I found someone's Ipad in a taxi today. How do I get it back to its rightful owner?

You're right. It's normal privacy laws. They can't give some 'random' person someone else's contact info. I"m not even sure if they'd give it to the police without some sort of supoena or court order or official document. The most apple MAY do is send the registered owner an e-mail....maybe, eventually after they talk to their supervisor and their supervisor (unless they happen to have an existing protocol)
If you can't get into the contacts you can run a 'i found' ad and have the owner identify its characteristics, home screen, etc. HOnestly, hand it over to the cab company and it's gone. It'll go to a pawn shop or such. Not all taxi companies are disreputable, far from it, but I also know that many 'left in cab' items never make it to the company's lost and found.

okay, i know several people have posted question after question about this problem and no one has yet to answer it fully. i have collected album artwork to the songs on my iTunes, checked that stupid show album artwork under "get info", and now i don't know what to do. i need to know how to send my collection of album art that i found on various internet sites from iTunes to my iPod. the purchased music has pictures therefore i know that the pictures have the ability to show up, i'm just lacking the one or two steps to be able to transfer my album art to the ipod so they will show up when the songs are played. someone please answer this because i'm not the only one. trust me, i've read all the topics on this and i still haven't found someone to tell me how to do it.

okay i've been doing some trial and error with the advice that you gave me and i finally got it down. i ended up unchecking the album artwork box and then deleting every song off the iPod. then i checked the box, loaded all the songs back on the iPod and it worked. THERE IS A SOLUTION MY FRIENDS! PROBLEM SOLVED

The only other thing you can do is to take the iPod to a place with unsecured wi-fi (like a starbucks) or temporarily turn off the security on your own wi-fi router (be sure that all your wi-fi devices are turned off when do this). On the off chance that the owner has activiated the iCloud Find My iPod service s/he could send you a message on how to contact him. Most people forget to set this up, so a contact is unlikely; but it is possible.

If you can tell who the carrier is, turn it in to them. They should be able to get it returned to them. If you can't, you can try and take the SIM out and see who the carrier is that way.
If all else fails, turn it in to the local police.

Wow! Purchasing a new computer and monitor should be a fun and exciting experience, and instead, it sounds like it’s turned into a complete nightmare. I can only imagine your disappointment when you found two charges relating to its purchase on your debit card account, and I’m sorry for any aggravation this caused.

Hi - I found this info on the Adobe site (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/332/332720.html):
How do I print the font in a bigger size?
The Print dialog box does not provide an option to change only the font size. You can do any of the following to enlarge the font:
Scale the entire PDF out to the page margins. See "Manually scale using percentages" in the article Print: scale or resize pages.
Print a selected portion of the PDF and scale it using Fit to Printable Area. See Print a portion of the page.
(Acrobat only) To change the font size for a specific page or the entire document, use the Edit Document Text tool (Acrobat X) or TouchUp Text tool (Acrobat 9). To learn more, for Acrobat X see Edit text; for Acrobat 9 see Edit text.
If none of these options work, it doesn't look like you'll be able to change the font size.

I don't mean to bump this after over a month, but I just found it with a search. I agree... playlist creation seems like it would be such a simple thing... and they make it so hard.
Would added playlist function be able to be upgraded through firmware?
It seems like along with the "Add to selected", there could be an "Add to playlist" thing you could click, then it would ask which plalist you would like to add it to. That way, even from the 'Now Playling' listing, you could add a song that's playing right now to any one of your playlists. Or you wouldn't have to interrupt what's playing to add a track in the library.
The Zen software is pretty terrible too... you can't even easily arrange your playlist. You have to drag the tracks. I can't just click something like "Arrange playlist by artist" or anything. It's crazy.
I love that you can do playlists... a lot of players don't even have this feature. But it seems like they could easily make it more... well... easy for us.
For a software solution, I've found the Zen Winamp plugin to be by far the best thing for making playlists. It's great!

Welcome to the Boards, Ernest, and kudos to you for trying to do The Right Thing (-:
Apple would only have the iPod owner's details on record if the owner had purchased it directly from or registered it with Apple. Due to privacy concerns/legislation, Apple will not give out such details to "regular" people. They will, however, provide such information to the police if officially requested to do so.
So your best bet is to make note of where and when you found it, the model & serial number etc. and hand it in to the law enforcement agency nearest to the scene. Suggest that they contact Apple to request the owner's contact details, if available.
Also, be sure to enquire about making a claim of ownership of the found iPod- if the original owner can't be located, in many jurisdictions the "finder" can legitimately become a "keeper" after a found object has done time in the lost property bin for the required period.
