I get no sound in multitrack!!!

all of a sudden i can hear nothing in multitrack view. when i open the wav file in edit mode it plays fine. but when i play it in multitrack view i hear nothing. the equalizer is moving and i can record vocals. but they have no soud when i play them back..please help..it just started happening for no apparent reason.

In the mixer, have you either knocked the fader on the master channel down, or accidentally muted it? Or assigned the channel to a card output you aren't using?

DVI interface does't allow audio. Is there optical IN from your Panasonic TV? By then you can connect your ATV to Panasonic using optical together. It will work.

The Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI adaptor will only pass video in most cases. You will need to run a separate audio cable along with it. Likely a 3.5mm (male-to-male) cable. Or a 3.5mm (male) to red/white RCA (male) cable. Just depends on what audio input ports your TV has dedicated to the HDMI input.

I get no sound from my guitar when using iRig with my iPod 5th gen (iOS 7)

I've just bought my iRig and it doesn't work with my iPod 5. I get no sound out of my guitar.
Headphones are working and when iRig is connected I can hear the samples and every other sound coming out of the iPod, but I get nothing from my guitar.
I tried shutting the iPod down, turning Mono on/off, but it still doesn't work with any of my apps (Amplitube, Garage Band and AmpKit).
Then I tried it with my brother's iPod 4 and it worked perfectly, which makes me think that there's something wrong with my iPod settings (I got the iOS 7)....
Does anyone know something I could try?

Contact the developer/go to their support site . Maybe it is not compatible with the 5G iPod. Also, it may not be compatible with iOS 7. Did it work on the 5G before iOS 7?

I check sound and do not see anything other than the altec lansing speckers and realtek. Th altec lansings are the default. Help

Welcome to the HP Forums. I understand you are unable to produce audio through an HDMI connection. I apologize for the late response, but I will do my best to assist you. Before anything else, please answer these questions:
1. What is the current computer's operating system? Does the same behaviour occur on multiple operating systems?
2. The title seems to imply that there is no audio when connected to a television, using HDMI. Does this only occur when you connect to a television? Will it occur if you connect to something else using HDMI?
3. Have you tried connecting to a television using VGA or DVI? If so, what are the results?
As an additional suggestion, for now, I would review the television's manual to confirm that everything is correct from the television's standpoint.

How can I get the sounds , like clicking,etc to work on iPad 2 with IOS 5. In the settings all sounds are on and the volume is high but I don't get a sound.

After downloading IOS 5, I no longer get the sounds on my IPAD 2 to work. They are on in settings and the volume is at maximum, but the sounds such as keyboard click, email sent etc, donor work.
Any suggestions.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I no longer have sound for either my audio books or my music on itunes. I've tried everything--restarting, updating, re-installing audible app, and restoring the iphone to its factory settings--nothing helps. How do I get the sound back?

How do I get the sound back on my iPhone 4? I've tried all the fixes such as restarting iPhone, reinstalling the audible app, and finally yesterday, I restored the phone to its factory settings. I still get no sound from music on iTunes or from my audible books. The phone still rings (I have sound for that) and the voice control speaks to me, and when I'm typing, the automatic text voice speaks so I can hear it but nothing else works.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

I can't get any sound to work on my ipod touch

I cannot get any sound on my ipod touch. When I am listening to music the volume bar is not visible and when I am on my apps it says no volume available. Anybody have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

Verify that the volume is set appropriately.
Verify that headphones are not attached to the headphone port.
Verify that Bluetooth stereo headphones are not paired wirelessly.

Verify that there's no debris in the headphone port.
Plug and unplug the headphones. Reconnect headphones and verify the connector is pushed in all the way.
Check the volume setting on your iPod touch.
If you are trying to listen to music and cannot hear any audio, make sure that the music is not paused.
Make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed on the computer that you are syncing the iPod touch with (songs purchased from the iTunes Store using earlier versions of iTunes won't play).
Try another set of Apple headphones.
Try a different song or video.
Check other content, such as videos, to see if they exhibit the same audio issues.

Can't get surround sound to work while default format is 96000Khz

I finally figured out that for some reason I can play 5.1 surround sound if I choose the 24bit/48000Kh as the default format from the realtek manager, or for that matter from the Sound control panel. But if i choose the 24bit/96000Kh from the realtek sound manager I only get stereo sound when played either from WMP or WMC.
Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the sound card I have?
According to the spec's I should have the for the s3480a are:
Sound/Audio
High Definition 6-channel audio
ALC 888S chipset
Also, and maybe for another post, i bought HDMI cable because I have a TV Tuner card in this unit but I can't seem to get it to work...

I've seen similar OEM "configurations" with RealTek codecs and the sound hardware on the motherboard. I "think" channel limitations at higher Khs are either a real hardware/codec limitations or the folks that design the PC are safeguarding against problems that show up when multi-channel is enabled at higher Khs (power draw, popping noises, whatever).
This is total speculation on part.
I have seen cases where updating the sound codec using the latest drivers available from realtek.tw allows you to select from more hz and channel options. But keep in mind more problems might pop up if you select a hz range beyond 48Mhz.

Compaq Presario R3000 how to get the sound to work with Windows 7 RC

1) Download SP29586.exe: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp29501-30000/sp29586.exe
2) Run it, Create a directory c:\ swsetup
3) Once all the Files are extracted DO NOT INSTALL
4) Now Goto the Start Menu Click on Devices and Printers, the Click on the Name you have called your machine this will be marked will a yellow triangle as the sound driver windows 7 has install already is a realtek ac 97 which is not working,
5) Once your Machinename you will see a general tab and and hardware tab select the hardware tab.
6) Look for the Realtek ac 97 under the Device functions, select that and click properties,
7) Now tab to the Driver, now click update driver,
8) Select the option let me pick from a list of devices drivers, now click have disk
9) Click on Browse select the following location Swsetup\SP29586\SMAXWDM\W2K_XP and click on smwdmCH6.inf
10)Now the Soundmax Driver should come up select ok and next. Now your Sound will work

I am basicaly having the same problem with my labtop. I tried the following above and yet I still have not been able to get my sound to work. I have had some problems with my power and sound cards before but after I reinstalled windows my graphics card and sound card have not been working to their full potential. I thaught that it was a 64 bit graphics card, but now I am not so sure. I had to jostle the power cord in the back till I mannaged to find a perfect spot to keep the computer running. Before the reinstallation I had to put pressure on the left side of the computer to get the sound to work.. but even then it still came in and out.. "The sound that is." I can see the same driver in the codex menue and it is yellow but, what you stated above did not work.
It says (Cannot continue the hardware update) The wizard cannot find a better match for your hardware than the software that you curently have installed. and then tells me to keep the current software. My sound Icon does not show up when I go to the settings.... I can't play diablo 2 on this no idea why... But my screen is choppy when I scroll through internet sites and it did not do that before. I have a 400mbs connection .... here is my computer information. :Compaq Presario R3000 Intel pent4 2.80ghz 2.80ghz 1.12GB ram and im running on windows xp2 professional.

I'm not sure I follow your words Fuzzynormal. You've helped by offering the insight that my issue in Logic Pro 9 is not a bug but a feature. But fell short of enlightenment by being a judge of character and of how one should interact in this forum. You insinuate that I haven't tried to solve the issue on my own when in fact I have. These forums are always my last resort. You further suggest that I am complaining. This is not a complaint. It is a genuine issue that I cannot figure out. Then you think that Brazeca is holding my hand and being a nice guy. Brazeca is helping people like me who might not be as adept at using Logic Pro as probably you are.This community forum was established to raise questions, answers and dicussion to help Apple's customers better undertand their operating systems and related issues. I have a DV7 running Windows 7. I get no sound from the HDMI output.

Video out to TV is working fine. I made sure I have the latest drivers, when I go to Sounds I have ATI HDMI audio set as my default and it shows sound going out on the meter but it does not get to my tv.
I have checked the cable and the jacks on the TV - tried switching both. I can plug my HD DVD into the same cable and get audio just fine.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ATI HDMI audio drivers and rebooting. Tried rebooting with the cable plugged in and not plugged in. Tried switching the default to speakers - I get the sound on the laptop - switch it back and no sound.
What's worse is the problem is intermittent. I can plug it in one day and it works, a few days later it doesn't. A few days after that it works again.
I have run out of ideas - please help.

How to get your sound quality great in Vi

Guys,
Ive installed vista64 since i did a major upgrade along with my X-FI Gamer Fatality Soundcard, i always thought it dont sound great at all.
Ive just figured out why, in the sound options of the control panel where you can select the quality of sound always select 48hz studio quality dont go for the 96hz studio quality.
Do this in all the sound settings for each device and then tailor it to 5. or stereo which every you prefer, then goto the creative console and match it eg 5., stereo etc.
If needed test the channels and see how nice it sounds. as you will notice so long as you have a decent setup it will sound more fuller in apps and games.
I was using 96hz studio quality and always thought why it sounded so flat but as soon as i changed it to 48hz studio quality its sounding like i was using XP again, wmp sounds really good, full 5.ch and so are my games.
You can say now im totally satisfied with vista 64/32, sounds great and it plays all my games really well. Anyways i hope this helps all you out there, let us know how you get on.
