I got stuck in the 5 steps program to get acces to creative cloud

I have bought de teachers student version and registered with the right sign in code. Then the system broke sort of down because Adobe couldn't verify my creditcard info so for billing next year. I got to my account, made it work but still I don't seem to get further in the steps. (Last step is to install or work with creative cloud). I already had a chatsession. De support guy advised me to install creative cloud and that I would probably find it in programs on my system (Imac). Now I'm back home and trying to get it done... but no way... nothing like creative cloud on my machine. Does anyone know what to do? I'm not a tech brain at all, so maybe it is very simple???? Thanks for any reaction!

Thanks a lot! I now have creative cloud and try to install some of the programs that I need... it's slow very very slow, but that is because of my satelite internet. But... one other thing... I got the trialversion of Illustrator.. That's not what I payed for... How do I respond to this, any clues? I'm busy with this whole thing since tuesday and getting frustrated..

I wanted to update my iPad 2 from 4.3 to the latest update but I got stuck in the restoring step. I couldn't restore the iPad.
The error message"The iPad cannot be restored at this time because the iPad software update server couldn't be contacted or is temprorily unavailable"

    Hello someone9,
There are a few possible causes for this issue, sometimes it is related to Security Software, other times it is related to the internet connection. Let's follow the steps below:
iOS: Resolving update and restore alert messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275
Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com
Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
    - Install the latest version of iTunes.
    - Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
    - Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
    - Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
    - If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

I believe that 10.6.8 does not meet the system requirments for most applications.  Here are links to a few popular applications where you can compare the system requirements versus your system.

  • I accidently downloaded something that made my webcam flash on spuradically even once i deleted it. when i restarted my computer it got stuck at the white loading screen with the grey apple and wont go past there..what is wrong? will applecare cover this?

i accidently downloaded something that made my webcam flash on spuradically even once i deleted it. when i restarted my computer it got stuck at the white loading screen with the grey apple and wont go past there..what is wrong? will applecare cover this?  my computer also slowed down drastically before it stopped working..thanks! HELP PLEASE!

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a boot failure is to secure your data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since your last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
         a. Boot into the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
    b. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    c. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to boot, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can boot now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
If you've booted from an external storage device, make sure that your internal boot volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
    Step 3
Boot in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you boot in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, your boot volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 5.
If you can boot and log in now, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the boot process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 4
Sometimes a boot failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 5
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select your startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then reboot as usual.
    Step 6
Reinstall the OS. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 7
Repeat Step 6, but this time erase the boot volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer your data from a Time Machine or other backup.
    Step 8
This step applies only to older Macs (not current models) that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery. Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a gray screen at boot. Typically the boot failure will be preceded by loss of the startup disk and system clock settings. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
    Step 9
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested. If you can't get to an Apple Store, go to another authorized service provider.

Hello. My iphone 4 got stuck on the itunes logo. I had to restore it and have lost everything. Is there anything I can do to get my photos back?

Not easily, the recovery mode erases the device, but you can see if any of these data recovery tools may work: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-1689

  • Dear all, I have a MacBook Pro bought in April 2011. Last April, it got stuck while the wheel was spinning and I had to force it shut. That cost me my hard drive. Now, it's stuck again. I tried esc, cmd tab, moving the trackpad on the apple, but no. HELP!

Dear all, I have a MacBook Pro bought in April 2011. Last April, it got stuck while the wheel was spinning and I had to force it shut. That cost me my hard drive. Now, it's stuck again. I tried esc, cmd+tab, moving the trackpad on the apple, but no. HELP!

    Dear John,
thank you for your prompt reply. After I sent the email, I left the wheel spinning to see if it would eventually stop. It didn't, but after a while the screen turned blue, so I decided to switch everything off with a forced shut-down. I could not restart with the OS DVDs because I am currently away from home, but fortunately everything was more or less fine after restarting. It then got stuck again, I forced it shut again, restarted again, and now it seem to work but I won't overdo it and will switch off smoothly after writing this (unless it gets stuck again). Last April I have replaced the HD, so it's now just under 6 months old. And, of course, since the crash occurred when I was abroad and had backed up just before I left, I have lost only a few days' work. Still, and I know this will make me hugely unpopular here, with my 5 previous laptops running on MS Windows I never had a problem. Which does not mean I loved the OS, or I would not have switched to Mac.
Anyway, and this is the main reason for this message, thank you very much again for your speedy intervention.
    Claudia

  • I'm trying to update my daughter's Ipad2 to the new IOS 8 and it's got stuck on the connect to ITunes display.  We don't have a computer to connect it to and it's never been connected to one.  How do I get past this?

You can try a soft-reset of pressing and holding both the home and sleep buttons for 10 to 15 seconds so that it reboots, but you are likely to get the same screen. If it does then it will need to be connected to a computer's iTunes so that it can be reset back to factory defaults - do you have a friend with a computer with iTunes installed on it, or is there an Apple store nearby that you could try going to (if there is then preferably make a Genius Bar appointment at it, or don't go at a busy time) ?
Has she been backing up to the cloud ? If she has then she should be able to restore to that. If not then what she can redownload for free from the stores will show in the Purchased tabs in the store apps.

  • My iPad gets stucked in the last step of the sync with the computer.

When connecting the iPad to the computer the iTunes starts, reconizes my iPad and starts the sync of the iPad.
It syncs the contacts, calendars, pictures, music, etc, but in the last step (7th; "finishing Sync") it stucks and stays for ever without finishing.
I cannot load a previous backup because as soon as I connect the iPad to the computer the Sync process starts and no button is available.
I've tried to load again iTunes to start from the begining but it is still saying the same, that the Sync process is finishing and is blocked there.
    Any help?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Demo,
I've tried what you say but, if I'm doing it right, it doesn't work because after rebooting it goes again to syncing and stucks on the last step.
Nevertheless let me check if I'm doing it right; When you say "Before you restore from the backup, quit iTunes, ...." you mean "Before" or "After" because I don't understand how I could reboot the iPad BEFORE I restore from the Backup if it is already restoring.
Just let me write down the procedure to check that it is the right one:
1- I launch iTunes (iPad not connected) and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices, and I check the box to Prevent the iPad to syncing automatically. I click OK.
    2- I quit itunes.
3- I connect the iPad to the computer.
    4- I launch iTunes.
5- I go to Restore from Backup
6- Restore from Backup is finished
    7- I quit iTunes
8- I disconnect the iPad from the PC
    9- I reboot my PC
10- I reboot my iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons... iPad stars.
11- I connect the iPad to my PC.
    12- I launch iTunes
13- I click on sync button.
If the procedure is right then my problem must be another one because when I do it and it starts syncing again the same problems comes back again and the syncing never stops at the last step.
Thank you anyway for your time and support.
    Best regards,
    Francisco
