I got my macbook back from apple store and now it wont start

I took my macbook to the Apple store to get keyboard replaced. Now, I can't get it to boot up past the Apple screen with the spinning dial beneath it. I there anything I can do at home or should I take it back? More importantly, is this a fix I'm going to have to pay for because my computer is no longer covered by warranty?

HI. Try botting up your Macbook using the install disk (insert the install disc and press C). On the menu bar, click on disk utility and try repairing the disk and disk permissions.

Thank you for providing the details of the burning issue you are experiencing. I found some resources that I think might help:
First, I recommend resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac (I wasn't sure if you had a removable battery or a built in battery, so I listed the steps for both):

Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your ownNote: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

No audio in quicktime after getting MacBook back from Apple Store

Since getting my MacBook back from the shop (they claim it was a mechanical HD failure but it seems more likely the crash was caused by the 10.4.11 update), Quicktime movies play with video, but no sound. I've tried going into the MIDI Audio utility, but all I see is "Audio output not supported." The text is grey and I can't do anything.
Anyone have any ideas?

I got my imac back from apple... now... whats this???

Hey there everyone.. Thanks for all of your help everyone who helped me figure out what was wrong with my imac. i had the logic board replaced along with the power supply. yay 999.65 worth of work for free thanks to the repair extension! Now i have an issue that i am wondering if it is normal?? System specifications: Its 20 Inch iMac g5. 2.0 ghz 1.5 gigs of ram, with a 250 gb hard drive. obviously with a new logic board and power supply. Its working beautifully!!! No Crashes since i got it back! But.... ...... ..... ..... Now ok, I play world of warcraft a lot.. Now after playing it for say.... 10 minutes.. My fans come on.. And boy.. they are kinda noisy!! holy cow.. Brrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm geez.. an like.. if im encoding a DVD.. or browsing the net looking a videos.. Brrrrrrmmmmmmm Monatone drone there.. and even after i quit the game etc... quit burning.. etc.. not fore sure how long it keeps going.. but a while. CPU 4158 rpms, System, 4000 RPM's, Hard Drive 5374 rpm's... does this seem like too much? or is this about normal.. i dont want to complain.. but.. its kind of annoying ya know? Anyone else have the same experiences?? Please let me know asap.. Thanks,

Got my macbook back from Heasync Logic board and now...

I just got my macbook back after 11 days (and i have procare). I brought it in to apple to get fixed because i, like the rest of the macbook using population, was suffering from the random shutdowns... well, i picked it up today... the machine was screaming (as in good) it passed the AHT with flying colors before i left the store... well, i just got home and performed the QT and iTunes updates that i missed while it was at depot and after the required restart... a beautiful stream of colorful lines started dripping down my screen (its the logic board i know) I am not questioning what my current problem is... what my question to all of you who have received your macbooks back after having the MLB and Heatsink replaced....
How many of you have had your NEW logic boards go within a couple days of getting your machine back?

how does one reset the resolution?
system preferences>displays>Display tab
choose an alternate resolution, and then reset it back to the original, and restart the computer
i mention this because apparantly its a flaw in the logic board that is fixed by doing this, its helped others out (search a couple pages deep and youll find more talk about the lines on the screen)

By blocked, do you mean froze, or locked up?

Legality aside (I'm not a lawyer and have no opinion on the matter) in order to make a purchase of an iPhone 5 you would need to travel to a country where they are for sale and purchase it there. Be sure to get one that is officially unlocked or you would not be able to use it with your cell carrier. Be sure that your carrier supports use of the iPhone before you buy. Also note that the warranty of the iPhone is only valid in the country of purchase.
Appe does not ship outside of the countries where it sells the phones.

Thanks for the feedback. Now, before installing in, put a copy some place safe and you won't have to download it again, wasting bandwidth, time, and electricity. Why? Because the installer blows itself away during the installation—IMO, a braindead delivery system, copied from their iOS world, but totally unsuitable for computers.

You may or may not already have your network set up correctly, it's just that I can't tell from what you have said.
I have a main router provided by my ISP, I have several other Airport Extremes and Airport expresses connected by Ethernet, all set up to bridge the network created by the main router.
Each maker has their own settings, but bridging should be reasonably obvious. In simple terms my main router distributes IP addresses to all devices, the Airports bridge that network by passing these addresses to the devices from the main router. A base station that isn't in bridging mode will distribute its own addresses to the devices connected to it.
I don't really follow your next point.
instruction for configuration vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, the best course of action here is to refer to the manual. If everything is set up properly the addresses of everything on your network will have identical sets of numbers for the first 3 of 4 groups of numbers that make up an address, the last set must always be different. I think the part you are referring to with your DD-WRT is the option to have Ethernet and wifi bridged or not.
Some routers may be easier to configure than others, but generally speaking they should all work with the Apple TV. 5Ghz is less likely to suffer interference but it is much more likely to be blocked by solid objects, it may or may not be an advantage.
