Try starting your computer in safe mode (hold down the shift key while restart) then try to launch Safari, if it works then click on the Safari menu and select reset Safari. Restart you MacBook Pro normally then try Safari.

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"

I have loaded the new Flash version into Firfox several times, but none of my sites recognize it when using Firefox. It works fine on all other browsers, but I would prefer to use Firfox if this problem can be solved.

I use Firefox 4.0.1 on a Mac running Os X10.5.8. When I try to run Facebook or other sites that are heavy users of Flash I get a message that the new version of Flash must be loaded. I have loaded the latest version several times, but still get the message and these sites will not run on Firefox. The sites run fine with Safari or Chrome but I prefer to use Firefox if it can be made to run these sites. Thank you for any suggestions you have to help fix this problem.

Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

Okay- this is getting more fun-- I just system restored to a
month ago because my computer froze up 5 times withing 15 minutes
earlier today. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox because I

Lion mountain newest update :I loos the internet connection, but the network shows connected. And IPhone, IPad stay connected and work. Only the MacBook Pro , which worked perfectly before with Lion unless I updated to Mountain. I have tried everything.

I have a MacBook Pro, Early 2011, 2 GHz Intel Core i7 which I udated some days ago with Lion Mountain 10.8.2. Before it worked just perfect. Now, since the update, I loos the internet connection after a wile, (at the beginning every 20 sec, now up to 4 hours) even that the sign of the WiFi network connection shows to be perfectly connected.
My other divices like IPhone, IPad stay connected and work. The rooter is new and cannot be the problem. I tried nearly everything I found on the bloggs, but nothing helped actually. It must be a softwear problem on Lion Mountain, what can I do?

I FINALLY SOLVED THIS ISSUE!!!!
New routers have "mixed" modes for your network; this means that it will automatically choose the best option between wireless-B, wireless-G and wireless-N network modes. I used to experience this issue using the 2.4 GHz. mixed mode wireless network.
Thankfully, my router can create 2 networks: a 2.4 GHz. network and a 5 GHz. network.
When I randomly changed this value to "use only wireless-B and wireless-G" trying to fix an issue with a wi-fi expander, the iMac wi-fi issue dissapeared! I tried it with wireless-N only, but it didn't work.
So, finally, I have a 2.4 GHz network with only wireless-B and wireless-G modes which works PERFECT with the iMac, and a 5 GHz. network with a mixed* wireless mode for everything else mode.
*PD: by "mixed" mode it means that the router will automatically choose between B, G and N network modes as it fits better.

I love Safari...But why doesn't it work with MySpace???

For some reason MySpace is the only site I always have problems viewing images. On my home screen, 90% of my friends pictures all come as the blue box with the question mark. When I look at someone's page, almost all user pictures are blue boxes with question marks. Whenever I browse for users...again, almost every single picture comes up as a blue box with a question mark!
Seriously, what gives? Every other site works perfectly and this problem with Safari and MySpace is the one thorn in otherwise superb browser.
I've tried, emptying the cache, deleting cookies, clearing history...I've even Reset Safari multiple times...Still, even with the new update...Safari and MySpace images do not work!
Can someone please help me shed some light on the situation...Cause it seems not many other people are having this problem. Thanks in advance.

It probably says more about MySpace than Safari but anyway you could try the latest nightly build of Safari's Webkit web browser engine. I always use this now and find it offers greater all round performance.

In case you don't know, you just run the webkit application instead of Safari but in use it will seem no different than Safari because all you're doing is running an updated version of the rendering engine in Safari. Safari 3.1 remains untouched and you can switch back to that if you wish.

Firefox won't display a web page. It starts, I see it in Task manager but it doesn't do anything. It used to work just fine. I had troubkle with my service provider, they got the net to work again but firefox doesn't do anything. Explorer works.

I uninstalled firefox and re-installed it from download. No difference. When I boot my computer, the internet doesn't start automatically anymore. I have to go into network manager and start it myself. Don't know why. My on-line windows help won't connect to the net either.

Just got ios7 on iPhone but calendar doesn't list events like in ios6. You need to tap the date to see what is listed on the calendar . Can that be changed ?

Don't like calendar set up with IOS7. Can't see list of actual events on calendar as was the case with IOS6. If you have a dental appointment in October but can't remember the day ,you need to tap each day to see what us on whereas before you could just scroll down the dates showing a list what is on. Wish that could be organized as before. Is there a way to set it up as in ios6? Otherwise ios7 looks great .

Im not going to be much help because I don't know of anything else to besides take it somewhere that fixes electronics and see if they can get it off some how maybe if you take it to an apple store they can do something to get your information.

I am downloading Firefox but it does not engage. i had a prior version which worked fine but the new version is not even showing a home page.

Sounds like there might be an issue with an application that might be causing these issues. The reason I say that is, when the phone is in Safe Mode you are able to access the Settings screens with no issues. While in Safe Mode that does block all 3rd party applications from running on the phone. I would suggest on trying to back up the device and perform a factory reset: http://spr.ly/6-182Vuo (you would want to make sure to uncheck Automatic Restore in step 3). Once the reset is complete try to see if you can get into Settings. Then, I would recommend on adding 3rd party applications back on to the device one by one to see if we can find what app might be causing this issue. My mouse wheel only brings the page closer up in Flash Player, doesn't make it smaller when using Firefox Browser. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player. What do I need to do ? It works fine with IE 8.

My internet is Internet Satelite 1.5 MB. speed. Everything else with the Flash Player seems to work fine except the wheel. But the mouse wheel works fine everywhere else.

So what Flash Player version do you have currently installed?
