Firefox (from Mozilla)
Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
Even if it's just to redownload the driver. I recommend another browser.

What site are you trying to watch? I just tested 3. The you tube app streams from the pad to apple tv fine, as long as the source video format is ok. Checked a site called funny or die.com. Most of the videosmthere stream to apple tv fine. A few have a different format, and do audio only. Netflix does not stream at all, but you can get to netflix directly from apple tv. Whether or not it streams is directly related to the format of the video. Some do, some dont.

Overall (at least via HDMI), I was very unimpressed with the process. The picture seemed washed out and the resolution certainly suffered. Thanks but I found my problem. It was easy oncew I found out the flask player was also called shockwave. My shockwave add-on was disabled. I'm not certain what caused the condition. I was good one day and not getting the error messages the next day. But, I know what to look for in the future if it reoccurs. Thanks again.

here is fix! i tried only step 1 and then restarted my computer and now it works. Choose remove All Files

Yes, but if the icon is there, then it's been enabled, right? So if you're getting audio and not video, it's enabled, but not working properly. I have enabled apps, and they barely even get chunks of audio. Useless...

Try playing them with vlc to see if they play there.

Audio but no Video on a Quicktime ".mov" file

I captured a clip from my video camera, which is HDV 1080i60, using Final Cut Pro HD. I can play my video clip on my G5 , in Quicktime, but when I try to play the video on my MacBook Pro I get a white screen and just the audio plays. I tried importing the clip into iMovie HD on the laptop and get the same results... audio but no video.
I tried downloading and re-installing Quicktime 7.1.2, and NOTHING! Same thing still happens!
Any help would bre GREATLY appreciated!

Tried what you mentioned in the last post. I checked the Quicktime folder in both machines and they match exactly.
As an experiment, I tried copying the contents of the Quicktime folder of the G5 to the MacBook pro after re-installing Quicktime 7.1.2 again... and NOTHING! Still get just a blank white screen and audio.
When I do the "Get info" from Quicktime, it tells me the format is: HDV 1080i60
I really thought copying the contents, ALL the contents, was really going to do it! I'm losing my mind at this point!
Again, thank you so much for the help... In the meantime, I will endeavor to persevere!

Getting audio but not video during playback using Airplay-

I'm using my iPad 3 to stream content from my Amazon Prime video account the via Airplay to my Apple TV. I'm getting the audio, but not the video. Are these units capable of doing what I'm trying to do, do I have to set up certain settings to do this? Help!!!

How do you know or find out if that's indeed what they're doing of if something is after all technically awry?

Front Row plays audio but not video of MP4 H264 AAC files

Here's the problem:
Take an MP4 movie file encoded with H264 and AAC thats plays with no problems in QT, iTunes, Front Row
Open this file in QT7Pro, add a mask using a GIF file then export as MP4 using video and audio pass through to avoid re-encoding
The new video file plays OK in QT and iTunes but only plays the audio track in Front Row - the video is just presented as a blank screen
This happens to every file i've tried it with.
I've tried trashing all front row caches/prefs/app support folders, installing/uninstalling/re-installing perian. i've tried changing the file extension to .mov .m4v .3gp - still the same problem the file plays perfectly except in Front Row
All the posts I can find on this topic seem to refer to subtitles causing a problem - these files have no subtitle track
Any suggestions?

I have faced the same problem exactly. Some seasons and one movie I have detected so far, do not show any video at all. If I open the same files in iTunes, they show ok. If I open the same files in QuickTime thought no video also. I guess it has something to do with QuickTime then. Try it yourselves in order to see if it is the same problms with you guys. If that is the case I will try to extract an older version of QuickTime from the installation package via Pacifist and see if that works.
Even if it doesn't work I am pretty sure they will come up with a new update fixing this, but the point is that Apple isn't used in making bugged updates, up until recent. What is wrong with them lately?

Get audio but no video

Hello All,
Currently working on a media player for a companies website.
Have to write the thing in AS2.0. Now I'm able to load the flv and
hear the audio however I don't get any video playback at all. Video
plays back fine in a flv media player so I know it encoded
correctly. Does anyone know what could be affecting this? I would
think it might be a codec issue however I've been told the flvs I
have should be encoded for as2.0

No music on ipod but in disk mode I can play the files from the ipod

My company now requires our laptops to be encrypted. So we have this Utimaco Safeware stuff installed. Ever since it was installed my ipod no longer can play music. Odd thing is I can put the ipod into enable disk use and the songs are there and I can play them in quicktime. After I disconnnect the ipod the ipod tells me there is no music.

If the files were placed on the iPod outside of iTunes or another iPod manager, the iPod will not recognize them as songs. Those transferred to the iPod through iTunes will not normally be visible as files on it.

Audio but no video on .mov files

I'm trying to watch a tutorial disc (working with Ableton Live). The video files are .mov, the disc comes with the install for Quicktime 7.03. I have Quicktime Pro 7.12. When I try to play the video files, I get audio but no video.
When I try to play the files in VLC Player, I get video but an audio error (and no audio)...
Anyone familiar with this issue (I've searched the forums and found similar issues, but nothing the same as this...)?

Nothing about Sorenson 3 (video track) AAC (audio) or Apple BMP (image format layer) that would keep the file from playing on your machine.
Do you open these .mov files directly from the CD (double click) or is there some app that is used from the CD to play them?
Try a double click and test the files while logged in under a different user account.
