the problem is that i did not actually change my apple account, i only changed my creditcard number. for som e reason when trying to update apps it shows an apple id with wrong emailadres it says @ homail.com instead of hotmail.
so actually i don t have a new account. if i understand you correctly i will not be able to update all my apps? i just have to buy them again? that would be really stupid..

my pass book on my iphone 5 does not work like it should, it works just the same as it did on the iphone 4, i tryed the date an time trick like 5 times an still nothing. i tryed factory reset an nothing. i know it workds different on the iphone 5 then the 4. but i dont know what else to do.

Has anybody experienced the iPhone off switch not working all the time.
I have an iPhone 5, it's about 16 months old and it has experienced an annoying issue. The off button does not work all the time, sometimes I have to press it multiple times and other times it just works. The worst case is when it does not work at all, very frustrating. I didn't expect this type of issue for a phone that is not even a year and a half old.
I did some searching on the internet and there are 2 schools of thought, the first is that this is a hardware fault and Apple know about it but won't admit it because it would cost them too much to repair/replace phones with the issue. The second school of thought is that it is a software issue and a backup/reset/restore will fix it; I tried doing this but it did not resolve the issue.
Further digging seemed to suggest that it was really a hardware fault and the only option was to get a refurb from Apple for a ton of money, not cool.
Anyway, if anyone has any more information that could help me resolve this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

Firstly the technician admitted that there is a sporadic fault on the iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 switches, something to do with the design of the switch that included a rubber element that rolls up (whatever that means) and causes the switch to fail. He then indicated that the iPhone 5s does not have the issue because the switch has been completely redesigned.
Since I was stupid enough to not take out the extended warranty the only options he gave me were to purchase a new phone or to get a refurb for $269, not cool. Why would anyone think that a phone would not work correctly for 2 whole years when the phone only cost about $600!
Since I have about 7-8 months left on my phone contract I am not prepared to pay for either option. I find it amazing that a phone can develop this type of issue in such a short time and then expect the customer to pay for their failures. Apple supposedly sells a very high quality product for a very high price, looks like they have taken a step back from this philosophy.
I am disappointed in the options that he gave me (I don't blame the technician) but I suppose I expected more from Apple in terms of quality and service.

If you are referring to the speaker at the bottom, there is only one, the other is a microphone. Otherwise, have you attempted a reset?
Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

After a recent 'update' from Firefox The additional "tab" which used to be at the right side of the primary tab is gone. On the far top left of the page, under the word "File" in the menu bar is a link that opens up a second completely new Firefox page. I do not want this. I want the tab to be in the original position to the right of the primary tab. I have been to 'trouble shooting', tried 'extensions' information and gone to the 'add-ons manager'. Nothing is working. Please help.
I use MS XP.There is only one solution: create a new Standard user account and set it as your auto login account, if you use that feature.
Using what you describe is mostly a false sense of security. Were someone to hack into the computer they could hack into the standard account, so you would not wish to keep any sensitive data in that account. Other things to consider:
Turn on your Firewall in Security & Privacy preference panel.
Use software to mask your online presence such as ProxyCap 2.03, MacProxy, Proxifier, or Hotspot Shield. -

Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:

I just had to do a factory restart on my iPhone 5s because if you use the greek keyboard for your password it wont unlock your phone.
Maybe it's your cable.

When I go to compile the app the compiler inserts that line into my descriptor at the very bottom (just before the application tag closes). It's weird, I tried setting the <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/2.7"> back to 2.6 and it works and seems to compile in 2.7 (as I noticed the timer bug).
Anyway, I only tried 2.7 because I heard the GPU fullscreen bug had been fixed, but given that the timer issue still remains I'll go back to 2.6 for the time being.

I live in China as well and my iPhone5s is the model A1530 I bougth outside China. I have the same problem as Nikatnight with the iPhone while the iPad Air (wifi only) is working like a charm. If you pay attention at the source of your maps, you'll discover they are provided by AutoNavi instead of TomTom and make them appear in chinese with their own border interpretation. Queries are only acceppted in Chinese (p.e. if I type in english "Los Angeles International Airport" it replies it cannot locate it)
I suppose everything will be fine when you'll be out of censorship....
Perhaps iOS Apple Maps are absolutely useless for expatriate in China.
Use Google Maps instead

Standard unlocking procedure once processed by the carrier:
Backup in iTunes
Erase the phone (ignore restore terminology here)
Plug the phone to the computer and then launch iTunes
Wait for unlock notification.
Restore the backup.
