I tried to sync my Macbook Pro photos in iPhoto with my iPod Touch. I have done this numerous times, but today I got an error message saying the required file cannot be found. At the same time all of my photos on my iPod vanished. Can anyone help me?
Try deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-try the photo sync - the location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314

when i try to reset my ipod it stops at 10minutes and the ipod turns itself on and acts like ive done nothing to it, it has been stuck on the "connect to itunes screen" and it wont reset. why?
After you place the iPod in recovery mode using
iOS: Unable to update or restore
You have to then connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. Are you doing that? -
I have new iPod Nano. I want to set it up w/ the same name as my old one. I heard you can only hve 5 devices, so since I'll never use the original one again, how do I get iTunes to know that it is no longer?
You do not need to do anyhting.
You can sync as many devices as you like. -
Is it possible that my ipod touch gen 5 has no camera on the back?
There is nothing but a black strip where the camera usually should be.
The 16 GB one does not have a strap or back camera

Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem -
I have an IPOD Classic 30GB. It would not stay on but a few seconds so I thought the battery was not recharging and bought a new battery. I charged the new battery overnight and when I turned it on I could see the apple for only a few seconds and it would go off. I tried the trouble shooting suggestions and reset the device. The screen is frozen with the message "Please Wait. Very low battery." I also thought it might be a problem with the display but since it is on now, I'm not sure what is going on with it.
There are several types of iPods that are "30GB," 3rd gen ("dock connector"), 4th gen ("click wheel" or "photo"), and 5th gen ("video"). This documents shows the iPod models

Which one is your iPod? Do you use a Mac or Windows PC? Do you have a power adapter? -
my niece has locked herself out of her ipod touch. when i plug it into the computer with the usb cable, a message on itunes says i have to enter her passcode. her ipod will not allow me to do so. what next??
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
My iTunes says my iPod touch 3rd Gen is up to date with iOs 4.2.1, how do I get the new iOs 5?
You must update your iTunes software to 10.5 first then you can upgrade to iOS 5.
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
According to Apple the iPod touch 3rd gen can update to iOS 5.
"iCloud requires iOS 5 on iPhone 3GS or later, iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation), iPad, or iPad 2; a Mac computer with OS X Lion; or a PC with Windows Vista or Windows 7 (Outlook 2007 or 2010 or an up-to-date browser is required for accessing email, contacts, and calendars). Some features require a Wi-Fi connection. Some features are not available in all countries. Access to some services is limited to 10 devices."

I cannot get my ipod to sinc with Itunes. All I am getting is a "do not disconnect" message on the ipod.
Hello, PWSample.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would suggest a reset to see if you are able to dismiss this message and process a sync. Here is the article on how to process a reset.

I found an iPod shuffle and want to return it to the owner
Is there anyway to determine the owner of an iPod Shuffle (first generation)? I found one on the street and would like to return it, but there is no identifying information that I can see.
If I plug it into my computer, will that give me a clue?
By the way, the S/N is <edited by host>.No, don't do that! If it's set to automatically sync, then it will sync with your iTunes library and the original owner will lose all their tracks.
Your best bet is to call Apple, explain that you found it, quote the serial number and they may - but only may as they do have duty to their customers to keep their details confidential - give you contact details for the original owner.
It's a shame that the 1st generation Shuffles couldn't be engraved - a friend of mine bought her 8-year-old a nano for his last birthday and she had it engraved with 'if found, call' and their phone number. He's lost it twice now and it's been returned both times. Also acts as a bit of a deterrent should it be stolen - if the police recover it, they'll return it and if the thief tries to sell it, then the buyer might call the number on the back and he'd get it back that way (I'm a great believer in the honesty of 90% of society - it's never let me down.)

I have an ipod touch and an ipod nano. I also used to have a laptop but, it quit working and I no longer have it. I had all of my music on my laptop. So, I had to buy a new desktop. I lost my ipod touch at around the same time. I had all of my music on the ipod touch that was from my laptop. So in thye meantime I started using my nano more. I bought new songs on my desktop for my nano. Then I found my ipod touch. I would like to be able to keep both the somgs I have now on my ipod touch and the ones that I already bought on the desktop. What do I do?
No.
All iTunes content on your iPod Touch should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and your iTunes library on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only.
When music was purchased on a CD, if the CD was lost and you returned to the store where the CD was purchased with your receipt, were you given a replacement CD?
The same applies here. -
Found an Ipod mini, my computer is not recognizing it.. help please!
Hello everyone
I had a 2004 20G Ipod, but it has since died. Lucky me, I found an Ipod Mini in the street! I connected the new Ipod to my computer and when I open Itunes, Itunes is not responding as having an Ipod plugged in. How can I get Itunes to recognize this new Ipod?
Please help! Thank you!!Call Apple (1-800-myapple) and give them the serial number.
They can notify the last registered owner and pass on your contact info to them so it can be returned.
Thanks for being a good person!
