A white box appears in the middle of screen and locks me out of Firefox
Every time I open Firefox this white box with a gray bar appears in the exact middle of the screen with no text. There is also a box that can be checked or unchecked. If I click on the gray bar or the question mark, nothing happens, and I cannot make it go away. I have attached a screen shot of it. Please note that when I did the screen shot, Firefox was open, and I could see the web page behind it, although only the box was captured in the screen shot. I am able to run Firefox in safe mode, and I already turned off the hardware acceleration, but that has not solved my problem. I have restarted my computer, but that also has not helped. I tried the "automatically add" button below to add the troubleshooting information, but it didn't work, probably because I am using IE right now. If I could use Firefox, I would not be posting this message. Obviously, the manual steps also failed.
I do like the toolbar, but as soon as I installed that new version, that pesky box popped up again! So, I have once again disabled it. I guess I'll just have to wait for future versions of Firefox and/or AOL toolbar to sort this all out. Thanks again for your help!

Mac won't boot, Grey bar appearing at the bottom of Apple Logo then shuts down
Hi,
I'm using a Late-2011 Macbook Pro and it is running on OS X Mavericks. One day, my laptop just shut itself down and when I turn it on, it won't boot. It just gives me a grey progress bar under the apple logo then shuts down. I tried accessing the DU and tried verifying and repairing the disk but I am unable to copy my files to another drive. It gives me an input/output error. I am not very tech savvy and I badly need my files. Please help!
Thanks in advance.Startup - Gray, Blue or White screen at boot, w/spinner/progress bar

How do i get rid of the message that keeps popping up that says "google talk authentication failed"????
funwidowlady,
Good afternoon! I'm glad I can be here to help with this error. In the device this application is identified only as 'Talk', so that be more familiar to you. First I recommend opening the 'Market' app on your phone, then Menu>My Apps to see if this application requires an update. It will display a list on top of all applications that need to be updated. If nothing exists, tap 'Home' and go into 'Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Talk, then tap 'Clear Cache' and 'Clear Data' to remove the history of that application and stop the notifications. The app will remain on your phone for future use, if you desire to take advantage of it. Read more about Google Talk here
Thank you!

Update software and now all of a sudden Nano useless!!
My Nano was working perfectly. I updated the lastest software per the new itunes software suggestion and all of a sudden my nano does not even get close to working. It wiped all my memory from the ipod and now itunes doesn't even recognise the ipod and windows presents the message "the file or directory /ipod_Control/itunes is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility"
I am so fustrated by my 3rd (yes third time) nano that I don't know what to do. Please, PLease Help!!!I have a 30GB ipod, just loaded latest ipod software 7 onto my laptop and then onto my ipod now ipod useless. Folder with exclamation point appears in window. When I connect it to my computer it tells me that the ipod is corrupted and needs to be restored to factory settings. When I click restore my ipod disappears from the LH screen and the update process stops almost immediately once I click restore. I have removed all ipod software from my computer and then reinstalled 7 and still no change....not really sure what I can do next or if is futile and time to purchase a new one???? Please Help!!
Thanks much, Malteezgrl -

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
How do I move the keyboard from the middle of my screen?
All of a sudden, the virtual keyboard on my iPhone now appears in the middle of my screen (instead of the bottom) when I call it up in the search function or the App Store. In the App Store, the keyboard now blocks the submit button for my password. I think I hit something to cause the location to change but am not sure how to change it back.
There is a key on the iPad keyboard to move where it is positioned.
It is the very bottom right key, image of a keyboard with an arrow. You can press and hold it and it will give you the option to dock it back where you're used to it. -

I did not use my computer yesterday, and now all of a sudden, Firework does not open at all after clicking on its icon or starting as a program. I did not download any upgrades or anything else, and I have Norton 360 version 3. I can open Internet Explorer, but that's not my default browser, so I have no problem with the Internet connection.
What could be the problem, how can I restore my browser without losing my bookmarks, settings, etc?
