Do you mean that you've got an iTunes gift card, and if so why can't you use it ? All iTunes gift cards are country-specific, they can only be redeemed and used in their country of issue - if it's a US gift card then are you in the US with a US billing address on your account ? Or have you managed to redeem it but are having problems buying things ?

I'm exhausted of trying to find a solution to a problem created by Apple. I have moved to icloud following all your instructions and now I can not use my mobile me e-mail address. I have contacted Apple Technical Support in Spain and I was sent an e-mail saying that I have to call a phone number and when I call it is always an answering machine who answers that says that I have to pay 50€ for a consultation or wait for 10 minutes. When I have made the consultation it was never mentioned that I have to pay 50€ for a phone consultation. If I don't want to wait I have to pay for the Apple Tecnical Support which cost 250 €, this was not mentioned in the technical support page.
Can somebody let me know how can I contact Apple in another way in order to talk with a human being or chat directly? I was very happy just using my mobileme e-mails, I didn't need any clouds and I was force by Apple to registered if I want to continue using my mobileme e-mail address.Sandra,

I downloaded the latest iOS7 to my iPad and then the screen went blank and would not respond. I have tried pressing the two buttons together and briefly get the Apple logo but still can not restart, the logo disappears. I have tried connecting to my iMac to restore the iPad but the device does not show up (I have an old iMac). What else can I do?
You need to be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 at the very least in order to sync your iPad with iTunes so you could update your Mac, if it can be updated, and if you care to do so.
If that's not an option, you will have to find someone that can restore the device for you with their computer running iTunes or make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them to restore the device for you.
I hope that you have an iCloud backup, because you will lose everything on the device when it is restored.

Also, I would not give up on the reset technique....holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears. It takes about 10-15 seconds and sometimes just a little longer to get the logo to appear. -

I am trying to restore my Apple TV because when updating, it showed the USB cable point an arrow to the iTunes app icon. I call the apple support team and they said to connect the micro usb cable to my computer. But iTunes isn't showing the devices screen so I cannot do anything. Maybe it's the cable or something. Help.
Have you tried the following:
Disconnect the HDMI, power and USB cables
Wait for 10 seconds
Reconnect the USB cable
Immediately hold the menu and play buttons on the remote for 15 seconds
Apple TV 2 should now start flashing the LED wildly and appear in iTunes with the restore button.
If it still doesn’t show up, maybe it's your cable (even if it works just fine with other devices). Sometimes you need to wiggle the USB plug or put a little weight on it in order to have a reliable connection. Or just try another cable if you have one, sometimes that helps too.
If that still doesn't work, try the above but add the power cord after step 3 (and before step 4).
@Hecumi: this goes for your 2nd gen Apple TV as well, incl. the last tip concerning the power cord.

I want to use my husband's contact number on his iPad so that we can iMessage and especially FaceTime, but we share the same Apple ID. This works fine on our phones, why can't we have the option to use his contact number on his iPad the same way? This iPad can only be used with WiFi (contrary to what we were told upon purchasing it...). Anyone have any helpful advice??
This is not an area where I have any expertise, but you may want to consider using separate Apple IDs and using the recently released Family Sharing capabilities which still allow you to share your music and apps.
