can tell they are all configured the same. I have the
same user and same passwords on all computers. One of XP computers is used as a print server. The Windows 7 computer initially was able to access shared files and printers on all XP machines with out requesting a network password.
Suddenly, the Win 7 computer began requesting a network password to access the shared files and printers on the XP print server. It will not accept any of the user names or passwords (all administrators on both machines with identical names and passwords.)
The Win 7 computer has no problem accessing the shared files on the other XP machines. It can even access shared printers in a different work group. Apparently something has changed but I'm at my wits end trying to figure what changed on either the Windows
7 machine or the print server XP machine.
I would appreciate any help. Thank youHi,
Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following:
1.
Disable simple file sharing on the Windows XP computer:
How to disable simple file sharing and how to set
permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP
2.
On the Windows 7 computer, go to “Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings” and ensure that the
following items are turned ON:
Network Discovery
File and printer sharing
And this one is OFF:
Password protected sharing
3.
Temporarily disable or remove all the security software (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.) on the computers and check if it works.
In addition,
I would like to share the following with you for your reference:
Troubleshoot file and printer
sharing
Hope this helps. Thanks.

My issue is that I'm trying to connect a PC to my wireless network run off of a Time capsule/airport router. My macbook pro connects fine but the network password is hidden and set to autoconnect. I thought I wrote the password down but when I try to connect the PC laptop and type in the timecapsule network PW is doesn't work. Trying to verify if the passwird I wrote down is correct but there doesn't seem to be a way to recover this.
Does anyone out there in the community know how to do this? (or do I just have to do a reset on the time capsuleReset the TC.

I forgot my icloud id and password. i want to delete the id. i forgot the password. if i try to delete the account its asking for password. i cannot find how to delete the account. Please anyone can help me out???
You aren't going to be able to delete it without the correct password. If it's your ID, you can reset the password as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625. If it isn't your ID, you will have to get the password for the person who owns the ID. There's no way around this and no one else can help.
