Beware this is a common phishing scam: you get an authentic-looking email saying your account has been charged - usually a significant amount of money, to get your attention - and "click here" to confirm. Don't do that.
Check your purchase history as King_Penguin wrote. If the purchase does not appear, delete the email and forget about it.

I have Photoshop CS, purchased many years ago for a LOT of money. Other day went to use it, got msg. "computer configuration changed, need to re-activate. Tried that for days, didn't work. Cannot call ANYONE to find out problem. Am not very computer literate, so don't understand what that means. LOVE the CS program and know how to use it, so don't want to have to learn something new. Don't know what to do. Went to all the big name stores and no one can tell me anything, like what happened to CS or what is replacing it that is the same as CS. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

When I purchased my new iMAC 21.5-inch, Mid 2011 I didn't recieve any program/system CD's. If I want to reload a app how would I do it? On my other Mac's I always had system disc's etc.
Thank youI think Apple has reacted to a perceived---or actual---"dumbing down" of the user base. When new Macs shipped with disks, all too many people either blindly threw the disks away of lost them. There are posts all over these forums from people who no longer have their install/restore disks. Some can no longer get proper replacement disks becsue their computer is too old and Apple no longer has a stock of that model's disk.
This is not unique to Apple. PC makers are doing the same thing--providing a restore function internally. -

I have an iPod nano and an iTouch. I used to buy songs off of my iTunes account on my iTouch, and would sync them onto my computer. I would then sync the songs on my computer onto my iPod. However, i got a new computer which complicates things. I thought that I would not have to save all my songs onto a thumbdrive on my old computer, because i would be using the same iTunes account; I thought iTunes would be able to pull up all my songs on my account onto the new computer. This was not the case. I signed into iTunes with my account (the account is the same for iPod, iTouch, old computer), but it gave me a blank library. I then tried "transfering" my songs from my iPod onto my new computer, but it only pulled up about ten songs; most of the songs on my iPod were either from CDs or purchases on my iTouch. I need help on how to get my songs from my iPod or iTouch onto my new computer!! Any help would be great!!

I just downloaded firefox about a week ago and the first day i used it i went on to tumblr, and i logged in just fine. But now a week later i'm trying to log into my tumblr and it says it's loading but then it goes straight back to the log in page. I contacted tumblr support and they said to check if i have cookies, and i do. i'm very dissappointed that firefox won't work with tumblr.
solution doesn't work for me. i think those firefox developers are either ignorant, incompetent or simply uninterested in solving this problem which has been around at least since 2010 - we're now in 2012.
i've been loyal to firefox for 10+ years but now i gonna switch to chrome, which i have been using in parallel for a while now and which has not given me any headaches. firefox usage worldwide has been in decline since 2011 and i think this trend reflects the disconnect between the developers and their user base since the chrome-like decision was taken to go down the fast upgrade lane. google can pull that off successfully, firefox can't - sadly. -
I just purchased an iMac and upon setting it up I initiated an username and a password. Unfortunately I didn't write it down and now I'm trying to add software and the system won't let me because I forget that info. How do I reissue a new usernam and password?
Boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password.
Select ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. You’ll need to reset your keychain in the preferences of the Keychain Access application. -
I allowed PC Update Support to take over my computer (long story) When they were done I checked them out and discovered they were most likely scammers. I ran my antivirus program and changed passwords. Should I be concerned that they may have installed malware?
If you are sure they were scammers the only way to be 100% sure they left nothing behind is to wipe your system disk, do a clean install and restore from a backup you are sure was made before the scammers got onto you system.
There is no other way to be sure that thye did not leave somehting behind. In addition if you have used any credit card numbers while on the system, back account (or any other) passwords, tax returns, etc. You need to be alert fo IIdentity Theft | Consumer Information. It may be a good idea to place a fraud alert with one of the credit reporting agencies (the link above will detail what to do)
And of course change the passwords right away.

Sorry, no. If your carrier offers Blacklisting, that will make the phone unusable as a phone, in your country. Otherwise, there's not much you can do other than hope the police recover it.

Are you sure you are selecting the correct app in the App Store? Some apps have two different versions for the phone and the iPad and if you are looking at an iPhone version of the game, then it would show up as having a cost associated with it since it would be a separate app.

140MB of photos in "modified" folder, but didn't modify any of them?
I just recently upgraded to '09. I uploaded my first batch of photos the other day. It was a lot, about 1.4GB from a trip I took. I happened to be looking in the package contents for something else, but stumbled up the modified folder for the photos I had just uploaded. I had looked at them in iPhoto but had not adjusted any...not one. In fact, I don't typically edit in iPhoto, but rather in Photoshop. Anyway, the modified folder that coincides with the originals folder has 143MB worth of photos! Why? I didn't modify a single one? Projecting into the future, if this sort of behavior continues, I'll quickly start gobbling up HD space for what is, from what I can tell, no reason. Why on earth would I have 143MB's of modified photo when I hadn't modified a single one? Any clue how/why this would happen?
Yes. It's best, IMO, to upload from the camera to a folder on the Desktop where you can preview and losslessly rotate those photos needing it with the free applicationXee before importing the folder into iPhoto.
If you name the folder to identify the shoot the resulting Event in iPhoto will have the same name. This workflow will also give you the opportunity to sequentially batch rename the files to something more informative than IMG_XXX with an application likeName Mangler. I use the international date format and a brief description like this: 2009-09-06-Labor Day-001.jpg.
