If you're pushing Option at the exact moment you're clicking the Dock icon, it's supposed to do that. Wait until just after clicking it.

I've started getting pop-under ads every time I launch Firefox, and the uninstall instructions don't make sense, how can I stop these?

In the past couple of weeks, every time I launch Firefox, a full-size pop-under ad is also launched, regardless of what site I'm browsing.
The original ad was for a You Tube survey, and contains a link to coupondropdown.com, where there's a menu option for uninstalling. The uninstall instructions don't make sense, they don't mention what ad-on is controlling the ads, and I can't work out what's responsible for the ads from my very basic range of ad-ons.
The reason I'm writing is that the ads have progressed from annoying but harmless, to dangerous. The ad today was designed as a warning pop-up, text reads, "Threat Detected: Immediate Action Required. Fatal Registry Error ... click "Repair All" to eliminate all possible threats and clean your PC". I have screenshots of all the above.
I'm worried that another user, my son or mother, might take this warning seriously and install malware by accident. What can I do to prevent these ads? I expect this type of malware advertising on dodgy websites, but I'm getting them when I try to access hotmail, the news, etc, so it's not the website that's causing them.

Found the source using Microsoft Safety Scanner on a full scan. The culprit was a Trojan:Win32/Sirefef!cfg

Get Sign In dialogue every time I launch itunes!

Suddenly I'm getting a dialogue box to sign in every time I launch iTunes. It's very annoying. Does anyone konw why or how to dimiss it. I tired looking in the iTunes preferences and my iTunes account but I can't find any way to make it remember me.

And a never ending wheel spin - program frozen. Relaunching, rebooting and repairing the database have not helped. All software is current. I have a 2010 iMac. All help greaty appreciated! Be more than happy to just delete the MobileMe albums.

(Force) Quit iPhoto, then relaunch.
When you see the "Mobile Me" panel, press the "learn more" button, not the "o.k." button.
In iPhoto open the Preferences, "Accounts" tab, and delete the Mobile Me Account.
Then go to the System Preferences - Mobile Me Tab- and sign out of Mobile Me or press the "Visit me-com" button to go to your galleries and delete or download the albums.

Every time I launch iPhoto 11 i have to enable Photo Stream. It won't stay on.

After activating iCloud, and setting all my preferences appropriately, iPhoto was actively downloading my Photo Stream into my library.
But the last few days it stopped. I finally discovered that in my iPhoto preferences the option to enable Photo Stream was no longer clicked. If I click it, it starts pulling from the cloud. If I quit iPhoto, and relaunch it is still enabled and will begin again to pull from the cloud.
But if I restart my computer or log off, when I launch iPhoto I need to enable Photo Stream again.
I am on Lion. All software is up-to-date. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a solution?

See if the following will let you to keep Photostream on: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Quit iPhoto and to to the iPhoto library (by default in your pictures folder) - right click (control click) on it and select show package contents - find the folder named import (on importing) and drag it to the desktop - DO NOT MAKE ANY OTHER CHANGES - launch iPhoto and you will be fine.
Open the import(ing) folder and if there is nothing in it that you need move it to the trash and empty the trash

The article says that I should upgrade to the latest iTunes. I am on the latest iTunes version.
If you could read just a tiny little bit further, under the "Additional Information" section immediately after that, it says:
If you are still experiencing this issue when syncing, or have not installed Xcode 4 and get this alert:
Follow the troubleshooting steps in Mac OS X v10.5, v10.6: Resetting the SyncServices folder.
If the issue is still unresolved, follow steps in Sync Services: Advanced troubleshooting for contact and calendar syncing.
Have you tried those measures?

I have read plenty of the posts on the subject and it seems that deleting the "3ivx" fixed the problem. I looked at the detaied reports and see where it says "
Library/Application Support/3ivx" etc..
On my report it says "/Library/Application Support/iLifeMediaBrowser/*/iLMBiPhoto8Plugin". Does this help with an answer?

I am also having this crashing problem. I am running lion on a 2010 mac mini. My iPhoto library is kept on an external drive. I just upgraded to iPhoto 11 and everytime I try to enable photo stream the app crashes. I have tried all the above suggestions, including re-installing iphoto from the Mac App store. How to get wage type for every time record

I am using DS 0CA_TS_IS_1, it includes report time type (0REPTT), but not have wage type. in CATSDB, I fied fields for attendance/absence type and wage type. but not every time record has wage type. can you please tell me how to get wage type for every time record? what is relation between reporting time type, attendance/absence type and wage typs?

Can you talk to your HR/T&E functional consultant if they populate these values in CATSDB table using standard way or if there are custom fields that are in CATSDB OR any other table which can be used to meed the requirements

Click on the More Info button and ignore the web page, go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete the MobileMe account. Next to go the System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of MMe. That will stop those messages.

Why do i keep getting "Message Send Failure" every time I send pictures on iMessage? All are sent to other iPhone/iPad users.

For a few months now, I've been getting "Message Send Failure" every time I send pictures to other Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, Macs), despite the recipient receiving them. So, even though the pictures are going through, the "Message Send Failure" notice keeps showing up. I checked with other people who have Apple devices and they also encountered the same issue whenever they send pictures (usually send an email to make sure it was received). I thought when iOS 7.1.1 came out that it would fix this issue. Has anyone else encountered the same issue? Thanks!

I started getting the error on my iPhone 5 (iOS 7.1.x) several weeks ago - if not a month ago. Today I finally decided to run through a wholesale sign-out/sign-in process on all my devices (iMac, MacBook, iPad 1, iPad 3 and iPhone5) and it worked!
I signed out of iMessage/Messages on all devices. I also deleted my iCloud accounts on all my devices (make sure you tell the software to keep local copies when you are prompted - relax, it all stays in the cloud, too) Then I signed back in to iMessage/Messages and then re-added iCloud accounts all around. I just sent a message with a photo attachment and did not get the "Not Delivered" message - yay!
(FYI - even though I received the error every time I sent a message with an image attachment, the message still went through - very, very happy, though to finally get rid of the message...)
