Apps get installed but will not launch, goes immediately back to home screen. Have reset, rebooted, clear cache, deleted cookies all on iPad

I am searching this forum to find somebody that has noticed this weird behaviour. The closest I came so far is your post.
So let me explain a little easier... The problem I think you mean is:
When switching bewtween applications using CMD+TAB it does switch to the space an app is open BUT the app switched to is behind all the other windows on that space. Is that correct?
This problem is also bugging me alot because I am used to to switch fastly between apps and this just renders the whole process useless. The best workaround I found so far is to stop using spaces (or Mission Control) and keep all the apps in one space to prevent this from happening.
I really hope Apple aknowledges this bug very soon because this LION deal is a complete mess. Tons of bugs. No fixes.

That suggests that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files.
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

I found out what the problem was. The font "verdana" has to loaded in my system fonts folder otherwise Illus. CC will not work. (don't't ask me how or why but it worked)

Do you have NoScript or Flashblock or some similar Extension installed? If so, are you allowing the site, at least on a temporary basis, access by such an Extension?

Yosemite working but iTunes will not launch

Finally got Yosemite running OK on my MBP even though I could not redownload it from the App Store. iTunes has not been working through this whole ordeal so that is not surprising (I thought). But I just did a complete download of the Yosemite Installer so they must be separate. iTunes will not launch. The icon is in the Dock and it will bounce three times when I click it but it won't launch/open. Can this be fixed by launching the Yosemite Install app now in my Application folder? I haven't found a way to download/reinstall iTunes separately. I had/have iTunes 12.0.1.

I have had this problem, I even went into package contents to Macos folder, ane when I launched from there, it seems that Itunes is not conecting to a server, and hence times out with the spinning wheel of death so no matter how many tiles i uninstall and re install, it keeps coming back to this?

Could you try starting Firefox in its Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Will Firefox start up?

Used "Update All" option for the first time to run updates displaying in App Store of my iPhone 4...DISASTER!!!
The selected apps have been "waiting" for over 5 hours. I cannot launch, pause or delete the applications.
I have deleted the apps through settings, but they're still showing as "waiting" on my phone and in the "purchases not on phone" section of the App Store. I'm not sure what else to do at this point.

Try holding down on the app it will start wiggling on your screen, then tap the X on the upper left corner that will give your option to delete it. (If they are not showing on your home screen anymore) Try this Reset Set Network Setting. Go do Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings (this will remove any saved Wi-Fi passwords that are on this device) once you do the reset, go onto your phone and attempt to download that applications again. I am sure that your will no longer see the apps updating anymore.

I purchased a Photoshop app but it will not download onto my iPad. to synch, but this has been no help.

After the app would not download I tried to reinstall several times. I keep getting a popup that says to go to iTunes and synch to install but this has been no help.

HT4009 I am trying to download an in-app purchase on a walking dead app, but it will not let me unless I contact apple support

I do not know how popular this app is but I am having a lot of difficulty purchasing the in-app episodes 2-5 on "The Walking Dead" bundle pack on the iPod touch 5th generation. It keeps telling me that there is a problem with the purchase and is telling me to visit the iTunes support.

I've seen that this is an issue on Leopard, but the MacPorts instructions say that DISPLAY should in fact be equal to that value.
XCode 2.5_8 is installed, from a download today. Since installing MacPorts, Xterm.app crashes.
MacPorts xorg-server and xterm is also correctly installed from a download and build today.
The 'env' result matches what MacPorts said it should be.
How can either Xterm.app, or the MacPorts xterm, be made to work?

Q: "Did you start X11 before you tried starting xterm?" A: For MacPorts X11: Yes I started the MacPorts X11 first with the command 'startx'. Regarding regular XCode X11, that used to work fine from the app icon. My problem is that it does not anymore, and the MacPorts X11 does not work either.
Q: "Generally when starting X11, it opens an xterm for you." A: Yes, starting the XCode X11 app generally does open an xterm. My problem is that it won't anymore.
Q: "Are you using the Mac OS X Tiger version of X11, or did you install your own? " A: I installed the latest Mac OS X Tiger X11, per my signature (see the dmg).
