I get an error message when syncing my ipad2 to itunes

i get two error messages when trying to sync my ipad2 to itunes for windows. one is that the disk can not be found and the other is that it's an unknown error 0xE8004002.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Thank you for clarify I'm supposed to read the ENTIRE article. I thought I was just supposed to read the title and magically everything will fix itself. And for the record my conclusions are not illogical, the iOS7 thing is on the website in small font (which I got by reading the ENTIRE thing) and you should really find a new hobby because your socialization skills need some help! I'm having the same problem. My Nano will copy the first 275MB of songs over, but after that, I get:
"Attempting to copy to the disk "(ipod name)" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."
I've restored my nano multiple times, and updated to the latest version of iTunes (7.6.0.29). Software version on my Nano is 1.1.3.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

If you're still getting the error message (especially when you plug in the Touch), I'd check for a device filter confusion on the PC. (They can affect the connection of USB devices to a PC, as well as burning and importing CDs.) For that one, see:

Error message when syncing to iPod in iTunes 7.4.1

Has anyone updated to the newest iTunes, and get a strange error message when you try syncing your iPod? I upgrades to iTunes 7.4.1, and for some reason, songs that work perfectly fine in iTunes won't sync to the iPod. The message that comes up says something to the effect that that drive in the iPod can't be read from or read to.
Any solutions?

OK, here's how I fixed my sync problem. First, when starting up iPhoto, press and hold down the cmd & alt buttons on your keyboard and this will bring up a dialog box, select all check boxes and hit rebuild. This will take some time so have a coffee or go and do something else, then when you come back, try syncing again in iTunes and the error message should be gone!

Why do i keep getting an error message when i go to the itunes store

I keep getting an error code when I try to go to the itunes store. The code reads "we could not complete your itunes store request. An unknown error occurred(0x800B0101)" and "There was and error in the itunes store. Please try again later.
Can someone please help with this? It's been going on for several days.

Keep getting fatal error message when i try to load itunes

everytime i try and load the itunes program onto my computer i keep getting the message:
could not gain access to HKEYLOCALMACHINE\Software\Classes\.cdda\OpenWithProgides key, please make sure you have access to this key and then try again.. now try as i might i cant even find this key on my harddrive and have no idea how to create it or if i am even looking in the right spot. please help me i would really like to put some music on my new motorola rocker or it will just become a waste of money..

Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

I'm having a similar problem. Using software update, iTunes 8.2 begins to download. It gets to about 41 megabytes and then times out. I get various error messages including that I'm not connected to the internet, and the directory didn't have the right permissions, etc.
I don't really use iTunes that much, but I use my iPhone ALL the time and would like to upgrade my iPhone software. Unfortunately, I have to have iTunes 8.2 to do that.
Is anyone from Apple listening?? There seem to be multiple posts about this problem. This is a very un-Mac-like problem.
