I get good connectivity on wifi through my iphone 5 everywhere exept my own home

Both before and after a recent upgrade of the firmware on my linksys router, I continue to have trouble acccessing websites and streaming video over the web with my iPhone 5 at home. Eerywhere else it works fine. Same thing is happening with my roommates.

Thanks for the quick reply. The use of a heat gun to loosen the adhesive complicates matters, but your point about the 4G's unsoldered jack brings it back into the realm of a possible self-fix. I've read the notes by other users--some were successful with pipe cleaners or pressurized spray cans or both. I'll try that first before going for disassembly.
The first repair place that comes up when I Google "iPod repair" prominently features headphone jacks for the iPod Touch, suggesting it's a pretty popular item. Maybe the placement of the port, or even its angle, is a receptacle asking for trouble. If I get it to work again, I'm going to look for a leather, or folio, type of covering that doesn't leave that hole exposed.

No, it is not a known issue. It is a known non-issue. Try resetting your IMAP login ID and password. Both the incoming and outgoing. If that fails delete the account reboot the phone, and add it back.

Welcome to the Apple community.
When you delete the old account from the phone, the data is only deleted from that device, it is not deleted from the cloud. As such you will not lose the data off your phone either.

Windows XP system not getting good connection with Airport Extreme

I just moved into a house that already has a Mac system with an apple wireless network. I have a Dell 3.2 GHz system and I just bought a D-Link wireless card 108G with Mimo technology which is supposed to increase the range of the card. The airport extreme router is in the very next room no more than 15 feet away from my PC and I am getting "very poor connection" according to XP. Is there a compatability issue with XP and the Airport router. I have tried everything including getting the latest drivers from the D-link website and I am still getting extremely bad connectivity. I didnt think wireless networking would be this problematic. Let me know if any of you have had issues with this.

This will only be true when using the D-Link Router which uses 108G Mimo technology, otherwise it will only work at 802.11g speeds.

The Airport router is a wifi certified 802.11g wireless router and any wifi certified 802.11b or 802.11g client will be able to connect regardless of who it is made by.
It should be noted that the D-Link device is not wifi certified!

i have a ipod touch 4g...and my router requires WEP key and a username and a password when i connect to it through my laptop..ipod touch only asks for a password i.e. the WEP key..question is how to enter the username and the password in ipod touch?

my service provider has provided me with a username and a password..therefore my router is "NOT ALWAYS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET"..also PPPoE is enabled...

My Apple TV drops out when my iMac isn't connected to wifi yet my TV is connected to wifi. Also having issues with losing settings on Home Sharing as well. How do I fix these issues?

Whether I'm watching a movie purchased via my Apple TV or a movie stored on my iTunes app on my iMac I'm having constant issues with Apple TV either cutting out (randomly - not related to wifi) or not being able to access the 'My Computer' files when my iMac drops out the wifi connection because its in power saving mode. I also have issues with 'Home Sharing' settings having to be reset and sometimes having to unplug the Apple TV power cord and plugging it back in to be able to successfully reset these settings so I can get back to watching whatever it was I was viewing on Apple TV. My TV is connected to wifi as well so I'm wondering if there are any changes I can make in the settings of both my Apple TV and iMac or TV so that I can just select whatever it is I want to watch and be able to watch the entire movie or episode without it dropping out or having to keep flicking the mouse on the iMac to keep the computer connected to wifi? I love Apple products generally but Apple TV is proving to be a pain in the a**e lately. Hopefully someone can help me sort these issues out

Intermittent issues will point to a local network/wifi issue.
Reboot ATV and router, make sure both are up to date
Try ethernet
The home sharing connection will cut out if the iMac goes to sleep.

I have rest my phone and everything and I am still unable to connect to wifi. I entered my passcode at my apartment and it didn't work and now I am at my university and I have entered my secure passcode and it is still not working. Can you please help me with this?

I was experiencing the same problem. Tried numerous fixes. What finally worked was I went into Settings>General>About; recorded my Wi-Fi Address, and manually entered it into my router as an recognized/allowed device. Selected by network, entered the password on the iPhone, and Bingo! I was in!!

Hello, at my work i usually get wifi on my iphone until today. when i try to go to webpage it says safari can not open the page. you are not connected to internet. but when i turned off the wifi i can go to website.i reset the network and then typed the wifi password. but issues remained the same. i am not sure what is causing the problem. any help will be appreciated. thank you

Try rebooting the WiFi router by turning it off or unplugging it for 30 seconds.

Maybe i can help you , go to your facebook from computer
and click account > account setting, click applications, search " Facebook for iPhone " maybe on your list
if you have a " facebook for iphone " on your list, remove it , and try to login through your iphone . that should be work, like i'm failed to login via my blackberry .

If you have an issue with your iPhone not connecting to any Wi-Fi networks, and you have already tried restarting the phone and restoring your network settings, I would suggest that you back up any data on your iPhone and restore it as a new device. See this article -

Cant connect to wifi with iphone 4s

On the iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings.
This will erase all saved wi-fi networks and settings from the iPhone.
This will require re-joining every wi-fi network your iPhone has access to when returning within range of such a wi-fi network.
If no change after this, try restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup.
If no change after that, the iPhone has a hardware problem.
