i'm trying to transfer some files from my hard drive to my external drive. one is 37GB and one is 81GB i've tried moving them separatly onto my external drive which has 785 GB free.
I get the message - "Sorry, the opearation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred.
(Error code 0)"
any ideas on what to do here?

Get a new external case. Or avoid those WD MyBook and other 'name brand.'
Tried a reformat/erase of the external?
Is it GUID and HFS+ or as it was shipped which may have been formatted for Windows (MBR) and FAT.
After erasing and insuring it is initialized, maybe Disk Warrior or scan for bad blocks. Or a bad cable even. LaCie drives have a host of problems that seem to affect theirs specifically, power adapters and more.

Activation issues are almost always the result of a device that has been hacked or jailbroken. If that is the case, no support can be provided here.
The other possible issue is a device running the iOS7 Beta. If that is the case, and you are a developer, sign into the developers forums for assistance. If that is the case and you are not a developer, try google.

Sometimes rapid purchases look suspicious if you have a credit card attached to your account. Store credit takes a minute to catch up depending if the balance is low on the account. May want to check balance or with credit card company.

However when i try to update the message comes your iPod touch could not be activated because activation server is temporarily unavailable. - Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

unfortunately no, a million people are attempting to update their phones right now, and thus activate them. Patience will have to suffice.
For the future, I would recommend not updating essential work devices on the launch day

Trying to buy music, getting a message saying "Your request could not be completed". I am signed in correctly, can select my song. Any suggestions?

Since a few days when I try to copy or move files on my macbook, I often get an error message saying "This operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured (error code -8062)". And then it just quits the copy or move.
I searched a lot on the internet, but only found solutions for cases you cannot empty the trash due to this issue.
I tried those solutions for my trash and that helped after some trying.
However, I still have the problem with copying and moving files.
I even cannot install new software now, as it has to copy itself to the programs-directory, and gives the same error-message.
Who can help me??

My user-account is administrator, I use a 13" Macbook Aluminium (Late 2008). Mac OS X 10.6.8 CPU 2Ghz Intel Core Duo, RAM: 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3.

Tips I received so far (thanks to A-Mac via Twitter http://www.a-mac.nl and Remco Kalf http://www.remcokalf.nl/)
- make sure you have at least 10% of your harddisk in free space (I had only 5%).
- do a PRAM-reset (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379)
- perform a hardware test (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509)
- make a complete backup (with for example Carbone Clone Copier, see http://www.bombich.com/)
- after complete backup: use diskwarrior (boot from Diskwarrior DVD, first perform diagnostics, then perform "Rebuild" which rebuilds your file directory).
So far I only cleared up some space on my HD, and already the problem occurs less.
Still, I will go through the other tips too.
