I got my Ipod (3rd Gen) screen fixed, but now it wont turn on!

I connected it to my computer to go to Itunes, but It only shows the "Z" charge sign and wont turn on. I'm charging it, and it still is not turning on! Its the 3rd Generation, is their something wrong with the screen still? Or did they mess up the internal stuff?

It was fine when I turned it in, and ive been charging it in for a while now and It only shows the charging sign for a few seconds when I PLUG THE CHARGER IN, then it doesnt appear.

    First dry the iPod.

    Try:

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I forgot my password for my ipod and tried to restore it now it wont turn on. what do i do?

i forgot my password for my ipod and tried to restore it now it wont turn on. not sure what to do. HELP?

The first way you can connect the iPod to the computer it was originally configured on, and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. You then can go into the preferences and turn off the lock. If you don’t have access to the original computer or it just does not work, you can jump to the second method. The best fix for any iPod problem is the classic “restore your iPod to factory settings.” That this will erase all data on your iPod and take you back to day one, but you can just add your music and data back to iPod from iTunes. This is the true benefit of the iPod / iTunes relationship.

    Try:

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:

  • I got my iphone 4s front screen fixed and now it is overheating and the reciver and speakers are not working.  How can i see if they connected right?

    Could i repair this myself?

Well, since you had it serviced by a 3rd party, you will either have to find a competent repair shop or fix it yourself. Apple won't touch it.
I'd take it back to whoever "fixed" the screen to begin with and tell them to do it right.

  • Ipod nano wasnt disconnected properly and now it wont turn on... :{

The title basically says it all. The reason why i didnt disconnect it properly was because it took longer than usual to disconnect and then my computer froze up on me. So i turned it off, and when i finally took my ipod out, it wouldnt turn on...
the last time i did that the only thing that happened was that all my music disappeared...sometimes when i plug in my ipod to a computer it says that it cant be disconnected because of an unknown error...

    YAY!!!!
    lol.
after not working for about 2 1/2 days it suddenly started working again...
anyways if i get one more problem i swear im shipping it to apple

  • I recently purchased Windows 8 laptop and installed Office 2013. I then installed iTunes. After moving all my music to the new PC, I got iTunes to import it and sync it to my iPod (3rd gen).  However, I cannot get iTunes to sync my Outlook Contacts

I recently purchased a Windows 8 laptop and istalled Office 2013.  I then installed iTunes. After moving all my music to my new PC I got iTunes to import it, and then synced it to my iPod (3rd gen.) However, I cannot get iTunes to sync my Outlook Calendar or Contacts with my iPod.  When I try it crashes Outlook.  iTunes continues to try to sync, but when it finishes my Calendar and Contents are empty (ERASED!).  I have de-installed and re-installed iTunes (according to Apple's instructions), repaired Office 2013 and Outlook, scanned for viruses (etc), cleaned out temp folders, defragmented, etc., etc., etc. Has anyone seen this before, and does anyone know houw to fix it?  (HELP!)

Well, I guess I have to download some other software to make my apple product work. Really great stuff you guys sell. I will never buy another apple product. My Iphone, Ipod and Itunes are junk

  • IPod 3rd Gen Backups?

My close to 1-year iPod just "died" a few moments ago in a sense that I was just using my apps as I normally would and the screen just dimmed. I tried syncing, charging, and turning it back on but none of which proved successful so I checked my warranty and I'm still clear to get a replacement. This happened with my brother's iPod (3rd Gen as well) a couple of weeks back as well and we simply got his replaced but he pretty much set up everything again.
Now my main concern here is:
What about all my data on my iPod? I'm aware that whenever I sync there is a backup but I'm curious if it also backs up information like notes and certain application data since I have a lot of important information typed up. Also, how will I transfer the old data onto a new iPod if the backup does contain the above?

    Hello heavenly3clipse,
See this article for information about what kinds of data is stored in your iPod's backup.
[iPhone and iPod touch: About backups|http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766]
When you receive the replacement, simply restore the iPod from the backup. See this article for more information.
