I get motion drag when i compress my video into appleprores 422 and 422HQ any help on how to reduce this?
ok so when i compress my video into apple prores 422 and 422 HQ i always get drag on the image when it moves? and i know it not the image as it works fine on tape and in FCPX itsself? is there a special setting i have to use to reduce this? or is my video file bad?

I would consider sharing one or more of the following when asking for help:
Souce footage codec, pixel dimensions
Sequence codec & pixel dimensions
How are you exporting it?
What kind of file are you ending up with? codec, size, etc.

When trying to open iTunes I get an R6034 error for the iTunes.exe. It appears to be caused by Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. I'm using an HP DOS machine. When downloading an update to iTunes, an iTunes Error 7 (Windows error 1114) appears stating that iTunes did not install correctly. Does anyone have a suggestion for resolving this situation?

Getting Communication Error when I try using Video Chat in Hotels and other
Hi i wanted to use my iCHAT to have a video discussion with my wife using a REMOTE Wireless Internet band when i get this "COMMUNICATION ERROR" (See details below). How do i fix this so i can have a video discussion with my HOME iCHAT.

Look in the /Home/Library/Mail/ folder and search in there for a Plug-ins folder. See if it's in there. If so just delete it. Otherwise you need to search your drive for the item:
Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.

I'm getting green flashes when I compress my mpeg2 files....
Does anyone know why I'm getting green flashes when I compress my movie for DVD Studio Pro? It plays (relatively) fine in FCP, but when I compress it (using Compressor) for DVD output I got a movie full of green flashes.
It's really annoying and I can't figure it out. I've had nothing but problems with FCP.

I uploaded a video from a flashdrive to my Mac and it compressed the video to lower quality and shrunk it in size. How do I get it to the original size?
It changed the Aspect ratio of the video, as if it had been shot on a phone instead of a camera. When first looking at the footage it was in landscape aspect but when I transfered it to a memory unit to put on a different computer it uploaded it in a different ratio

I saved docs from a iMac to a flashdrive but when I plug the flashdrive into an iBookG4 and try to open the docs on the flashdrive, I get this message: Doc 2 cannot be opened. The required index.xml file is missing. Does this mean that I can't use the info on the flashdrive with the iBookG4 or can I do something to get the required index.xml file?

I am having problems with the Preview application. When I try to use it to open a pdf document it gets hung-up and I have to select force quit to close it. Any ideas on how to resolve this problem? Thanks for any help
Can you open the Preview program without loading a file, like by itself?
If it doesn't load then I suspect a corrupt Preview preference file.

I had this problem for about six weeks. I was following this forum but was too unsure of what might happen to try the fixes that were suggested.
About two weeks ago I decided to delete the downloads.28.sqlitedb file (usingDiskAid(a free program), on a PC running Windows 7). The original downloads.28.sqlitedb was 936 KB. The new one that the system created is 80 Kb., and has stayed at about that size. After about four days I also deleted all the other contents of the Download folder. Ten days later and still no more problems. Downloads are much quicker, nothing greys-out (as was happening frequently before).
Everything has worked well since with no more error messages.
I am using an iPod 4G, iOS 5.1 (originally iOS 5.0). I do not have a manifest file, and as far as I know, have not had one. DiskAid can search the whole "hard drive" on the iPod.
Deleting downloads.28.sqlitedb and the contents of Downloads worked for me. -
I used to have Emoji on my iPod when I first bought it. I had to restore my iPod because it went into recovery mode and it deleted everything. How do I get Emoji back? Do I have to buy it off iTunes?
