Photoshop CS6 for windows will not install.

I have already copied the lesson files to my hard drive as the book instructs, however there is no autorun screen, or even a shortcut/icon that says Adobe Photoshop, the same applies for Adobe Bridge. What am I doing wrong? I need this for a college course and have already missed an assignment because I cannot get it to work. Please help?

Configurator 3 Panels Cause Issue in Photoshop CS6 for Windows 8

I've come across an issue in Windows 8 when creating panels with Configurator 3 for Photoshop CS6. I hope there is a solution.
After I create and install any panel from Configurator 3 for Photoshop CS6, working on a Windows 8 machine, the speed of clicking on and selecting layers in the Layers Panel is quite delayed, sometimes to the point of seconds. This definitely is disruptive and impedes smooth workflow entirely. In further detail, when the panel is up and running, and then I click on a layer in the layers panel, or multiple layers, or try to switch between layers, the response is terribly lagging and slow, and layers aren't instantly selected as they were before.
Please note, I'm getting this same issue on two different Windows 8 machines with Photoshop CS6 with any panel I create in Configurator 3. I'm also getting this issue on a panel I didn't create, for example, the HTML Sample Panel from Adobe, downloaded from the Adobe Exchange Panel.
I've also tested creating a panel on a Mac and installing that .zxp file on my Windows machines, but I get the same result. Note, this is NOT happening in CS5 with panels created in Configurator 3 using Windoes 8, and it's not happening on a Mac with CS6, using the same panels. It is also NOT happening on a Windows 7 machine. This appears to be an issue with Windows 8 and CS6 and Configurator 3.
If I close out the extension's panel tab, and then restart Photoshop, everything is back to normal, but as soon as I open the extension again, it's back to delayed interface. And, if I don't fully close the panel and restart, the issue does not go away.
Please let me know if you've come across this and if there is a solution. I hope someone or Adobe can help.

Nick, do you have a virus scanner or malware protection software? I do and I have found that if I exclude Photoshop.exe as a process from being monitored, the problem goes away. My malware protection software has "real-time protection" and "behavior monitoring" and if I configure it to not monitor Photoshop, which uses a bunch of javascript for panels, then the slow-down goes away.

Kinect V2 for windows sold out almost everywhere - is the product being continued?

I would really like to get a Kinect V2 sensor for windows, but in the MS store of my country (the Netherlands) it is sold out. It is also sold out in pretty much every other european country. I only found some in the Canadian and Australian store.
Contact with the canadian store thaught me they do not ship to other countries and I should get it though the MS store of my own country. The MS store of my own country told me it's sold out, and told me it will not be 'in store' any time soon.
So my question is: why is this? will the product be produced and sold again or is it not being further developed / replaced by something new? ... if it's not discontinued, where/how should I get it?

Hi Carmine, thx for your reply. I see I can indeed order the Xbox One sensor and the adapter, both are still available, that's great!
My only remaining question then is: as a developer, will I have the same possibilities with this combination as with the sensor for windows? (sinse with the sensor for windows it is named a 'developer kit')

Problem with Updated Webcam Software for Windows 7 (I AM NOT USING THE BETA VERSION OF WINDOWS 7)

I have a dv5-1235dx. HP posted new software for Win 7 (64) built in camera software. The install seemed to go fine, but once you click to run the software, nothing happens, so it seems. About a minute or so later, the application opens. Why is it taking so long to open. I have uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times and the problem still exist. I have tried to go back to the old vista version of the software (running in cap mode), but now that software takes a long time to load. I have done a restore, with no affect. What happened? Note: I am using the full retail version, not a beta of Win 7 Ultimate. None of the other Updated HP software has this problem. HP won't help because Windows is not officially released yet.

I have Photoshop CS6 for windows on an upgrade disk. Now considering a mac air notebook to replace my old pc laptop as second machine. Could I use the program on this on my existing licence? Would I be able to download the program? Also, what's the minimum system spec advisable for smooth running on a mac? Hoping a helpful Adobe person can answer these questions easily. Thanks

No. And that takes care of your otehr questions - it's a moot point. Standalone permanent licenses are platform specific and there's no way around that. Only Creative Cloud allows cross-platform usage as do certain types of volume licenses, none of which is relevant to your situation.
