I got gipped of a song!

I just tried to download an album from the itunes music store, and when it tried downloading it, on the first song it said that it couldent download song cause the file was not where it was suppost to be on the server or something, and i should try "check for purchaced music" to download it again
so i do that, and click "check for purchased music" and it downloads the rest of the album, EXCEPT for the song that got the error!
so now i have 14/15 songs of the album and the first one that got the error has a exclamation mark and it says that itunes cannot find the file, and when i try to locate it, its nowhere to be found
and when i try checking for purchased music again, it says that all my music has been downloaded
how do i get that one song back? I didnt lose it, itunes didnt download it!

I upgraded to iTunes 11 and I got all of the songs on my families' other computers. We all share the same AppleID, that's why this happened in the first place; but, I do not want their songs on my computer, how can I disable this without deleting the songs forever or making a new AppleID?

I did not upgrade to the newest version of Itunes on my PC. I just now went to my Library were Music is listed. Under that is Movies, TV Shows, ItunesU, etc. When I opened my music list, each song was in numerical order. If I have the songs listed alphabetically, they are in numerical order. If I change my listing to album or whatever, the first song is listed in numerical order just as I showed in my original question. They are also numbered on my Playlists. I have my favorites in two different playlists. One of them was minus a song. I was able to see which one was missing because they were in numerical order. I know I could have just copied to correct one into the incorrect one and just skipped the duplicates, but I chose to do it this way.
So, the songs are listed numerically in my music folder under Library on my older version of Itunes. But, on my newer version, they are not listed numerically under music. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?????

They aren't there because you didn't transfer them.

In future do not rely upon being able to download again. The policy could be discontinued without notice and then you'd be in a mess. Even now you still can't redownload everything. Transfer properly next time and make backups.

I should mention that, for the first problem, I do make sure that my new tracks are stored in the folder where I told iTunes that my music is in. Also, when I say the cataloging of my library stops short of cataloging all my songs, I have tried leaving the computer unattended for days (my computer's sleep mode is disabled). It always stops before cataloging all of my music regardless of whether I am doing something else while iTunes is cataloging, or if I just let iTunes be the only program that's open during the cataloging process.

If not in the USA today, you have to transfer your iTunes purchases to a computer and then sync your new iPod to that computer. To transfer:

Everything on my ipod got deleted and itunes songs now have errors

i just got a new computer and when i d/l new songs they wouldnt transfer onto my ipod. also i wanted my old songs on my new itunes, so i transfered all of the songs onto itunes and they all worked perfectly, and none had the ! next to it. then when i got the option is esase all the songs from my ipod and replace it with all of the songs on my itunes i said ok figuring it was just doing the same thing and then it would be able to transfer. but it deleted everything off my ipod, put nothing back on, and made all the songs on my itunes as errors with ! next to it. PLEASE HELP .. I JUST LOST $400 WORTH OF SONGS!!

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

I got a free 15 songs code and I don't know how to use it

So I got this voucher for 15 free songs, but I can't figure out how to download them? Can someone help me

It depends what kind of voucher it was.
If it is for a specific playlist, then as soon as you redeem it those songs will automatically begin to download. In this case, you do not get to pick the songs.
If it is for a cash value, then when you redeem it adds that much credit to your account. Each time you buy a song, it will decrement your account for the price + tax.

After restore, got apps but not songs back

My daughter accidentally restored her Ipod Touch, losing all her apps and songs. I went through her purchase history and downloaded all the apps that she had paid for but when I tried to get her songs through Itunes I got a message that said the song had already been purchased, did I want to BUY it again. Not download it again, as I got when re-installing the apps, but do I want to BUY it again. If I hit yes, it would then ask me for payment information which obviously I didn't want to give. What's going on here? Why can't I get these songs again even though Itunes obviously has a record that they've already been paid for?

If you use iTunes, you should be able to restore your music library (and software) by simply resynching your Touch. I trust you're done this, since all those songs are automatically stored on iTunes. You shouldn't have to repurchase your songs.
If you don't use free iTunes, or don't back up your documents, I'm afraid this limits your options.
If you need more assistance, I hope you'll post your comments/concerns in this thread.

My computer recently crashed, got most of my songs except for about 300 becasue they are not authorized for my computer but my computer is authorized, how do i authorize those songs to put them on my playlist?

Most of my 796 songs transfered except for about 300 of them. itunes keeps telling me that these songs are not authorized for my computer but my computer is authrized so how do i authorize these 300 songs so i do not lose them? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I purchased a song and when I played it back it was incomplete. What can I do about this?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

If the item that you are missing is not listed as a past purchase, it may have been downloaded with another Apple ID or that version is no longer available from the iTunes Store at the request of the record label.
