I got the iPad 2 for Christmas 32gb and for some reason it did not come with the green messages app. Is there any way to get this on my iPad or am I out of luck?

What version of iOS have you get (Settings > General > About > Version) ? Messages was introduced with iOS 5, so if you aren't on that then you can update to it and you should get the Messages app.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTnnes and copy any purchases off the iPad via File > Transfer Purchases (you may also want to copy photos off the iPad as well) and then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'. You may also want to copy off the iPad any important documents, notes, files etc e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case.
You can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button.

Which generation Nano and what software are you referring to? There are no downloadable apps on a Nano.

Does she normally sync to the MAC? IF she does, she can restore her phone from a backup, if she has one.
If she doesn't normally sync to the MAC then she can sync back to her PC and then restore to her backup.
If those options don't work then she is sol

Bought a MacBook air but it did not come with the updates

I bought a MacBook air today, and it did not come the software updates, everything on the dock looks really dated. Is this okay? I bought a different MacBook air earlier this week and it came with all the software updates, the one I purchased today is not updated whatsoever. Is this normal? It sounds as if you did not purchase your machine through an authorized Apple dealer. So I wonder, for example, if you actually purchased the very latest MacBook Air (2014 model) in a factory sealed box. I recommend you make your purchase from an authorized Apple dealer.

Many providers either assign and/or let you set an email address to be used instead of your phone number. All the providers here in Japan do that. It may be possible in the U.S. too.
So while you can send to my phone number (which is only useful if using an app which capable of doing that), you can also send an MMS to a special email address, which makes it possible to send MMS messages from an ordinary email client to my phone. That is very convenient.
On my iPhone 5 there is a setting in Settings > Messages at the bottom that is labeled "MMS Email Address". If I enter the email address there (which has to be registered with my cell phone provider) then people can send me MMS messages from phones or ordinary email clients.

I have an ipod touch 4th gen. and since the last update the lock button no longer works, this has caused it to have a lot of problems now like freezing all the time, kicking me out of almost all my apps, some times even when if locks on its own its not locked and buttons with be pushed in my pocket, and this causes the battiery to die fast. If you did not setup Find My Phone, I'm afraid yo're out of luck. There is no practical way to track your phone.

When I got the IOS 8.2 update it did not come with the apple watch app like it said it wouldo

The Apple Watch app is only on the iPhone. You can't pair a watch with a iPad even though it was included in the update.

Sorry, there is no way around the Activation Lock. You either need to contact the original owner and get them to turn off Find My iPhone and wipe the phone from their iCloud account, or you need to return it to the seller.

Since upgrading from FF 3.x to 8.0.1, I'm experiencing more hangs and crashes. Most recently, FF lost ALL OF MY OPEN TABS. Is there any way to get them back?

I had a TON of browsing history in those tabs and there is NO WAY I could recreate it all manually. Is there any possibility that FF could get them back even though the "Restore Previous Session" menu option is greyed out? BTW, I've had more hangs and crashes with 8.0.1 than with any previous version of Firefox.

Did that inadvertently (can someone at Mozilla tell me if the download procedure has changed? I only wanted to download the new version, not install it right away, but it got installed with no input from me. I DO NOT APPRECIATE THAT. Starting to lose my love of firefox.)
