I got my Iphone Stolen. Way to retrieve it?
I was abroad when my IPhone 5 got stolen I didn't have Find my IPhone Enabled at the time it happened. I blocked the Handset immediately afterward. I was told by my Mobile Operator that the Police Station keep all high end devices to track the handset through the IMEI number Is this right?

Hello, i have a question on my iphone 4s. I went to a party a few days ago and it had gotten stolen. The next day my friend said that he had found it and it was jaibroken? The phone was on 1 % when i had recieved it. It then died and i plugged it in to the charger. When i plugged it in the apple logo appeared as if it was starting but, it wasnt. The apple logo appeared for about ten seconds and then the screen went black. After that, the connect to itunes screen popped up and will not go away. So now when i take it off of the charger the screen just stays black and wont turn on? I tried connecting it to itunes and restoring it. But it wont even show my phone any more on the side of itunes. I tried restoring it and an error had occured (2001). I have looked up on youtube how to fix this problem and non of them have helped or worked. Its my only phone and i cant even text my girlfriend which bothers me terribly!! Please help me ASAP!!

Apple is not law enforcement and does not block or deactivate devices.
Even if they did, it would require contacting Apple instead of posting to these user to user technical support forums. -
do all apps work properly even if its an older model?

Any app that requires ios 4.3 or later will not work. -

I recently got my iphone stolen, i had left it in a stall in a movie theater and came back about 20 minutes later to find it gone, we got it tracked on my friends phone and had the police search for it in where it said it was, he couldn't find it because it said it was located in the woods behind houses in a neighborhood.. basically, we couldn't find it and it still says it is there..

I just got the iPhone 5 and took it on a trip and took a bunch of photos on it. I just came home and hooked it up to my Mac for the first time and hit restore. All of my trip pictures disappeared. Is there any way I can retrieve them?
Did you by chance have photo stream turned on? If so then they might be there. When you restored your phone it deleted everything and they will be unretreivable from your computer.

My brother got his iphone 4s stolen a week or two ago, he didnt have the iphone finder installed at the time. The phone company just gave him a new phone progammed with the same number is there any way of tracking his old phone? If this is relevant whenever i call him and hes on the phone the phone connects to someone else answering machine.
IF he set up find my ip[hone on the ihone itself BEFORE it was stolen ( there is no app, it is a setting) AND it is on AND it has jot been restored, then you may be able to track it using icloud/find my iphone.
Otherwise, there is no way to track it. -
My music files etc were all located on my old laptop which was stolen. I have just plugged my iphone in to my new computer and it has deleted all my files. Has anybody got any ideas on how to retrieve the files?

Connect the iPod to your PC. If iTunes starts syncing (ie erasing) your music automatically, hit the X in the upper right hand corner of iTunes display, to the left of the search box, to stop it.
In Control Panel, Portable Media Devices, double-click your iPod.
In the Tools menu -> Options, in the View Tab, check "Show hidden files and folders."
Navigate to the Music folder. On my 'pod, the full path is
Portable Media Devices\NAME of IPOD (F:)\iPod_Control\Music
Select all the music folders, and drag and drop them into a folder on your hard drive, or directly into iTunes.
And you're done! The iPod music folder structure is strange and inexplicable, but once you move your files into iTunes you can set it to automatically organize your folder by artist and album to clean that up. (To do this, in iTunes Edit menu, choose Preferences and in the Advanced tab, check "Keep iTunes Music Folder organized."

i have the serial number if this is any good to use to block it..I did actually find the imei number and serial number through Itunes Backup, it was in there. You go into Itunes, then Preferences, Device and it is in there.. Thank you for your help.

I had an iPhone 4 that got stolen and just got a new one, so after I had taken important photos I plugged the phone into iTunes and it accidentally restored to my old iPhone data and uploaded all that information, deleting the new photos before I had a chance to back them up.
