OS X 10.7.x is the minimum version for the newest PS and LR versions. If you want more specific answers you might tell us what versions of OS and PS/LR you’re working with.

Lion does not support PowerPC coded applications. It sounds like the version you have are too old and were coded for PowerPC. Upgrade them.

I have dell xps it runs at 3840 x 2167 and bridge lightroom and photoshop are unusable as the type is so small if win is re scaled to a low res the products still use full res and you canot see text can you help!

I am about to buy the above products for home and a laptop I bought the high res laptop for editing photos and the photos look great on the display but I cannot use photo shop and lightroom
has any body had this problem and is there a simple fix that I have missed
taking the res down in the control panel reduces the res but does not effect the programme
by the way the dell xps is great

Thanks for the info I know that there were problems with the high res
I am using the latest photoshop and bridge from the cloud but only using the trial copy at the
moment
I will look closer and try to scale it to a suitable level

There is that pitfall in buying HiDpi laptops for Windows.
Only Photoshop CC 2014 has the option to scale the UI 200% in order to make it usable on these hires screens.
CC and earlier does not have this and Adobe would have to retrofit them. Not likely with older products.

I having the below written error, when i want to export or import my database. I having Standalone system using windows xp.
Role Error - Export and Import are not supported on 10g databases for users logged in with the SYSDBA role. Logout and login using a different role before trying again.

Support for Nikon D810 is available from Lightroom 5.6. So, updating your Lightroom(Help Menu > Check for Updates) to the latest version 5.7.1 should do the trick.

I am trying to ask the following question: Just updated my iPhone5 to V 7.1.2 and can no longer print to my MFC 7860W from this phone. I researched this issue on this forum and found answers from last October/November..... Wary of downloading anything that was posted that long ago. Wondering if there is anyway around this issue, with more recent information? I was able to use this printer in the past by using Brother's iPrint App.

Updated to iOS 5 and now photos sent with text message show as sent, but are not received to an iPhone that has not been updated.

Updated to iOS 5 and tried sending a message with a phot to an iPhone that has not been updated. My message shows as sent, but neither the text or photo are received. Text alone works fine.

This is being caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage. To fix this you have two choices:
On all but one of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. Note: you can still share the same ID for purchasing in Settings>iTunes & App Stores; or
On all of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at".

TS2755 i receive an error message telling me my music dock and computer are not supported by iphone

I have had my Iphone 4 since May 2011. It got wet. It receives phone calls and messages, email plays music on the phone. But if I try and connect it to my music dock or computer I receive an error messagetelling me Iphone does not support this device. I have never had issues with this before. My husbands I phone works fine on the music dock and my computer.

There is a good chance this issue is related to water damage, but it could be a whole other issue entirely.
If it were me, I would try backing up and then restoring the phone.
Follow the steps in this article to BACK UP and RESTORE either through iTunes or iCloud.

If that doesn't work, you can use the CONTACT APPLE support tool (https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.do;jsessionid=NH2hP4VHSp7Dxggz 0TL4QGL09FPBQ5Hkxl59rLypshXhcNPs4nvp!-2009127310) which is online and easy to follow. I recommend this because it will allow you to enter the serial # from your device and should steer you in the right direction, especially if the phone is from Singapore. There might be some differences in software that I am not personally aware of.
You can get your serial # by going into SETTINGS-->GENERAL-->ABOUT on your iPhone.

How to insure that contacts and calendar are NOT synced with ICloud?

I do not understand, why it is not possible anymore to sync your contacts and calendar data between your mac book and your mobile devices using USB cable.
I also heard that with Maverick and Itunes 11.1.2 you can not sync anything using USB anymore, is that true?
Why is it not possible to let the customer decide how to sync their data? Why not leaving both options?
In case it is true that with Maverick and Itunes 11.1.2 you are not able to sync using USB anymore, does anybody know a good app to sync your photos and address data between your computer and mobile devices?
How can I insure that my contacts and calendar data are NOT automatically synced with ICloud?
Yesterday I synced some Photos from my macbook to my IPad and wondered why I had the photos twice. I realized that my IPad had ICloud enabled, after disabling ICloud one picture folder (Photostream) was gone. What do do to avoid that my MacBook is sending Photos to ICloud?
However, when I opened ICloud today, I did not find photos, but I found some address data from my MacBook in the Cloud.
I do not want to have my contacts and calendar data anywhere else on a server.
Any help would be appreciated.

Connect your phone to your computer using the USB power cable that you charge your phone with.
Launch iTunes, it will go thru the normal sync back up progress bar thing at the top, let it finish.
Then
double click on the phone in the left side bar then click INFO at the top of that pane, it will allow you select what you want to sync (contacts,calendar,etc) make your selections and click apply, then click sync. There buttons along the top for different functions (Movies, Apps, etc) just make sure that you do not have anything checked (like your whole music library) that will not fit on the phone.

There are tons of types of rap. rap1 rap2 rap3 rap4 rap5. It is unacceptable to disallow me from making a superset playlist "Rap all" that includes rap1 rap2 rap3 rap4 rap5.
I have to say, apple's reputation (built on reliability and comprehensive understanding of products/options/uses) is beginning to dishearten it's users and muddy the brand that has been built with hard work and dedication.
This simple programming lapse needs to be fixed immediately.

I'm in the same boat. I typically sync one playlist to my iPhone, plus a smart playlist that contains 4 GB of random music that's not already in any pre-synced playlists.
Needless to say this doesn't work anymore. Why? Because of the aforementioned "Smart Playlists referencing other playlists" problem, PLUS the fact that Smart Playlists in iTunes Match don't observe any sort of size limitation at all when viewed on an iOS device.
That means that the same smart playlist on my PC has 500 songs @ 4GB, while on my iPhone or iPad the list contains 5,000 songs!
This is seriously a "what the **** have you guys been testing for the past 10 months?!" kind of rollout.

Oh, dear.
If you use PSE as your external editor for iphoto, you need to save the images back to iphoto by using Save, not Save As and not changing anything like the name or format that would bring up the Save As window. (You may need to adjust the editor prefs>saving files>on first save to save over existing.)
OR you can export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, use file>open in the editor and then change whatever you want and either import the saved image to the organizer or import it back to iphoto as a new file. What you are doing is extremely risky, particularly to the iphoto library which you may easily damage by your workflow.
I would start the organizer holding down the shift key, then create a new catalog and switch to the new one. Then try opening the editor without opening an image and see if you get any farther.
PSE and iphoto are not designed to be used as you've been doing. You are trying to write to the iphoto library from outside iphoto, which is the fastest known way to corrupt the library and lose all your photos.

Why am I seeing very dark images in Lightroom and Photoshop?

I've just installed a new monitor - pretty much the same as the old one. CC was working fine on the old monitor but on the new one files opened in both Lightroom and Photoshop are very dark. I also see, briefly, a yellow triangle in the image when it opens. Are there setttings I need to change?

Are you using any sort of screen calibration? If you are, did you disable it before attaching the new monitor?
What operating system are you using?
