I get an error code -12 when trying to install

I was unable to unactivate it from the previous machine as the HD crashed. Now I get SDK error code -12 when the installer boots and then is crashes. How do I get LV on my new machine?
I am on WIN 7 Dell E6400
The product is LV 8.6 for NI ELVIS II

Hopefully you were able find the answer by searching. If not, please refer to this KnowledgeBase article. Instead of auto running the install CD/DVD, navigate to it manually and run Setup.exe.

I'm getting an error code 9 when trying to restore apple tv 2 thru iTunes any suggestions? the error comes up when itunes tries to verify the update. I hook the apple tv back to tv and says I need to connect to itunes. the original problem was the power went out and the apple tv light kept blinking. I tried restarting it but would not work. Try again tomorrow. All Apple servers are undergoing a huge number of hits. I think tomorrow or even the next day, all upgrade and activation servers will be in better shape.

It's a better bet with a 2330, but the first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 80070BC9, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

To fix the update install problems I've had with CC I use the direct installer I downloaded from Download New Adobe CC Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant/Manager) | ProDesignTools Follow the download instruction to the letter otherwise you will be denied access. Once to have it. Install CC on top of itself. That will back level CC to CC version 14.0. Then use Photoshop menu Help>Updates. All updates should install and all the extensions and addition you made to cc will still be there.

You need to verify the backups.. hold the options key whilst clicking the TM icon in the top menu area. Choose verify..
Look on the right for more like this.. it is a fairly standard error.

Why do I get an error code 5002 when trying to redeem an iTunes gift card?

Quit iTunes.

Modify or remove your credit card information.
Click Continue.
