I got charged $4.99 for a free app(Vocabulary HD Free) listed as free in app store..Hows that even possible
Hey,
i was browsing through my ipad. When i saw an app (Vocabulary HD Free) which was clearly listed as FREE. So i clicked on it to install it then it took me to my credit card page tellin me to confirm my credit card information as it said it was incomplete. So i filled in the required information clicked next and next thing i know is that i got a message from my bank saying i have been charged $4.99.
So what happens now? Does the developer compensates for this misunderstanding?
I have been using apple for the past 5 years now (almost) and this is the first time this has happened to me.. this is so absurd..

I can help you get your shortcut back! Here's what you'll need to do (Add a shortcut to home screen). If you accidentally deleted the application altogether, you can download it again in the Play Store. Note: If you're referring to your Market application, the name has changed to the Google Play store.

I got charge five time for apps that were free. I am frustrated because they have it setup where you can not talk to anyone. Everything is either email or a schedule date far out.
Was this when downloading them, and if so did you change (5 times) your credit card details on your iTunes account ? Each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - your card issuer should remove it within a few days or so.

Today I was charged INR 60 for downloading "FREE APP" of Kotak Mahindra Bank. There is no mention of this charge of INR 60 anywhere. Pls therefore reverse this charge immediately. When it's written FREE it should not be charged.

<edited by host>It is probably a test charge to see that the account you have established is valid. Apple will not pursue the charge and it will eventually drop out of the system. It is simply a technical matter.

I got two receipts from the same tv show I bought. How's that even possible? I clicked the 'buy season ' button the first time and there was an error so I clicked it again, and now, I apparently paid for it twice! Apple is such a rip-off!

Check your purchase history. See if it actually charged you twice.
If it did then contact itunes support for a refund.

I suggest that you contact iTunes support. http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html It could be what Lawerence said. Debit cards are not always accepted. Many say they are not any more, but those that already existed are okay. If you are getting this error declining the card, I feel this is the case for you.
