I got JRE can't find problem in oracle81701 on linux

Dear all:
I download oracle81701 for linux from otn.but after setup environment(include blackdown's jre and IBM's jre),i still got the jre can't find after run ./runinstaller
.is anyone can give me a hand~~thanks~~

I have the same prob under Linux 7.1.BUT if before run ./runInstaller you type the cmd unset LANG to remove $LANG from environnement It's run fine. Note I install from the CD's of Oracle.

Help! - JRE can't find classes that use inner classes!

Whenever I try to launch an app using the JRE, if the class was built with an inner class definition, the JRE says it can't find the class.
For instance:
I created a class called GUI, which contains anonymous inner class definitions for the button handlers: addActionListener(new ActionListener()){, etc.
When I compile this class I get GUI.class and GUI$1.class
When I try to launch this using the JRE:
jre -cp c:\progra~1\myApps GUI
The JRE spits out
'Class not found: GUI'
BUT if I go back and remove the action handlers so that the only compiled class file is GUI.class (not GUI$1.class) then the JRE can find the class no problem.
What in the good Lord's name is going on here?

Thanks for the response. Got the 1.2.2 version of the JRE, where I guess you no longer invoke jre.exe (no such file exists) but java.exe instead (not well documented).
Also, the newer version of the JRE has no problems locating classes, so I guess I'm OK.

Laserjet 2200d used to work fine; now red light on and can't find problem

I have a Laserjet 2200d. It worked fine for years. Suddenly, one day it just stopped working. The red emergency light is on. I can't find any problem. I've tried the usual, like paper jam and shaking cartridge. I recently found a user forum that suggested taking the whole machine apart and adding a drop of oil to the motor shaft in the circuit board of the laser scanner assembly. I even tried that. Didn't make a difference. Anything else I should try before tossing the printer? An old cartridge shouldn't make printer stop, should it? I don't want to buy a new cartridge or spend money on this printer unless I know I can get printer to work.

Two visits from engineers can't find problem, BT d...

Would really appreciate any help with this. Problem has been going on a while. Internet speed two mths ago dropped to half a meg. (Am meant to get 11Mb). The problem was 24hrs a day unuseable speed back then.. BT engineers came out about a month ago and changed the router, renewed the wall socket and microfilter, checked everything and replaced equipment at the exchange. Said they couldn't find the fault but just as they were about to give up, speed started coming through. After they left, speed increased to around 7MB but, every night at around 9.30ish, speed dropped to half a Meg again and internet unuseable. Kept a log and this happens every single night between 9.30 and 10pm. BT engineers came out again last Friday and could not find fault. They replaced the line to the Exchange and said everything physical that can be done has been done. It didn't make any difference.
All weekend, speed drops to around half MB and unuseable after 9.30ish. This happens immediately, I can be watching Iplayer and then, bang, no internet. Computer is high performance, about one month old and has been restored to factory settings just in case. There is nothing in the house that turns on or is interfering with the broadband at that time.
There is one master socket in the house which the line is connected to. Old dead sockets upstairs from prev tenants. Line was put in when I moved in. There are no other connections to my line.
And then, tonight, internet speed was down at 6.30pm. Managed to run bt speed test which said:

I could not do third test because the hub won't accept the password which is written on it but its a new hub so I don't think it is the problem.
Engineer said keep ringing the callcentre and calling engineers out again but they don't know whats going on. He said it could be 'rain' on the line from someones faulty equipment but its rare. Worried now the whole thing is going down again because speed dropped so early this evening.. would switching providers solve the problem? but then if its still a BT line, how could it? Seriously tearing my hair out about it all. Call centre want me to check line all the time but as I can't get on the internet when it happens, all a bit pointless. Line has been monitored and no feedback so i assume they think its ok. Please help.

sounds like you got the correct thing, I use the plusnet one but any one really does.

JRE can�t find the .class file

I have installed JRE 1.3 on a win98 running Computer. When i execute "jre anforderung.class -classpath C:\test\" in MS-Dos then the following Problem occurs : Cannot find File anforderung.class. I already Typed it in DOS anford~5.cla but the same thing happened. I renamed it into test.class, but always the same Error. What can i do?
By the way, i came to this idea after i spend many hours to make my applet run in Netscape. The applet uses mySQL-Database Connection, and i�m at end with my ideas and strength. Maybe someone can tell me where i can find professional Help with my always Suffering in making my java-applets run. My last idea is to transform my files into an application, but... takes time. So Please HELP.

That doesn�t work, but i found out I have to do this by appletviewer.exe and start the index.html.

Permissions (or something) got broken, can't find a fix

I was trying to install the printer driver for my Samsung printer that I got from Samsung's website some time ago. I first tried to install it from user account using sudo, but noticed that it changed ownership and permissions for /lib64, /etc and /usr. I then tried to install it from the root account, and noticed that it changed the permissions for the same folders again (though it kept ownerships as root:root). I tried to change everything back, but I must have missed something because I can no longer log into my user account, nor run any commands from areas that are logged in already.
I can still log in as root. When I try "su user", I get the error "su: /bin/bash: Permission denied"
I've installed the Samsung driver on two other Linux machines, one Arch and one Ubuntu, and never had problems like this before. Can anyone help me clear up this problem?

Podcast Rejected - Can't find problem

Just podsafe music.

Cor-el: I already saw the pages about Firefox crashes and already read through the forums; I definitely might have missed something, but I did read through all of it already and tried the solutions there before posting here...
Mad Person: About:Crashes just shows the submitted crash reports and report IDs I've listed above, with their date and time. That's it. The Report IDs are as I listed above.. none of them start with "bp-xxxx".... I disabled hardward acceleration as you recommended; I've tried it before, but firefox crashed again so I just turned it back on, but I've made lots of changes since, so who knows - I'll keep it permanently off now and see if it helps this time.
Otherwise, I'm still stuck. Even my Report IDs are weird, due to the throttling problem apparently!? Yikes! ;)

You can set the trace level in the SAP/Java Gui dynamically :
Call transaction SMICM
Choose the menu Goto → Trace Level → Set
In the pop-up window, set the desired level (0,1,2,3)
To switch on an /nSMICM or ICM HTTP trace via command line you should go to
usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\exe directory and run the icmon program with the following command:
icmon◦◦pf=\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\profile\<SID>_<instance_name>_<HOST>
where you fill in the SID, instance name and host corresponding to your system.
The icmon program is interactive and to increase trace level you must write
"+" and pres enter.To quit you must write "q" and press enter.
The trace will be written◦to the following file: usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\work\dev_icm
