I get a "Couldn't read application.ini" message when trying to get on Firefox. What can I do?
I am not able to use Firefox as my browser because of this message. Some of my files were deleted to make room. Is there any way to recover this?
Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.<br />
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

You may need to check the settings for your iTunes Store on the iPad and iPhone.
Sign out of the iTunes account, restart the device and sign back in.

Error Message when trying to get CD info
When i put the CD in to import songs the titles are not listed (it reflects track 1, track 2 etc..). When I go to the meunu and click get info..I get a message stating error check connection (something like that).

Read only error message when trying to save updates in Acrobat 10.6.3

Hopefully I'm missing something obvious here but when I try to edit a PDF in Acrobat 10.6.3 I receive a read only error message, I have been using 'Save As' and tweaking the name each time but this seems to be a clumsy way to go about a simple save.
I am on a network and have read a previous thread that explained Adobe can sometimes be flakey on networks for saving PDFs.
Any suggestion gratefully received.You may be stuck with copying the files locally and editing and then copying back to the network drive. I am not good with networks, but have noticed posts about network problems over the years -- often focused on specific networks. The solution is typically to deal with the PDFs locally and then copy to the network. In creating PDFs, it seems that some of the results had to do with the TMP folder usage, but I have no clue why.
As far as AA 10.6.3, you must have a cloud version or something. The latest AA is 10.1.7. -
Tried to uninstall version 3.6.1.3, wouldn't complete uninstallation. Installed Beta 4, now it won't work. I have had multiple issues trying to start it (XULRunner issue) and I am not a computer geek. Don't know how to really uninstall and re-install, except the little button on the computer.. It has been kinda crashing/ slow/ Unable to find Server for about a week now. All of this fun stuff with Firefox began today.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox. -
An attempt to change the "Properties" options prior to printing on my Lexmark X5150 causes the message. Same does not occur if I do the same under Internet Explorer.
I have tried creating the profile again and still get the same problem. The problem is machine based and not user based.

If you recreated the Outlook profile and still got the same problem, please try to recreate the Windows Profile:
Log on to client using local admin account->rename the profile folder under c:\users.
By the way, did you try to print the mails in OWA?

700p suddenly gives invalid user/password message when trying to get new mail
My Yahoo Mail Plus account is working fine. When I use versamail on the Palm Treo 700p to retrieve emails from my active Yahoo account, I get "-ERR(Auth)invalid user/password" message. I can access my Yahoo Mail account from the "Web" app on my treo.
So it is definitely a VersaMail issue. This happened after it had been getting new mail (and sending) successfully.
Can anyone help?
Post relates to: Treo 700p (Verizon)unfortunately Yahoo and their Branded contracts just don't work as advertised and neither the ISPs Nor Yahoo appear in the slightest bit interested.
If you delete the popstate.dat file in the profile folder in the yahoo server directory, it will restart the download again from the top (Everything)
You might also find that disabling email scanning in your anti virus program may be beneficial. (Could it be McAfee?)

ITomic e-reader gives error message when trying to register DRM
iTomic e-reader model IEBR7C AH Version:GH321 Adobe Reader Version: 9.1.28890 2010. when sending my Adobe ID via WiFi at Starbucks in order to "Register DRM," I get a certificate syntax error, what does this mean, how can I fix this so we can at least read the pre-installed e-books? There are a couple of things you talk about here. One is the Adobe
software and one is the ereader.
For the software, don't confuse Adobe Reader with Adobe Digital Editions.
They're very separate products, and Reader does not work with ebooks in
Digital Editions format. So, are you talking about Reader or Digital
Editions? Your ereader and its instructions should tell you which one.
Also, when you talk about 'registering DRM', that's not what happens.
'DRM' stands for Digital Rights Management, and it's not software. It's
the way that a publisher, distributor or library restrict the use of an
ebook - and you don't register for it because it's a set of attributes
built into ebooks themselves, not Reader or Digital Editions.
Next, the ereader that you mention is not supported by Digital Editions, so
even if you get it registered, it's very likely that you won't be able to
interact with Digital Editions. THIS

take you to the Adobe Digital Editions webpage that lists those ereaders
and other devices that are supported. Many off-brand manufacturers promise
that their ereader will work with Adobe software, but in the real world,
they don't.
Getting to the preloaded ebooks on your ereader should not involve
registering with Adobe, but it probably does involve registering with the
manufacturer's website. You may be able to do that from the ereader
wirelessly, but you'll have to go to THEIR website, not to Adobe's. Check
the 'user's guide' that came with your ereader for directions.

For the last two evening, my email has not been coming through with Comcast email. I get error messages like unable to verify user name and password or connection to the server has timed out. I have done a soft reset, deleted the email account and reinstalled but nothing works.
I had this same problem happen to me about 3 weeks ago or so. I'm with Rogers in Canada (iPhone 4).
Out of nowhere I started having errors with both of my email accounts on my phone (Hotmail, Gmail) which I had been using without problem since I got the phone in October 2010. I tried re-entering settings, removing and setting them up from scratch again, all to no avail. First it was Hotmail but Gmail shortly followed. I could, however, check both of these emails via a browser on a computer, so I knew those services weren't both down.
It also happened on two different wi-fi networks and with 3G.
Then as sure as it started, it ended. It was after about 6-10 days that all my email returned to normal.
If you've only had it happen for a few days now, I'd give it maybe another week and see if it goes away. I know this isn't a fix, and I was never able to find an explanation for the problem. -
Error message when trying to get iOS 4
When I click the "Update" button in iTunes, in the Summary tab when my iPhone is plugged in, I get an error message that says "This version of iTunes (9.2.1) is the current version." (I have Mac OS 10.4.11, so that's the most current version of iTunes I can support.) But I'm not trying to update iTunes, I'm trying to update iOS. iTunes seems to have its wires crossed? I've never had this problem until recently.

Why do I get "Secure Link to iTunes store Failed" message when trying to access iTunes store?
Why do I get the message "Secure Link to iTunes store failed" when I do diagnostics checks on the iTunes version 10.6 that I just installed? I have reinstalled it three times and have never been able to access the itunes store, or any Help sites thru the itunes app. I have disabled my firewall, etc. to no avail. Any ideas? Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:
