I have had problems with picture quality on tv. I think it is my very old dvd/vid player, so bought a Sony dvd/Blu-ray player. I continually get a failed connection msg when trying to set it up and connect to the tv. Have dbl checked all cables etc, and all has been done according to manual.?? Any thoughts appreciated!

Follow the steps below to resolve this error message:
Make sure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the Sony product and the router or modem.
If the Sony product still does not detect the router or modem, try connecting the Ethernet cable to a different LAN jack (if available) on the router or modem .
If still no connection is detected, try replacing the Ethernet cable.
NOTE: The Ethernet cable can be tested by unplugging it from the Sony product and connecting it to the LAN jack on a computer. Adobe Media Encoder was the problem for me. There's no separate uninstaller for AME. My ID CC and Premiere couldn't be updated (for the AME7.2.2 update as the only change). MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework seemed to be the factor.
I uninstalled Premiere (only), after having manually removed MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework from inside AME. After boot I installed it again and voilà, both (ID & Premiere) updates went trough fine. The MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework was on place inside AME too.

I'd recommend that you not use the JDBC-ODBC bridge driver to connect to SQL Server. M$ and jTDS are two free type IV JDBC drivers that you should use instead. Put those JARs in the WEB-INF/lib directory.
The database URL you're using is not correct if you change drivers. Consult the docs to find out what the proper syntax is.

No you cannot.
You can only make a backup dvd of your movies, fo use in itunes on yur computer. You cannot burn a video product to dvd to watch on a dvd player, just as you cannot copy a dvd that you purchase.

Getting OERR: ORA 12705 error when trying to connect.

I have tomcat running on red hat and I'm trying to connect to a remote server running Oracle 10g using a thin driver. But I keep getting this error when I try to connect. I've tried setting NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8, NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.US7ASCII, and NLS_LANG=.
I'm not doing any ALTER SESSIONS. I wrote a test app and all it does is connect and does 1 simple select query.

Unset it on the client and try again.

Why do I get VISA code error -1073807202 when trying to connect PXI-2565?

I got error code -1703807202 (a code library required by VISA could not be found) every time when I first started up the computer and used "Initialize with topology" to connect my channels. This error would go away if I start MAX and open up devices and interfaces, then re-run the same task. How do I get rid of the error? Thanks.

You are correct about NI-VISA having requirements for LabVIEW. The latest version of NI-VISA won't work properly with LabVIEW 7.0. You can see the supported versions in the readme of the driver. For example, NI-VISA 4.4.1 is compatible with the following versions of LabVIEW: 8.6/8.5/8.2/7.1.1.

It sure seems like it should work...and then I saw that you're using a router. It could very well be that the router is the weak link here.
Instead connecting to your network router, try using a direct USB connection from your MBP. If that doesn't work, you read this post, which may be relevant to your problem:

I'm getting an Internal Muxer Error when trying to build a DVD project with still menu images

It originally happened with moving menu content and a help search said it was due to the loop point on a menu being after the end point of the asset but this was not the case.
I've now changed all the menu content to static images and the error is still occurring.

If you want a still image for your DVD menu, click on the Menu in the Outline, then look at the Inspector. Is the Duration set to 0? If not then change it to zero. Also look below that to "At End" and make sure that is set to Still.
Also make sure the image that you imported was a RGB image in either JPEG, TIFF, PNG, or PICT format (PNG would be your best choice), and that the image is SD resolution (i.e., 720x480 for NTSC).

Have been using FaceTime for long time with same person, for the last two weeks when trying to connect, we get connection failed message, something change in settings that we should look at?

Now getting FaceTime failed message when trying to connect with a person that were connecting successfully with up unto two weeks ago, has something changed?

Take a look around you here in this forum. Many people are talking about having problems using FaceTime. A few users claim to have contacted Apple and Apple says that they are aware of an issue with FaceTime and that they are working on it.
Some users claim that upgrading to iOS 7 solved there problem with FaceTime. Take a look around the forum and read some of the other discussions.

I am getting error code 0x8002006E when trying to burn a DVD

Hi, I am running the latest Lion update, on my MB Pro, and keep getting the error code 0x8002006E when trying to burn a DVD. Could this be a dirty lens issue in the drive. I see that many others have had the same problem, but relly cant seem to find anyone that has a solution that works.. Help

It's an error thrown by Mac OS X's DiscRecording framework (as opposed to an error communicated by the drive's firmware). The message is (as you probably saw)
"The burn failed because of a medium write error."
Could this be a dirty lens issue in the drive.
I don't think there's one single cause for this error. It might be a dirty lens. It might be something else. Not all recordable optical discs work well with all burners. Try a different brand.

RMI Error when trying to connect to remote server

We are getting an RMI error (below) when trying to connect to a remote weblogic 9 server with mission control.
We are running a portal application on the app server. If we connect using mission control before the app starts then mission control connects successfully.
If we wait until the portal application is running then we get the following error when we try to connect:

As poorem suggested, I would check that the time is the same on both the identity and vcac appliances. It has been a while since I posted this question but I believe that did get me past that specfic error. I changed the timezone on each and made sure the times were correct and the same.
