I give up with the Creative X-Fi Extreme Mu

I've exhausted all possibilities in trying to solve this infuriating snap/crackle/hiss problem. I'm using an NForce 4-based board with an Adaptec RAID controller in one PCI slot and the sound card in the other. I'm using 2 NVidia 7600 GT's in an SLi configuration. The processor is an AMD 64 dual core. I've uninstalled, re-installed, used the driver from the cd, used the new driver, nothing works. Took the X-Fi card out, put in my old Audigy 2 ZS. No snap/crackle/pop with the Audigy. It's working perfectly just like it always did. It's a shame, because when the X-Fi card actually does work, it's great. I just simply can't take the stress and annoyance of using it any more knowing that at any moment the problems will start again.

No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.
TDM should be safe. Using cautious, manual copying of files from the Target machine to the Host machine should not result in unexpected loss of files or damage to the Target drive's directories. It should behave exactly the same as if it were an external (to the Host) firewire drive.

Ok, I got a vision m for christmas and everything worked fine. I stopped using it for?a couple of months and then my mom got a v plus. I wasn't getting the connection error with the MTP device stuff. Now I plug in my vision m and I am getting the same problem. This is starting to piss me off. I got my mom's to work on my old comp upstairs. But I will not allow mine to be linked to that computer. All my music is on this computer. I don't know what is going with the creative products, but creative you really need to figure it out.

I agree. I've had problems with my old player (Zen Micro) and my new one (Zen Vision: M) which are connection issues. Sometimes they connect, and others they don't.

I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC (together with the Apps) doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

If so, i already have a wi-fi router, so can the Time Capsule simply be used for wireless backup instead of as a router if there is conflict?

A TC is fundamentally a AE with a sata chip included to drive the hard disk. Some slightly different bios to include disk functions, although most of those are also on the AE. So as a router it is 99.999% identical.
And yes, if you have another router you can easily bridge the TC and use wireless for backups and internet connection. Once you no longer route through the TC the issues with most NAT problems including port forwarding should disappear.. mostly this is due to all apple routers using NAT-PMP instead of upnp which is the near universal standard for opening ports.. without upnp apple keep their routers more exclusive.

Install an app on multiple computers with the Creative Cloud membership?

I have the Creative Cloud membership. Can I install an app on multiple computers? I wouldn't use the app on different computers at the same time.

You can install on as many machines as you like, but the account can only ever be active on 2 machines at any given time. If you need to move to anotehr machine, you need to sign out with a full deactivation on one of the two machines in use.

Trouble with the creative cloud desktop sync software

I've been using the creative cloud for about 6 months now and haven't had a single problem, though after this morning when I returned home from school my software is no longer able to connect to my cloud to sync files to and from the cloud. Is there an outage or a known issue with the software? I repeatedly get "cannot connect to the cloud" when I disable and re-enable syncing.

Please restart your computer and then try to work with Creative Cloud Connection to sync the data.
If you are still not able to use it download the update version AAM from below given path then try.

Rename OOBE folder with OOBEOLD ( Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder )

Remove Adobe application Manager/Adobe creative cloud .

Unless the Digital 5500 speaker set has analog inputs it can't be used with the DDTS-100. You must connect the DDTS-100 to a speaker system through the analog outputs either from the main unit or the switchbox. I have not heard of any cables to convert analog audio into digital form so digital speakers can understand and play it.
The best speaker system? I have absolutely no idea dude. You must be the judge of that, if it is you who are going to listen to it. I like my S750 system but that is me. You have to read loads of info and reviews and preferably listen to them in a store if you can.

Do I have to pay for Photoshop Touch with the Creative Cloud?

I have subscribed to the Creative Cloud services and now I would like to download the available Touch apps, including Photoshop touch. Since I already pay for a subscription, do I also have to pay for the apps in the app store or is there a way around that by entering my Adobe ID or info?

No.
Adobe software only works on Windows, Mac OS X and mobile apps work on iOS and some Android.
Chromebooks run the Chrome Operating System. Software must be specially written for it. Few if any of the major apps e.g. Adobe software are available for Chrome OS.
Chromebook software must be downloaded from the Google Chrome Web Store. That's part of what makes Chromebooks so cheap - limited apps.
