I get the message "sliprt.dll is missing" when trying to install Flash Player

I have Windows 7 64 bit, and get the same message in Internet Explorer 10, Firefox and Chrome. I have tried all the actions that Adobe has on its site (including uninstall and removing all the files) without success. What should I do?????

I cant copy and paste the install file but it was not a or b above.  It was copied from the adobe website, downloaded  successfully, but will not install.  I get the download from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#mai n-pars_header

You already have most current version of Adobe (Shockwave Flash): version 10.0.45.2
The instructions on the Adobe site are out-of-date and incorrect.
You can download the Adobe Download Manager if you wish, but it has caused some problems, and I would advise against it. See the following for information on Adobe DLM:

'''You have the Adobe DLM''' listed in your plug-ins; '''''getplusplusadobe16263'''''
    See:
    <u>'''Uninstall Adobe Download Manager'''</u>
It has caused problems for many users. In the following article, scroll to near the bottom and follow the instructions under the heading "Getting rid of GetPlus":

    -exit Firefox (File > Exit)
-double-click on the Adobe Flash installer you just downloaded to install it

*<u>'''NOTE: On Vista and Windows 7'''</u> you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). • Why am I getting the message 'this connection is untrusted' when trying to access iCloud through Mozilla Firefox?

I use Mozilla Firefox and have never had difficulty before, but today I got 'this connection is untrusted' when trying to open iCloud.  There was no option to override this.
    The Technical Details said:
www.icloud.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.
    (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
    Help!

Clear your history/cookies and stuff like that on Firefox and then retry. If that doesn't work try restarting the computer or accessing iCloud via Google Chrome or Safari for the time being. I feel your pain, I love Firefox.

  • I keep getting time out error messages when trying to install flash player

I've put a new install of Win 7 64 bit pro onto a new hdd.  All other s/w has worked fine and not given me any issues except for adobe flash player.  If I just install FP 11 it installs ok.  Issue happens when I try to install the "other" version for Steam.  The install screen stops at 11%, shoots up to 47%, then I get a timeout error message.  If I uninstall and install the Steam version 1st it works then the regular version gets the same timeout error.  I have folllowed all advice from previous threads on this topic such as disabling firewall (I use Panda), a clean adobe install using the flash player uninstall program and removing reader as well then going through the registry and removing all mention of adobe, etc, etc.
I found a partial way around this.  I installed the Steam version of flash player, then found a website that I could download flash player 10 executable from.  I was able to run that and get both versions of flash player going on my system.  Then the flash player went and found the update to version 11.  I've just tried to install that and I end up with the exact same error messages all over again.
Is there website that I can download the executable file for flash player 11 from or a link to it on the adobe website?

I am not sure what you mean by "Flash Player for steam"; the only Flash Player installers I know is the ActiveX (for Internet Explorer) and the plugin (for other browsers); you can find both at http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • IOS 5 seems to work, but when I connect the ipad to my macbook, i get the message that itunes was interrupted when restoring. I try to restore again and I get the message "An error occurred while restoring this iPad (-50)." What should I do?

iOS 5 seems to work on my ipad, but apparently something went wrong when restoring. I lost music and movies, and when I connect the ipad to my macbook, I get the message that itunes was interrupted when restoring. I try to restore again and I get the message "An error occurred while restoring this iPad (-50)." What happened and what should I do?

I have had the same issue since day 1 of the ios5 installation.  I always hit "Cancel" and then the iPad eventually shows up again in iTunes.  Then a few hours later, I get the same message again.  Annoying, but I've not found a way around it.

You can go to Applications, Utilities, Activiy Monitor to see just how much space is available.  To free space you need to remove files that take a lot of space, things like videos, photos, music.  Get an external hard drive, OWC http://www.macsales.com has a good selection, and move material off the internal drive.
