I got note saying "Are you sure you want to sync books? All existing songs, movies, and TV shows on the ipod will be removed" what is wrong?
I can't get my manual i got in itunes to come up in ibooks on my ipod touch (4th Generation). I can't find any answer to what is happening here. I do have music in the ipod and don't want to lose it. I hope someone can help me with this.
I can see the manual in iTunes with my device selected and looking in Books. They are shown in grey, ( 2 manuals i have downloaded). " All Books" is selected under Sync Books. Sync Books is not selected because this is where the note above pops up if I check mark this.

From the message you are receiving, it sounds like you either, 1) haven't synced your iPhone with that computer before, 2) are using two different iTunes accounts, or 3) both. If you have purchased music or movies through your iPhone with a certain iTunes account and purchased books through iBooks on your MacBook through a different iTunes account then there is no having both on the phone.
Apple doesn't allow content from two different accounts on a device at the same time. Also if two "libraries" have been created, one on the iPhone and one on the Macbook then syncing will erase data that is not associated with that particular library.
If you are using the same iTunes account for both, then you should be able to redownload any purchased items (music, books, etc.) from iCloud, assuming you have set that up.

Oh ok. As far as music, no i have not synced music because it would load so much. I don't have movies or tv. I have never loaded ringtones before. So i am guessing they are connected to music. My apps do sync. So the best thing is to not sync and just drop them on my devices icon???
oh, if I check sync music the button for entire music library is selected how do I get Selected playlist, artists, ect. selected. Right now everthing is grayed out. -
I can no longer edit the info for my songs, movies and tv shows. This occurred since I loaded Windows 7 Pro on my C drive, and then fownloaded ITunes 10. Why will the program not allow me to access the track info to edit it?
Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

Most of the songs on my iPod Classic no longer show up on iTunes on my laptop. I deleted iTunes & installed the latest version but this did not change anything. For example on 1 playlist I have 66 songs but only 1 shows on the iTunes screen. Thanks you for any help.

I can't get my ipod touch to sync with my new computer. My old one died. I downloaded itunes and installed music but the ipod will not sync with this new computer. What do I do?
You can only sync with one iTunes library/computer. To switch:

ipod isn't recognized by computer that it was originally synced to. It hasn't been synched to any other. How can I move music on ipod to itunes on new computer without access to itunes for the ipod itself?

Alright look i have spent like 200 bucks on tv shows and movies on my itunes and now they are gone is there anyway for me to get it back because i didnt back any of it up

That's a good one.
It is up to the end user to maintain backups of their media and other important data.
If you have failed to do that, you may be out of luck.
If you are in the US and all the media was purchased from iTunes, use iCloud to redownload the content.

Regarding your broken, previously authorized computer, here's how that works:
You would authorize your new computer -- maybe you've done that already. Then you will have two computers authorized. Apple allows you to have up to five computers authorized at any time. If you get to five, you can then go to your account details in iTunes and remove all authorizations.
Bear in mind this is not saying you can synch to more tham one library. Razmee209 and gdgmacguy's comments above are correct. But if Apple only allowed you to authorize one computer at a time, then having a broken computer would mean you could no longer use your Apple ID with iTunes. -
First of all, I would have to say that getting in touch with you is a nightmare and I am not at all happy that I can't just email or live chat with someone who can help! I am not a technical person, I just want to be able to use Photoshop Elements and get on with it. I bought Photoshop Elements via Amazon some months ago and it worked fine. I then got a message that advised that the trial version would expire, which it subsequently has (I have been trawling your site for weeks and weeks trying to find an email or phone contact to get some assistance). Is there a way to play video clips that use adobe flash and if not when are you going to resolve your problem with them ? I won't buy another apple product until you do and I Know I,m not the only one.
