I get "This Connection is Untrusted" on every website?
I've uninstall firefox and changed the time and I can't get the bowser to work. Every single webpage gets the This Connection is Untrusted message. Every website gets the error message (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer). I don't have any problems with IE only firefox won't work. I just bought the computer 2 days ago so im sure its not a virus. I have Kaspersky internet security
It didn't work. I could not find KasperskyAnti-VirusPersonalRootCertificate in firefox. I have windows 8.1 so I don't have a start button. I made hidden folders viewable from the control panel, but I couldn't find the certificate

I keep getting "This connection is untrusted" in all sites when i use Firefox 36.0.1 on windows 8 laptop. How can i overcome this.
hi vijaysampath, first please make sure that the date, time & timezone are set correctly on your system. if this doesn't solve the issue (or it is already set properly), a possible solution depends on different factors:
* what is the '''error code''' shown under ''technical details'' on the error page?
in case the error code equals ''sec_error_unknown_issuer'', please attempt to add an exception on the bottom of the error page in order to inspect the certificate like it is shown on the screenshot attached:
* which '''issuer information''' does the certificate contain?
please report back with those two pieces of information. thank you! -
When trying to move address books to Yahoo from Gmail I get "This Connection is Untrusted." I click on "I understand the risks..." but get no way to add an exception.
You shouldn't get that error with such common sites.
You may need to install or update the mozilla-nss packages via the software update of your Linux distribution. -
Firefox Nightly keeps bugging me with "This Connection is Untrusted" on every single site I visit
So I am trying out the new FireFox Nightly, as it was suggested by a friend to me. Now I am liking it at first, but when I remove all my old FireFox stuff (completely uninstalled as there was alot of useless junk/plugins/data that I wanted gone) I am now getting this "This Connection is Untrusted" message on every single site I visit! It even says that the mozilla site is dangerous. So is there any way to disable these warnings?
Hello Rykuu, also, check the time and date of your system, if the date and time on the computer are wrong then security certificates may not be valid.
which security software do you have (firewall or/and anti-virus)?
thank you -
while replaying ajax truclient script in loadrunner 11.0, getting error "this connection is untrust" page in 40th step. Add this exeception permanently check box is disable when i got the exeception certificate file. i tried with by deleting cert8.db file in loadrunner ajax truclient profile but still same result.
can any one guide me to resolve this issue...Is that content loaded in an iframe?
You can check that via the right-click context menu to see if there is a "This Frame" item.<br />
If that is the case then try top open the frame in a new tab or otherwise check the Technical Details of the error message. -
I get this error message "this connection is untrusted" after I re-installed Windows Vista and all my programs. This happened before but after reformatting my computer everything was good. Why am I getting this? Could it be a virus of some sort? It happens when I use Windows Internet Explorer as well....
Hi,
Please check the time/date on the PC. The ideal setting would be to '''Automatically synchronize ...''' in Date and Time > Internet Time. -
All works OK on Chrome and IE, but Firefox just suddenly stopped access to https sites yesterday, e.g. Google, Facebook and Linkedin. Non secure http sites are OK though. "This Connection is Untrusted" is the error message and technical details are www.google.com.tw uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer). I've tried all the Mozilla support suggestions, clock (which was always correct), reset Firefox, etc. No change so far, I hope you can help fix this issue.
Check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details to expand this section.<br>If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If <b>"I Understand the Risks"</b> is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
*Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
*Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate. -

Mac users get "this connection is untrusted" message although I have an SSL cert
I have a new ecommerce website for which I paid to have an SSL certificate. Mac users browsing in Firefox are getting a "This connection is untrusted" message. Users are offered a "Get me out of here button" or can click on "Technical Details" or "I understand the risks". Most choose to get out.
Mac users can browse in Safari with no problem, PC users don't have the issue in any browser, including Firefox. You can check the certificate chain via a website like this:

This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.facebook.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
I have tried following Solution:
1. Uninstalling firefox completly including deleting profile + reboot + install
2. Reset the Firefox
3. Clear the caches and evreything.
But could not solve my problem so now I am posting this questions. I am using Latest Firefox with Windows 7.
Please help me to get rid of these issues as I am highly dependent on Firefox.

"This connection is untrusted" for any website I try to visit
Trying to access any website and I get the "this connection is untrusted" error come up.
Sites like the FireFox addons, Facebook, Tumblr, etc etc.
I've tried adjusting my date and time (although it already is on the correct date and time..) and still, nothing.Example:
-
I tried to log into a site that I use on a daily basis for my freelance writing. In the middle of the page - where it lists my reports - is a box that says, "This connection is untrusted." I read some other Help articles and one said there should be three options, one which allows me to continue. In my instance, there were no options to do anything to continue or to leave the page.
I don't know what an iframe is. When I right-clicked, it said that this website does not supply ownership information.
