I get an Error and ipod touch Freezes iTunes
well im like really frustrated right now.... i recently got some new songs that i want in my ipod touch .. i usually charge my ipod on fridays or thursdays right but i did this on tuesday but when i plugged my ipod touch into the usb i got this ............................................................................... ........
" itunes was unable to load data class information from sync services reconnect or try again later"
i did try later and nothing all that happened was it froze itunes then when the message would pop up i could see the ipod icon but i could not click it cuz itunes was frozen, i tried uninstalling itunes and apple mobile device but nothing.. ive seen some posts here but nothing they had helped. i googled this and nothing and im like really frustrated cuz ima go on vacation to vegas and i cant go with out the new songs :'( please help me!!
im running Windows XP sp2
and my ipod is a 8GB 2.2 5g77a

Clean up your PC, download and re-install iTunes 8.1 and try again. Make sure you copy your library before you do all of this.

Well I have been having an issue for 2 months now and am getting different results. It all started with iTunes not recognizing my iPod Touch 3G 64GB. I tried numerous things: uninstall all Apple items, reinstalling at least 30 times, stopping/starting services, etc. Nothing is working. So last night I put it to restore mode and it was recognized and first time it gave me error 1604, then 1603, then the third, fourth and fifth time it installed the OS but then loops back to the "connect to iTunes" screen. I finally restored it on my roommates computer and brought it back to mine and, again, it does not recognize, but now it freezes iTunes until I disconnect my Touch from the computer. I am in real need of help here. I am currently deployed and cannot go to an Apple store or have the ability to contact them via phone. Hope someone can help. Thanks

How to get song off my iPod Touch into iTunes
Hello,
I just bought a new laptop and I'm trying to get all my music (non of which was purchased from iTunes) into iTunes on my laptop. I've tried a few apps that supposedly do this, but they didn't work and I don't have the option to use my Touch as a hard drive so some directions I found on the net wouldn't work in that situation.
Is there an easy 'free' way to do this with an iPod Touch?

JeffSenuti has just released a beta that does do exactly this. Obviously one accepts that this IS a beta and there are no guarantees, but I tried it yesterday and it caused me no problems. You might want to change the Transfer location in the preferences forst; but then maybe some won't.

For some reason when I click under "Device" on my iTunes, to pull up the information for my iPod, it will not give me any product information (such as space available, the tab for applications, etc...)
I am trying to add apps I downloaded to the iPod, but I don't know how else to go about doing it, or how to get my device screen to come back up. I have a 4th gen ipod that a friend gave me and he forgot the passcode. So I am in recovery mode and trying to update the software. It is a 847MB file and it says its going to take 9 hours, but then I get an error and stops downloading. When you restart, it goes from zero. Is any of this normal. Is there a faster way to update the software?

Try deleting the account from the iPod and reentering the settings. It is easy to make an error and notbe able find it.
