my iPhone 4s is saying invalid sim. I was told that it was unlocked.

The iPhone needs to be unlocked officially by the carrier to which it was locked.
Ask the person who gave you the iPhone to have it unlocked by the carrier.

Contact your carrier & get a new sim...they should give you one for free.

Contact your carrier & have them reset your Voicemail. Most carriers require such, so after they reset it, just set it up again.

If those tips don't take care of it, try contacting the carrier to get another SIM.

there is no such thing as an iPhone 2G. An origional iPhone can't upgrade any higher than 3.1.3. The next model is the 3G, which can upgrade as high as 4.2.1

What you are getting is the AppleID (AppleID can be an email adress) used at the time of the purchase of this app. It is an identifiant allowing Apple to link your purchase to your account.
If you want to manage associated email, you can go at https://appleid.apple.com but the AppleID could never be modified.
I do not know if in your case, it is just that you no longer use your old email address or that you actually a 2 AppleID. In any case, you will have to remember the password related to the account used for your purchase. If you don't, just use the link above to try to retreive your password.

Okay I got the new iPhone 5c and when I tried to activate it all it says is it may take a few minutes to activate your iPhone. all its had is the spinning ball for the past day. help!!

Macafee security center is may be the culprit.
Open Macafee then: select;
Internet & Network > configure
Firewall > Advanced
Programm Permissions > scroll down to Itunes
Highlight (click on)
Then Grant full access to Itunes.
APPLY then OK
When you select store from Itunes you will need to register with Itunes.
Try that or:
Disable your firewall.

Ejected SIM on my iPhone 4s, and since inserting it back in it's saying 'no SIM'

I have had an iphone 4s for the past year with no issues. Today I removed my SIM to try it in another phone (to check the other phone is clear before giving it away) and since inserting it correctly back into my iPhone 4s, it's saying 'No SIM'
I have tried restarting, I have tried aeroplane mode on and off, I have tried resetting network settings... nothing's working.
It seems so odd as I haven't actually done anything apart from removing and replacing the SIM! (I've been on iOS 7.0.4 for weeks)

HT204053 I let my friend put his ipod on my itunes. I got a new iphone 5 and when i try to update apps,i put in my current apple id and then it asks for his apple id password, which i dont know and i want to get rid of his.

When i try to update my apps, it asks me to put in my password for apple id. I put in my password but then it asks for my friends password for his itunes, because i let him sync his ipod on my itunes. How do i remove his account off my itunes where i dont have to put in his password.

Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

Try rebooting the computer, try holding both the home button and sleep button on phone until apple logo appears and then let go and wait for phone to start. Try using a different USB cable and/USB port
