I got an iphone 4. I had to update my macbook pro to Lepard just to sync. I updated to lepard. Now when I try to sync itunes does not recognize my new iphone 4 as mine and wants to erase everything I have bought using the phone.

It says everything on the phone now will be cleared in order to sync it with my existing info on the computer from my previous iphone. How can I just get everything from my current iphone 4 into itunes, basically add it to the info from my previous iphone 3g that is currently in my itunes? I dont want to lose what I have on my phone currently....I paid money for half the apps for crying out loud.

Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

I just got an iPhone 4 from Best Buy today. Everything has worked fine throughout the day until I tried adding my music on to my phone. I have an iPod Nano that has worked fine with my computer in the past, always synced smoothly when needed. When I try syncing and adding music from my iTunes to my iPhone, iTunes does not recognize my iPhone at all. It does not show up under 'Devices' in iTunes. Not possible, there is a physical switch inside the headphone port, when the headphone jack is plugged in the switch is open and disables the iPod speaker and Bluetooth networks. Cheers.

Try to bring the Hardware wizard up again. This time browse to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
... and select the usbaapl.sys file.

Copy all the content on your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes. Then go ahead and sync the iPod with your new library.

Before you restore the iPod from the backup that Dave had you make yu have to transfer stuff from the iPod to the computer since the backup does not contain the apps themselfes, music, synced phots and some other stuff. To see what a backup contains see:

well nobody bothered to give me a hint on what to do, maybe because the problems with the new version of iTunes are really a lot, there is an enormous amount of people out there that have all sort of different problems including mine so I have decided to return to the previous version which works fine and wait untill the apple people come up with a decent product ....
